Today I caught a flat next door from the jiffy lube at the takara Japanese restaurant. I felt so hopeless not sure if you'll would be able to help me and replace my tire. I called you'll and a nice gentleman answered my call and I expressed that I had a flat tire and that I was afraid to drive my car to their shop because (I'm just a girl) lol, I was afraid to drive on a flat tire but this guy reassured me that he could help and he sent two young gentleman right to me and they took off my flat tire and replaced it with my spare. I thanked the two young men and assured them that I will be following them to jiffy lube to pay for the service they provided and they told me that it was okay not to worry about paying for the service. I surely thought that they were kidding me so I followed them to jiffy and the mgr (I'm assuming) told me the exact same thing that the services were free. Super slow, 4 cars in line for vehicle inspections. It's been 40 minutes and they have gotten through 2 of the cars.

They lied!!! Said my vehicle needed a new battery and other repairs, this whole diagnosis was made by briefly looking under the hood. I took it to Auto Zone and they said the battery was at 90%. My mechanic squeezed me in the next day n confirmed that my battery was 90% n the other repairs were unfounded. Went to Jiffy Lube yesterday for an oil change and got charged a premium. They also offered to replace my cabin and air filter for $45 each although they didn't have them in stock and would have to order the filters online first. The person working on my car didn't bother to put my items back into the glove compartment and instead put them on the floor of my car, so I got to have fun putting the pieces back in including a piece of the glove compartment itself. It's a little disappointing as I've been to this location multiple times in the past few years with no issue until yesterday, and I don't have much interest in coming back. Been to this jiffy line a few times. They did their job. But it took over 45 mins to get an oil change.

We took two cars in for inspection. One also needed an oil change. We sat for hours. In the end, they screwed up the oil drain plug and said someone else had screwed it up. Now my car has an oil leak which they assured me that the threads were fine and it wouldn't leak. And the busted the lense off the brake light of the other car which they glued back on. I've always appreciated jiffy lube. Their staff is always very nice and walk you though everything that needs to be done and their prices are very fair. Some of their older locations used to repair glass, this one sadly doesn't, but no worries. I've brought my SRT Charger here several times and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. They special ordered my BMW OEM filter and Oil as specified by my owners manual and performed my first non-dealer service on my 435i Turbo. They provided an analysis of dozens of other functions and filled all the fluids. It was done quickly and I really appreciated their courteous approach and thank you's as I left. I won't be back. $60 for an oil change is just wrong. They gave me a $13 coupon after I said I would talk it somewhere else but I've never paid more than $30 for an oil change. I will take it to the locally owned car shop I have taken it to for a long time. Only reason I stopped here was because it was conveniently on my way to work. These guys can't even tighten a drain plug. We paid $40 to have them change the oil and filter that we brought. I've got two huge straight black oil spots at my house now. The car is a diesel so it's hard to know if they even changed the oil at all. Thanks for the help Tyler, GFY. read more

I over pay for oil changes all the time with jiffy lube for the following reasons: 1. They are fast 2. They vacuum the floors and wash the windows 3. They check for safety (filters, blades, lights, ect) 4. They top off wiper fluids. Today I was there for over an hour. There was no wait when I got there, granted they did rotate my tires, it wasn't busy. While my receipt claims the floors were vacuumed they weren't, at all and I really needed it. They didn't put the cap back on my tire after refilling it :/ a detail I didn't notice until I got home. I guess I'm just disappointed that it took so long and the work was so sloppy. I asked for my blades to be changed, they weren't but that didn't make it on my bill so their loss as I am perfectly capable of changing my own, but was feeling lazy this morning. I've been using this Jiffy Lube location at 3172 Basswood Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76137 for many years since moving back to Texas in 2000. I live close to it, and it has always been very convenient and easy to get in or out of for oil changes or State Inspections. Not only have I always used this location for my 2 vehicles, but my 3 grown children also have taken their cars there based on my recommendations and probably some of my neighbors as well. The different people who have worked there over the years have always been professional, polite, and civil. Today I took my vehicle there for a State Inspection only to find out they were not doing State Inspections there and when I asked one of the young men working there when they expected to be doing them again he told me, and I quote, "Until further notice". I didn't bother to tell him I didn't think he would be giving me further notice because he didn't know me, but I just said ok and pulled my car out, so I could get back on Basswood to leave. Imagine my surprise when another young man who was working there came running out into the parking lot and started slapping my passenger side window, which I rolled down. He rudely and in a very aggressive manner asked me why I had cursed out his man. I told him that I did not, to which he replied in a louder than normal voice, "So you didn't tell him F---You" I once again told him I did not curse anybody out, nor would I, without just cause of course. Fortunately, at 65 I've had very little cause to curse anyone and if I do, I stand right in front of them, eye to eye. The more I thought about it, the more it irritated me because of his generally rude attitude and the obvious assumption that I had cursed at one of the other employees. Beware: We called around to make sure we wouldn't get ripped off on price for an oil change. They told us before we went in we should expect to pay $45 for semi-synthetic and we had a $15 coupon to bring it to $30. When we got there, they then said the oil change would be $60 for semi-synthetic. We went ahead with the work because we were already there. When they finished we received a bill for $80 gross and $65 net the coupon. They had it itemized as $60 for the oil and filter plus $20 for labor. Fraudulent and dishonest. read more

Vacationing in Fort Worth and needed an oil change. As a general rule, I usually will not patronize a business if they have received less than favorable reviews on Yelp, however, not being familiar with the area name recognition out weighed Yelp reviews...and I made the right decision! As soon as I pulled up, I was quickly greeted with smile and waved right up. I was happy to see that they were appropriately staffed for a busy Saturday afternoon so the total wait time was about 10 minutes from start to finish. The staff was professional, courteous, informative and friendly. They provided me with different options and respected my decision without trying to forcefully up sell a package I did not want. When the job was completed, the manager, Judy went over all the specifics with me in detail and asked me if I had any further questions for her. She was attentive, professional, warm and friendly. Speaking with Judy it quickly became very obvious to me that the "customer comes first" culture cascaded from the top and continued with each staff member. I needed an oil change and fluids refilled, and decided to stop by in the morning. I was the only car there, they got me in and out pretty quick. They suggested the High Mileage oil change, since my car has 108,000 miles on it. It costs more but, sounded good to me(I don't know a lot about oil or I'd change it myself). They had fresh coffee and magazines in the waiting area. Workers were friendly as well. I paid about $60 total for it all(with my newer car, i just got the cheapest version oil change(around $20 or so), but, since this car is older, figured it can't hurt and may help if they said so. They vacuumed the car, cleaned windows, too. Great process all together. read more
