Normally, I pull into line, they know what they are doing, and everything goes smoothly. This time was completely different and honestly the worst service I have ever received there since they opened. As I pulled into line, the technician asked me, "What does this truck use?" I was shocked by the question. It uses oil, specifically Full Synthetic 5W-20. I then explained something they should have already known. My Ford F-250 Super Duty uses a specialty oil drain valve system. You do not remove it with a wrench like a regular oil plug. It has a cap that unscrews, then a special fitting screws onto it, and a wire mechanism opens the valve so the oil drains safely through an orange PVC hose into the oil receptacle. I specifically warned them not to put a wrench on that valve because it is a specialty plug, and if they damaged it, they would be paying to replace it. Immediately after that, another technician wanted to perform the light inspection. I told him I had already checked everything myself, but I let him proceed anyway. He checked the low beams, high beams, left and right blinkers, brake lights, and tail lights. Everything worked fine, exactly as I expected. Then he moved on to checking the tires. He kept looking around the driver's door frame trying to find the tire pressure information on my truck. He looked and looked and still could not find it. Even then, he still seemed confused. I then asked him what the actual tire pressures currently were. He told me he could not check them. I was stunned. I explained that all he needed was a tire pressure gauge, something that looks like a pen that fits on the valve stem and pops out the PSI reading. Simple. Easy. Apparently, he did not even have one. At that point, I suggested they pull up the previous service records because all my information should already be there from prior oil changes. The technician admitted he did not know how to access the records. Meanwhile, another technician was already preparing to pump oil into the truck. I literally had to yell, "Stop!" because I wanted confirmation that they were actually putting Full Synthetic oil into my engine. I demanded that he read the oil specifications out loud before pumping it in. He recited the specs back to me, but I still had to take his word for it because they would not physically show me the container or label before pumping it into my truck. Afterward, they checked the dipstick and showed me the oil level. Then came the pricing. I pulled out the Valvoline discount certificate they emailed me, valid through May 24, 2026, for either $35 off or 20% off service. They scanned it, but then I got hit with an upcharge of around $12.50 for extra oil. Here is the scam with these oil change places: they know exactly how many quarts every engine requires, yet they conveniently structure their full service to include one quart less than what many trucks actually need. My truck requires 6 quarts, but their package only includes 5 quarts, so they automatically charge extra for the additional quart. In my opinion, it is a long-running upsell tactic used by quick oil change businesses to squeeze more money out of customers. Then they handed me the service reminder sticker. I looked at it and immediately noticed something was wrong. The next oil change was listed at only 3,000 miles. I said, "That math does not add up, and that is not the specification for Full Synthetic oil." The technician then admitted that they now put 3,000-mile reminders on everything by default unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. That made absolutely no sense because Full Synthetic oil is designed for much longer intervals generally 5,000 to 7,000 miles minimum, and in many cases 8,000 to 10,000 miles depending on driving conditions and manufacturer recommendations. When I pulled out of the service bay, I stopped and asked the technician guiding vehicles out how long he had worked there. He said only a couple of months. I asked him directly if he understood the proper change intervals for Full Synthetic oil. First, he said 5,000 to 7,000 miles. Then he corrected himself and said 8,000 to 10,000 miles. I told him exactly; so why are customers getting 3,000-mile reminder stickers? He admitted that was simply their default setting now unless customers requested otherwise. I told him I had been going to that location nearly since it opened, and today was the worst service I had ever experienced there. The old crew used to service vehicles quickly, professionally, and confidently. They knew what they were doing. He then told me many of the experienced employees had quit or moved with management. I told him I remembered the old employees. I could go on with all their mistakes, this is enough.

(1) Battery replacement and recheck system - $314 (2) BG Platinum Fuel air induction service - $245 (3) Replace rear brake pads and rotors - $550 Total with labor, parts, fees and taxes - rounded $1375 The next day I went to 3 other places for their estimates and made arrangements for the work to be done. The battery was fine and worked like a charm and had a lot longer life span for my car. This was verified by 2 dealers and mechanics. Big savings on my part!!!! The rear brake pads and rotors, which I personally inspected with the mechanic were fine. They had lots of life left and did not need to be replaced. Big savings on my part!!!! Christian Brothers should be ashamed of themselves. I am a 78 year young widow on a fixed income. I trusted them not only because of their name, but also my son said they do good work. I am ashamed of the way I was trying to be forced into making another appointment with them to do work on my car that didn't need to be done. Oh yes, did I mention that my car is a 2021 Nissan Rouge with less than 15,000 miles. Christian Brothers can't be trusted. They act nice on the outside but inside they are thieves. They smile while taking your hard earned money for unnecessary work. I am very thankful that I listened to that little voice inside my head that told me something was wrong and to get other estimates. I am a devote believer in GOD and I like to hope that others are as well. I will never go back to Christian Brothers. I hope that who ever reads this uses caution with their car and listen to that voice inside (which by the way for those of you who don't know--is the Holy Spirit). We are supposed to help others, not take their money. We are to be kind and not deceive and lie. Be careful and take time to get second opinions and breathe before you jump. Don't be forced into decisions that will cost you precious money that you won't get back. I hope this helps others going forward. I normally don't do things like this, but Christian Brothers made me angry. They tried to take advantage of me because I am single female and should trust them because they are males and know better. Time we stand up for our rights, our hard earned money and the respect we deserve. Have a wonderful and blessed day everyone. Marilyn J

My Audi A4 had gotten to the point where it sounded like it was ready to fall apart. I had previously taken it to the dealership and was quoted over $1,500 to replace my left wheel bearing. Because I simply wasn't in a position to spend thousands of dollars on a repair right now, I had tried going another route with a mobile mechanic--and unfortunately ended up getting ripped off in the process. Needless to say, by the time I came to NRH Auto, I was frustrated and honestly a little apprehensive about trusting another mechanic. When I arrived, I spoke with one of the owner's sons. He took the time to look up the part and put together a quote for the repair. The initial amount was still a little outside of what I could comfortably afford, so I simply asked if there was anything they could do to work with me. And they did. They were able to get my repair done for about half of what the dealership had quoted me, and there was no sacrificing the level of service. My car was completed in approximately 2 1/2 hours, and they even dropped me off at my home nearby and picked me back up when my car was ready. What stood out to me most was how I was treated. I never felt pressured, taken advantage of, or like they were trying to add unnecessary repairs. They listened, worked with me, and got the job done. After dealing with a dealership quote I couldn't afford and then being taken advantage of by someone else, I think I've finally found an honest, skilled, and reasonably priced mechanic shop that I can trust with my Audi A4. Thank you, NRH Auto, for treating me like a person and not just another repair ticket. You have definitely earned a returning customer!
