I heard about this place from a family member when I was experiencing back pain and they claimed the acupuncture and service was amazing and literally helped them feel substantial pain decrease. Being that I have never had acupuncture I was apprehensive but wanted to give it a try so I called in. First just the set up was seamless and very caring. They were very friendly and even helped me navigate some insurance issues so I set my first appointment. The location itself is in the middle of a medical park (excuse my terminology) but wasn't that hard to find. Once inside I was all set up by the friendly front desk staff and taken to my room. I started with Dr Choi a month ago to help me with a bad lower back. My first visit Dr Choi went over my health history and examined my lower back. I have a degenerative disc problem that is chronic. She prescribed a treatment plan where i receive acupuncture treatment every other week over a 3 month period. After the third treatment I felt some relief and less tightness. Super nice people. I worked with Dr. Yoo cause I was having a lot of back problems. Unlike a lot of chiropractors, he personally spent a lot of time applying different treatments to the problem area. He also teaches you helpful stretches you can do at home in between sessions. He actually tries to get you feeling better and out of his office, so you don't have to keep seeing him and spending extra money. Lastly, there was an insurance snafu, but he handled it extremely gracefully. He really puts patient care above all else. 10/10 would recommend. One thing I would suggest to him is to explain the treatments he's doing before doing them. For example, on day one, he strapped me in a rocker and just started the machine. In a second instance, he used a really loud massage machine on my back without really giving any warning. My left shoulder started to bother me around November 2016. I started with getting massages monthly, which relieved some of the pain and tension. But I still wasn't improving. I had great success with acupuncture in the past so I decided to go this route for my shoulder. Fast forward to April 2017... My research found me at evolve Integrative, which was recommended by my health insurance. I emailed to check availability and received an immediate response and had an acupuncture appointment the next day with Elisabeth Choi. After my treatment I already felt an improvement in my range of motion and less tension in my left shoulder/rotator cuff muscles. She targeted one meridian on my lower right leg as I moved my left arm. I felt like it was a miracle! She then referred me to Dr. Yoo, who was able to take a few minutes to evaluate my shoulder and give me a short treatment with e-stim and my first chiropractic adjustment. I started on April 4th, 2017 and was going weekly. I love that each time I return I am feeling better and making improvements. With the combination of acupuncture, cupping and chiropractic care I am feeling better every day, week and month that has passed. On a recommendation for acupuncture from my doctor I shopped for a provider and found Evolve close to where I live. It had 5 stars so I booked a treatment. The office is very clean and the receptionist, Megan, very helpful and friendly. Elisabeth the acupuncturist was also friendly and explained the procedure. The first procedure went without incident and while I didn't feel any difference in my sciatic pain, I realized it was my first visit. The second visit was the problem. Elisabeth seemed hurried and I chocked it up to them being busy on a Friday. When done with the treatment I stood up and immediately had pain in my hip. I shuffled out to the waiting room and had to sit. I told Megan that I was in pain and she said to "sit as long as you want". It took me a total of about 20 minutes to walk to my car, about 30 yards away because each step was agony. Once home I called the office and asked to speak to Elisabeth. I told her of the pain and asked if it was normal. She asked if it was a dull ache and I said, No, it's a sharp stabbing pain. She said to ice it and I should be fine. I shuffled up the stairs to change and found the problem. She had left two needles in my hip! I pulled them out and called the office on Monday morning. I told Megan what happened and she was surprised and said she would tell Elisabeth. I told her to cancel my appointments and that I wouldn't be back. I don't live in Anaheim, so I can't attest to other clinics in the area, but I was referred to Evolve from a friend whom I visit in OC occasionally. I had wanted to see someone about possibly managing the sun spots/freckles that I get on my face during the summer, and I was pretty interested in acupuncture in general. Elisabeth, the acupuncturist is really nice and she's young which I like, because she's relatable and understands my concerns being a young lady myself! The space is inviting and professional. I guess they use the main area for group yoga classes too, which is pretty cool. The treatment room is comfortable and relaxing. I've gotten a couple treatments, and every time I leave I feel really rejuvenated and pampered. She starts with a couple general acupuncture points (I'm pretty healthy and don't really have any trouble spots that need to be worked on), and then she does facial acupuncture (to help with my fine lines/wrinkles), and finishes with a very thorough facial. The facial includes a facial massage (the best) and all sorts of creams and finishes with a mask, and another facial massage! After 1 treatment, I could see a noticeable difference in my complexion/freckles. And She totally understands that I don't want to get rid of them, just minimize the sun spots. She was very helpful in setting up my appointment, being accommodating, and also taking my history/listening to concerns when I first went in. Hello Yelpers! 9/8/2015: My follow up visit with Dr. Kelvin Yoo went as well as I could hope. He examined my back, identified the source of my pain, and treated it with a combination of 1)heat, 2)deep tissue break down, 3)whole body adjustment. The combination treatment of both acupuncture and chiropractic released a lot of the pain and tension in my back. I'm able to move more than my last visit. I have to return a few more times, but the treatments took me from immobile to mobile! Overall, I'm super happy with their service. 9/3/2015: After two hour bike rides for two consecutive days each (4 hours total), my back was spasming with sharp pains. I could barley sleep, sit, and stand. It was debilitating enough that I had to call off work. I called Evolve and I was lucky enough to make an appointment that same morning! My last visit was over six months ago. Their new office was clean and chic. Well designed and everything looked so sterile. Elisabeth Choi examined me and administered four different treatments: 1) needles - hardly felt the pricks 2) cupping - like a massage 3) rolling table - felt the stretch 4) bleeding - finally some relief I didn't feel a huge immediate relief, but a few hours after the treatment my back was 70% back to normal! I felt so good I went out that night and had a few drinks. As I write this the next morning I can surely say I'm relieved enough to get back to work. I was skeptic about this whole chiropractic world. People advertise it as relief in some way or form for your body from pain or aches. In other instances it may provide people a means of coping with an injury or alleviating pain in your joints or muscles. Whatever the case may be, I was not convinced! A lot of the therapeutic methods chiropractic professionals practice can be looked up on YouTube or the internet. Really folks you want a massage get a massage. You want to alleviate pain? Get some rest, reduce your stress, look up stretches, or even go to the gym but be smart about what you do. All of this beats charging your provider $330 for a 40 min service that included putting a roller massager on your back on some playground mechanical chair which by the way included hot towel service! I am fortunate that my employer covers my insurance and all I paid was $15. We need to seriously take another deep look at our health care system from the patients to the providers and insurers. We can be using this money to cover services that we really need from our health insurers! Got a massage & oil the next day at a Thai massage place and man I feel awesome. They did a great job for $40! That is my take and opinion. I think it beats getting your neck or other body party "adjusted" which can lead to more harm than good in the long run. read more

Yes! I definitely recommend Evolve!! Now I tell my friends who need chiro care to go to my Dr! Dr. Yoo knows what he's doing. I feel refreshed and tensions released in areas that I didn't recognize was related to the trouble area.  Dr makes sure Dr himself treats you. There's no unlisenced people treating you here. He also makes sure each patient has sufficient time to be treated. He doesn't focus on creating a chiropractor patient mill, but he focuses on making sure you're getting treatment to be healed! Integrity seems like a big matter for this clinic and you can tell they care!  I found out about this clinic through my sister. I've never been to a chiropractor before & honestly I was scared of cracking bones lol, but my sister who's been to many TOTALLY recommended Dr and said that he's the best out of all the doctors she's been treated by. It has been 1 month since I started seeing Dr.Yoo at Evolve Integrative. When I was doing a lot of lifting and carrying at my work in Yorba Linda, I twisted my low back pretty bad, and could not walk straight for couple of weeks. I am one of those who are suffering with a lower back pain due to disc herniated or sciatica pain. It was back in December 2016 I had a very severe back pain and was in Detroit on a vacation (right very cold weather for vacation) and suddenly one night I could not even move myself from bed. Next few days went to chiropractor so that I can come back to Orange County. I went to primary physician and went through MRI and found out the disc herniated 8 mm. Went for PT for few weeks but still in too much pain. Found out about evolve integrative health from my primary physician. It was the first time I met Dr Kelvin and Elizabeth. Both are very kind, flexible and great in their professions. After 4 months of both chiropractor and acupuncture sessions, I was able to live my daily life again. Started playing racquetball and gym continuously. Again during the recent move, by mistake I lifted few of the heavy furniture and found myself crying one night with very sever pain in my left leg and felt my left foot fully numb. I could not move from the bed and called Dr Kelvin next day for the appointment. Being his day off, again he helped me out of the pain but I was still limping. My PP asked my to go for physical therapy and I tried again for 5 weeks but could not feel any improvement in the left leg. I went back to evolve integrative health and went through both Chiropractor and Acupuncture sessions.
