I will update this review in the future, but I'm writing this after my initial examination as a new patient of Dr. Nathan Cowell's. I just have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised with my entire visit. Kristy, who runs the front, was so helpful, inviting, and easy to work with. For my examination, I've never had such a thorough workup with any medical appointment. Dr. Cowell took time asking questions about my history and listened with his full attention. Then he performed some physical tests and took x-rays. I did not mind when he told me that we would finish the evaluation at my next appointment, as I was so impressed to hear that he would then take the time to carefully go through his findings before making recommendations. They are having a new patient special, and I think it is an amazing deal for the level of care this office provides. My first appointment was last Wednesday 3/22/2023. I was running late and Kristy at the front made me feel really comfortable and welcomed. Dr. Cowell was attentive and knowledgeable in this field of work. He explained to me how important our spines are when it comes to our health problems. During the rest of the appointment, he checked my reflexes and took x-rays. I have a follow up appointment this Friday to see what his findings were in concerns to my vertigo (labyrinthitis) issues. I have never been in a doctor's office where I felt so comfortable and at home right off the bat. Dr. Cowell's office and his staff (Julianna) are amazing! What really stood out to me was that Dr. Cowell was genuinely concerned with curing all that ails us and took the time and effort to do the research necessary to find the root cause of our problems. He took x-rays, got a family history, and talked to me about what issues I was experiencing. Then he developed a treatment plan, rather than just cracking some bones. I really appreciate all the time spent evaluating the situation and the willingness to find a long term fix, rather than just putting a bandaid on the issue at hand. Sooo when I first went to see Dr. Cowell (referred by a friend who says he saved his life), he walked into the x-ray/consultation room and I thought he was the technician he looks that young! I think I actually tactlessly laughed a bit. BUT, even if you might think trusting your back to someone so young seems crazy, he has been practicing for some eleven years. AND he's pretty freaking amazing. At my ripe age of 22 my rough and tough lifestyle has evidently dealt me a pinched nerve in my lower back. Well, when I thought I was going to have to stop walking altogether, he made me feel top notch in a matter of weeks! Dr. Cowell isn't the normal crack-crack-crack doctor: he uses this wrist push jab motion that slips your bones back into place--he can tell where you have problems just by feeling up and down your spine. Plus he throws in a little massage, too! Besides being a good doc, he's also a really cool guy and fun to talk to. I guess because he is so young? Either way, I have been to dozens of chiropractors (move around a lot) and he's top of the list. read more

Dr. Cowell has been treating my sons girlfriend/future daughter in law since an auto accident in January with great success. My time came soon after. I've been in and out of Chriropractors and doctors for years because of back problems but Dr. Cowell is a different story. This guy has magic hands. I 'walked' in after barely being able to walk for a week and went through the xray/test/exam AGAIN and Doc was patient and constantly telling me what his thoughts were. When we finally got to an 'adjustment' i was blown away! Too many times i've gone in to other chiropractors in severe pain and after they wrenched, twisted and folded me i might as well just buy a wheelchair. Dr. Cowell moves your spine into alignment gently. It is night and day from anything i have experienced. Well today i'm going to try and get my nephew in. He locked up pretty hard about a week ago and is finally ready (not walking or sleeping will do that). I have been coming to see Nathan Cowell since January 2010. I have five slipped rib so extremely painful and he works in back into place. I've been coming here every session, and also after I sell at my work and fractured a rib pulled muscles in for Cartlidge in my chest. I was kind of leery about the method Dr. Cowell uses, but time after time it has worked perfectly. My body feels when it's time to go in again although I always do monthly. I had been receiving traditional chiropractic care for several years. While it did help, I was in less pain and my back wasn't going out as much, it wasn't 100%. Dr Cowell's approach was different than any other I had experienced. I'm still in the first half of the treatment plan, but already I'm noticing differences. Besides my neck being less tight and my low back, less achy, the best thing is I don't hurt getting out of bed in the morning. I can stand straight up and don't have to walk hunched over for the first 10-20 steps of the day. Plus the way he does his adjustments is much less painful than the other method I was receiving. Dr. Cowell is amazing! I never believed in Chiropractic...until I was literally in a pinch. I have trouble with sciatica from time to time. Usually my GP tells me to rest, use a heating pad and take pain killers and muscle relaxants. That can take weeks to help. I don't have time to do that. At the point that I first saw Dr. Cowell I had been doing all of the drugs and rest with no relief at all for 2 or 3 weeks.
