I recently switched my cell phone to COX Mobile. After the switch my cell phone could only receive text messages. I couldn't make or receive calls or send text. Understaffed, long waits. I came to drop off a modem, that's it. Had to wait and wait. Employee was grumpy on top of being slow. Went to the store an early August to return video equipment for my 90-year-old mother They told me that they will make sure my mother's bill is adjusted to show Internet only. When she got the bill in a month later, it was not adjusted. I had to go back-and-forth between the lobby and billing. Neither one took responsibility. I did finally get it straightened out over the phone. I do not recommend the Cox store on Deming Street. They seem to have no problem trying to take advantage of the elderly we are reconsidering our own service due to their shady business practices. read more

I know this place gets slammed in the ratings, but they have always been great with me. Now if I were to write a review on the overall Cox Brand, well that's another story. Between cable, internet, and phone I am sure we can rehash a horror story or two. This location in Manchester is solid. For those who have spent anytime in the Manchester area can probably remember the old location on Sheldon Road. That place was a miserable cesspool with employee attitude to match. Here at the Solutions Store you are immediately greeted by a "handler". They ask you what you need or what issue you have and immediately funnel you to the appropriate team. I had a bad DVR Box and I was in/out within 10 minutes. I had a new box in hand compete with instructions on how to install and initialize the new piece of equipment. I got home and was up and running within 15 minutes. Going to the Cox Solutions Store usually means something has gone terribly wrong. However, with the new store and the way they have streamlined efficiency really improves the overall experience. Way to go Cox! read more

I visited this store because I was a new Cox customer and had a modem shipped to my home for self-instal. Although the installation went okay, the modem wasn't working great and I was told to bring it to the store to exchange it for a new one, as they thought the one I had been sent was defective. I was annoyed that I had to drive to the store to swap it out since I had specifically selected the ship-to-home option. But I didn't have to wait long at the store and the lady who helped me was pleasant. It ended up being that one of the lines to my house was the problem, so I ended up needing a technician to come to my house to repair it. In the end, I'm not a huge fan of Cox because of the way they do business (charging you to have a tech come to your house), but the store itself was quick to help and friendly. read more

I show up at the Cox Store every two years to get a better price on my bundle or services. I have always been helped by the same young woman (wish I knew her name) and she always manages to find me a deal and save me money. This time I was in and out in less than ten minutes, saved $40 a month and upgraded my internet...something the family needs since we are all streaming for work and school. ALWAYS great customer service. Don't ever order COX service online. Go to the store. It will be a seamless experience. read more

Employees are not empowered to solve issues. We have the top tier modem and internet service for our home. It is poor at best, and we rely on this service to work from home. With little to no competition they have no reason to improve the situation. It does seem at times that our demand for internet is being choked back somehow. Late at night and periods during the day routinely have little service, with no ability to reach the internet or stream television. I had service to two homes at one time and it was equally poor in both places, yet I paid hundreds in fees. Even billing is screwed up....try logging in to your second location and find it completely inaccessible. The only way to sort it was to go into the Cox store, which ALSO routinely can't access their own system computers. The poor employees know the situation...can't even look you in the eye. When you do a modem test the Cox app completely misrepresents the actual modem service... when our service is completely offline according to all our devices, it shows as offering maximum service, beyond what is guaranteed by our contract. The joke is on us. We lose every time, every single day. Can't wait to move. Oh yeah, and I paid for devices to improve our network. They are offline most of the time. Don't bother with the expensive pods. read more

We have cable at several homes and have had this Ct service for many years but We were paying the most for the least tv and cable channels...and We mean least. She was helpful in taking us thru options and probably the onlybteason we did not cancel service today. read more

We have had the absolute best service the whole time we have had COX. In fact when it was very rainy and our tv was BRAND NEW FLAT SCREEN, the technician they sent, gave us his cell # in case we had any more problems. There was a crack in an outside wire, and he fixed it within 30 minutes. They even call as they are on their way, because sometimes they can come sooner, then they tell you. They even called us back, to ask how the service was. When the caller ID stops coming onto our tv, they fix it right over the phone, and call us back, to make sure it is coming up again. We live right in Manchester, so not sure if that has anything to do with the very quick and thorough help we enjoy. AT&T SUCKS. They have ZERO service~ read more

I recently had to replace my cable box/dvr because my old one went ka-put! Its been many years since I had to go to Cox Cable in person for an issue. I usually call their service line which is a whole different can of worms that isn't part of this review. The last time I had to make an in person visit to Cox Cable I had to drive to their main office building off of Utopia St in Manchester and that was a nightmare experience simply because there was a line out the door and it took about an hour and a half of standing in line to finally get to the service window. Granted, I went on a Saturday morning which is probably not the best time to go. Fast forward to 2013 and I drive to Utopia St and see a sign that says their customer service location has moved to another location in a small plaza off of Deming St. This is the same plaza that has Panera Bread. Luckily this wasn't a big detour for me. Parking at the new location is somewhat of a challenge because depending on when you go there may not be many spaces available. When I walked into the store, to my pleasant surprise there were no lines and this was on a Saturday early afternoon! The interior of the store is open, bright and clean. As soon as I walked in a customer technician approached and asked how he could help me and I explained my situation. He immediately handled my cable box/dvr exchange with no hassle. I was able to get in and out of there with a new cable box/dvr in like 15 minutes. I noticed that there were enough employees where customers who walked in were helped out right away. The nice thing and definite plus for me was that the customer tech didn't try to push any new services on me because I was there just for an equipment exchange. I like the concept of this new dedicated store where you can shop for new services/equipment or go there for any billing issues or for any troubleshooting issues with Cox equipment. I didnt give this place 5 stars because I've only been there once but based on that initial visit I was very happy with the experience. read more

I tried calling several times and no one answered and right when I was able to get there the girl working locked the door right while I was at it and basically told me to go away. Ten minutes to the end of the UConn, Kentucky game and Cox cable goes completely out. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone, holding almost an hour, there is no way anyone is going to pick up. I am going to insist they release me from my contract. This is absolutely the worst service I have ever had. if you are looking for a provider, run don't walk away from cox. Stay away from Homelife Security. We've had it about 2 years now and we've never had the system work properly for longer than a couple of months. We've had various parts of the system replaced and had countless system refreshes AND service visits (which means taking off work). Camera fails to communicate with system almost daily and fails to record, despite countless hours working with Cox to fix it. We've also had several communication failures including one resulting in the police coming to the house because the system failed to disarm and then to abort. The app also hasn't always worked according to the settings and so the system rules haven't been followed. We've also had 2 instances where the app didn't disarm the system in the morning from our bedroom and so and we've had to leave the bedroom to turn it off at the control panel, which of course means that we set off the alarm as soon as we left the bedroom. what an effing joke "customers come first" -ha! the pricing on the crap service is appalling! half the time you cannot access the on demand site, if you pause it, you go to resume and it will not instead sticking where you have to go all the way out and then start over. the "high speed" internet is horrible. when they claim they will do anything to "keep you as a customer because of your 15 year plus with us" , they do not know what they are saying as the one rep put me on hold, it hung up and when i tried to get him back, i was told he 'went out to lunch" after being on the phone with me for 40 minutes! solving problems is not a strong suit, 5 different techs came to check on why the internet was not working and there were 5 different reasons they gave. cox sucks cox. at&t uverse here we come! everyone has said they want out in the neighborhood. i am finally on board with switching. being spoken to like i am not worth their time was the last of many chances they have been given. read more
