Recommend by a local shop for a specific treat. I thought she said to have the Cody Crack. Image the look on the face of the owner when I asked for Cody Crack. The owner laughed and said they have Cody Crunch. We both laughed. The Cody Crunch is a tasty little morsel covered in white chocolate. Come to mama! It's delicious. They even ship orders. Big Balls in Cowtown! This place does have big balls of taffy, sheets of fudge, piles of sweets! I've never seen such a display of Jelly Belly jellybeans. They have a huge vertical display that lets you individually select your favorite jellybean flavors. They've got an assortment of fudges. My fav- peanut butter fudge- it tastes like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, but a zillion times better. Keep an eye out for their chocolate covered treats, like potato chips, or pretzels. The store is cute, well decorated, well lit. Some of the stuff is sold individually, some by the pound. They also sell some toys and things to decorate your sweet spot around the house. The staff was friendly- no you can't taste one of everything to make up your mind. They're happy to sell you one of everything though. I felt like a kid in a candy shop here! read more

The homemade chocolate was good, but I didn't appreciate the political judgment remarks, while purchasing the candy. The woman behind the counter asked where we were visiting from, and I said Denver. She said that her sister lives there and brought up the new shopping bag legislation that recently went into effect. I tired to pass it off, but only comments of judgement came out of her mouth and even the young girl made faces that were very judgmental as well. Here's something for you to think about before you judge another communities efforts to limit trash, etc. There are about 3 million people living in the Denver metro area. If on any one given day every person has to purchase a shopping bag, to then throw it away, that would total 3 million bags. How many times would those 3 million bags fill up your little candy store??? Think about it. I'm supportive of my community in trying to decrease our amounts of trash, and don't have a problem with the bag requirements. We have supported your community as well, as tourists who contributed thousands of dollars from recent our visit. Please note that we will never contribute to this business again. read more

They offer samples so you can make sure to bring something home that suits your palate. I also love that they offer a 12-month fudge subscription, which is great for a Christmas gift or anyone who lives out of town. Went in for first time and was very disappointed when I got home. I was like wow they have Orange cream and Lemon cream. BUT when I got home I bit in one and it was a TRUFFLE regardless what the sign said. I contacted them and the guy told me yes sign little misleading but they are a truffle company so I should have asked more even though I said in front of the lady wow CREAMS. We visited our family in Wapiti and stumbled upon this gem when we went shopping in downtown Cody. We purchased a variety of treats and the chocolate covered potato chips as well as the cowtown crunch quickly became a family favorite. Both treats tastes so fresh since they make it at the store, it's absolutely delicious and highly addicting. We will definitely visit this store again the next time we are in the area; but in case my cravings are hard to control, I'll definitely order their treats on-line. read more

My sister and I stopped in a few years back when we were taking our Mom's ashes back to Greybull. We bought a small bag of their Cowtown Crunch aka Cody Crack. Started an epidemic! We were hooked! Ordered from the website for Christmas presents. Last year when we went back to Cody, as soon as our plane landed, we got in our rental car and made a beeline for Cowtown Candy. My sister bought a large bag of the original, where as I bought a large bag of the original and the Crunch drizzled with dark chocolate. My sister demolished her bag by the afternoon the next day. (I still had mine) We ended up going back again, and stocking up on more. If you get a chance to stop by, be prepared to become "addicted" to their Cowtown Crunch. read more

Received a sample at our hotel, the chocolate boots were creamy and smooth. Had to make a trip over before the rodeo to get some. Store was beautiful, staff was very helpful.
