Very pleased with my experience today. I went in to get a tire patched and a quote on some new tires on my Mustang. Angel helped me as soon as I walked into the building. They had me pull into a bay and they looked at the tire and told me that it wasn't fixable and I needed a new one. I knew before I went in that all 4 of my tires were pretty bad. Im a single parent and I was trying to get a quote so I could save up some money. I know tires are pricey right now. Angel worked out a great deal on some used tires for me which I got put in today. I've been buying my tires from them for about 30 years, back when they operated out of an old corrugated tin building in Saginaw. When you factor in that they don't tack on extra charges for things like mounting/balancing/valve stems/etc, their tires are no more expensive than what you'd get at a national Discount chain that will go nameless. I did go elsewhere to buy my most recent set of tires, and I've had buyers remorse ever since. Cowser will treat you right, and they won't tell you that your tire has to be replaced every time you run over a nail. read more

Called Curtis told him I needed a Waterpumper for my ole 2009 Denali- and with only 223,000 miles look at the brakes since they are surging etc Bring her on in and we will get'er going I asked Curtis if he wanted me to Pickip The Waterpump- Nah he said- we will take care of that The next day Curtis calls- "Mr B you don't need a Waterpump - the heater hose fitting is leaking- we just replaced it- hope that is ok he said laughing!! The car was ready the next day with new rotors and pads but no new Waterpump! Honest Dependable service- is almost nonexistent - when you find it- it is PRICELESS! We have been here twice now. The first time was just over a year ago. We had to replace all the tires on our RV. I told the salesman over the phone what I needed from the existing tires. He quoted me a price and I was in instant sticker shock. When I expressed my concern over price, he found a comparable tire at about 2/3 of the price of the initial tire I asked about. To let you know. I asked for the brand of tire and size and requested a quote. The salesman didn't start me on a higher end tire, it was me. I agreed to the second tire and made a date to take in my RV. The techs were very nice and I was allowed to view some of the work while it was being done. While they were under the machine, they noted the tail pipe had busted it's bolts and the pipes were hanging a bit. While the machine was there, they fixed the pipe at a very modest cost and tacked it on our bill. They did the work pretty quickly and had us on our way. This was most appreciated because, at the time, it was our home. We had sold our house and were taking our time to find the house that was right for us. Today we took the RV for it's annual inspection. We arrived nice and early. They got someone on it in very short order. The only bad part of the trip was that we did not have the current insurance card. My fault. They were really patient while I contacted my insurance company and had them email me one to my phone. Since we had the machine there, we asked them if they would please check our batteries for the coach. We weren't getting any power at all from them. They sent a guy out and he checked the voltage. They were a little low but not drained. I had thought a recent cold snap had finally killed them. While the tech went back to grab a charger which I didn't even know he was doing. I was searching for any type of breaker, and low and behold it was a simple switch that probably got kicked as it is near the door. He brought the charger because he wanted to see if the batteries could be charged a bit in the event the coach was not operating because it sensed too few amps. Point being, he was offering something out of pure customer service. How rare is that these days. In short, I felt like a we got a good value in product and service. read more

I've been going here for years (since they were located on Saginaw Main St.) almost 30 years. The used to be like the home town tire shop. They always did a good job on truck and trailer tires. I just took in my VW for a flat repair and the messed up my alloy rim getting the tire off, and then the denied it. The only mark on the wheel is the top edge of the rim, not the outside edge, it's about the width of the tire iron. I'm very disappointed and will probably never buy another set of tires for anything that has an alloy wheel , That's 2 cars and a truck. read more

I've been bringing my cars into this shop for 10 year now, everything from my BMW's to the pickups, and in that time I can't log a single complaint. They're fast, friendly, don't try to do unneeded work, diagnose everything properly, have a great selection of tires and good sale prices, etc. I suppose they could have a larger selection of Rims but then I'm not really into the bling thing. Also, I've been bringing my Big Rigs in there too. Best prices on Truck tires, fastest work, and good trade in values as well. Beyond that, their shop is excellent. In fact, it's the only place I'll have any suspension, alignment, chassis, or engine work done on them. Many many times they've been the people who redid the crappy work of larger shops and Dealer networks. I can't speak highly enough of the treatment I've received. If there's a downside to the place, its that they need more service bays. I'm obviously not the only person who has discovered how valuable they are to my bottom line. In recent years their big truck repair business has seemingly doubled, so if you know you'll be in town, try and call ahead to let them know to make room for you. read more

ADDED COSTS TO THE APPROVED QUOTE AND PERFORMED WORK WITHOUT APPROVAL FOR THE CHANGE. I called in twice to get a quote for installing wheels, the 2nd time I was given a break down of every line charge including TPMS sensors and valves, took the vehicle in for the wheel install and the guy looked at me like I offended him when I told him what I needed done. I told him I called and got a quote and was told it wouldn't be a problem and he asked how much the quote was for "because everyone quotes different" (literal quote). I told him I didn't remember the specifics but it was about $100. He was rude and didn't even acknowledge that he would do it for that price and just said "we'll get to it". Despite my better judgement to just leave because of his attitude, I decided to still get the work done and asked how much it will be and he said they'll just do it for $100. So I asked they also mount my spare to a new wheel too (which I provided) and clarified the TPMS sensors need to be moved with the 4 regular wheels but not the spare. He then said it would be $125. It clearly didn't make sense that they charged the same for mounting a non-TPMS as the ones with TPMS (when the quote i was given specified costs for the TPMS), but i wasn't going to fight over a few bucks. He started to walk off with my key and I asked if they'll call me when it's done because I'm just dropping off the vehicle and he said he would. 4 hours later I called the shop shortly before they close since I haven't heard anything and found out they were already done. Went to pick up my vehicle and was told at the counter the cost was $159. When I said it was supposed to be $125 I was told they have to charge for the TPMS valves and the guy was supposed to call me. I just paid them instead of fighting over $30-40, but will never do business there again. Not only do they seem to charge whatever they want depending on who you talk to, but they don't even honor their own quotes and will add on costs without approval. Also, my vehicle was left unlocked after they worked on it and left in their parking lot. Flat out dishonest, shady business. Will never go back and I am going tell the corporate account customer of theirs that recommended them to me about their dishonest tactics and theyll very likely lose that account also. read more

Cowser Tire and Service takes Texas hospitality to a new height. Their friendly and total accommodating service is second to none. I was stranded in Fort Worth with a severely disabled RV coach that had to be towed in. They spend considerable time getting it in their shop and analyzing the issues I was having. Since it was going to take a considerable amount of time I determined I was going to need to find a hotel. Curtis made a few suggestions and even looked up the phone numbers for me. If that was not enough he even arranged for one of his drivers to give me a lift to the hotel. Then to take it to even one step further the driver stopped at a drive in burger place and bought me lunch. WOW! These guys didn't know me from Adam and they were treating me like I was their most cherished customer. Unfortunately for me the damage to my RV was beyond what they felt they could handle so they called me with the news and I figured that was it, but no. I got on an airplane and flew home. By the time I got off the plane Curtis had called all over the country to locate someone that could assist with the repairs of the RV. One would think that is enough but no. Cowser claims to be a Christian based company. Unfortunately they don't pay their hard working men for a whole days work. Not just one worker but all of them. And then when asked about it, it's dismissed. These guys work in the heat, moving and changing tires that weigh more than a small child. All of the men have families and not getting paid for a whole day makes it a tad bit harder to feed their families. read more
