By Joseph Mas I worked with Kelvin Roquemore of Roquemore…read moreSkierski on a complex partnership dispute during a major professional transition. I specifically searched for a Texas attorney who focuses on partnership and shareholder disputes and chose Kelvin because his background aligned directly with this type of business litigation. Early in the engagement he helped craft my resignation letter. The language and structure he recommended later became pivotal as the matter progressed. This early strategic positioning set the tone for the entire engagement. Kelvin quickly absorbed a large volume of historical documents and years of business context in a short period of time. That rapid understanding of the history and legal landscape created immediate confidence. Communication was direct, timely, and collaborative. He consistently made space for my perspective and ensured my position was understood before moving forward. Strategy always aligned with my goals and long term considerations. I have worked with hundreds of attorneys across business environments. Very few operate as true strategists. Kelvin consistently approached the matter as a strategist rather than a technician and planned several moves ahead. When the case required transition to Delaware Chancery Court, Kelvin helped identify and vet specialized Delaware counsel and coordinated a fast, smooth handoff. The collaboration between teams felt tightly aligned and highly organized. He remained involved as a sounding board and advisor throughout the remainder of the process. Opposing counsel brought decades of experience in complex business disputes. Kelvin remained methodical, focused, and confident throughout. The matter concluded successfully and sooner than originally projected. This experience was a major professional turning point, and having steady and strategic legal guidance made a significant difference in how I was able to move forward. Kelvin Roquemore is a founding partner of Roquemore Skierski with more than 25 years of experience in complex business litigation. He is a Tulane Law graduate and former Fortune 500 senior counsel. He is also active in community service, youth mentoring, and local nonprofit initiatives. Even after the case concluded he remained in touch as a trusted advisor. He is someone I strongly recommend to Texas business owners facing partnership or internal business disputes. Even beyond legal representation, he is someone worth knowing.

I hired them to help with a construction company that stole my down payment, and they ended up mishandling my case too. They assigned me a contractor lawyer right before trial, filed my case in the wrong court, and then tried to charge me extra for a case in the wrong small claims court. I got that fee removed, but they should have returned most of my money. NO WORK WAS DONE. I strongly advise DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.

My phone calls and texts (many of both) were returned promptly and efficiently. He is very knowledgeable of the law and all it entails. If I could give Mr. Dunn and his staff 10 stars I would do so in a heartbeat! My case took almost 11 months to be DISMISSED by NO FAULT of Mr. Dunn. It's the Harris County Court System that is so overloaded with cases...as I am sure with every other major city in the United States. It's truly not the Attorney/Law Firms intention to go almost a year to finish a case. It is simply the court system. Huge "SHOUTOUT" to Emily at The Dunn Law Firm. You were wonderful in all the patience you had with me regarding my concerns. In closing, you will NEVER REGRET hiring Mr. Dunn in the legal matter you are facing. He knows the law and on top of that he is really a kind, considerate and remarkable Attorney. Plus ( a big plus) I feel he truly cares about his clients. BLESSED to have him represent me.

(although that never happened to me) But this did: I NEVER received return call or emails regarding my case for 5 months! Told me numerous times he was filing a lawsuit, never did. His advice was to stop payment on my car...it was REPOED...after I let him know I was discouraged...he DROPPED me as a client. He left me with a REPO, now CREDIT issues, DISTRUST, HUMILIATION, and he doesnt care.....he said "good luck" Who does that? How shady...thanks for allowing my car to get repo....I'm not sure how he can have a clean conscience. Wow. How does someone feel good about themselves knowing they let "his expert advice" cause someone to have a REPO??? I'm sure there's much better, legit attorneys out there!!

He declined to even answer me back, which is what I expected. He filed a case 08/2010 demanding repayment of a loan from a relative made by me. I moved out of the country for 5 months and wrote countless E-mails asking him to move forward with the case. He did not answer. Upon my return the relative made payments until 9/2014. I filed a small claims case in 5/2016 and the relative's attorney was able to win the case due to Mr. Dunklin's negligence. He stated that the starting date for Statute of limitations was 08/2010 because her attorney said the loan was "payable upon demand". The defendant in the case has attacked me throughout the 7 years with extreme abusive E-mails anytime the loan was mentioned. It was very painful and traumatic. All because Mr. Dunklin could not be bothered to set a court date, or even answer my E-mails. I had given him a deposit which would cover this. When I was finally able to reach him by phone (he only answered because it was a new number and he did not know it was me), he immediately said that he would return the $1,500 retainer. I believe this was an admission to his negligence.

He called me back promptly and gave me a fantastic overview of the real estate purchase process, answered all my questions about the contract, and put my mind at ease about the whole ordeal. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the process and would definitely recommend him in the future.
