Best liquor store and best employees! It's a little hard to turn into but it's worth the effort.

The set up of the place is like a liquor store, bar, and convenient store! The location is great and they were getting a lot of business, I had just wished that they had more than 1 bartender especially during specials.

Well....what about a place that is all those things? Enter Evergreen Liquors. I came in during a weekday, so the place was very chill and relaxed. Not super busy at all. I was excited to see that they had the newly released Eagle Rare 12 Year, so I definitely had to order a pour of that. I was on my way to a tour, so I couldn't stay long. I grabbed my drink and walked around looking at all their bottles available. I was like a kid in a candy store. The drinking area is more like a vineyard or brewery tasting room feel to it vs. a cocktail lounge - at least in the early afternoon. But they told me the are open to 11pm. I really wish I stayed longer so I could come back to try more bourbons. If or when I'm coming back to Louisville, this is definitely on my short list of spots I have to re-visit.

The patio is perfect during the fall and summer for cigars and a pour. The selection at their tasting bar is top notch and the pricing is great. My favorite spirits store by far !

I love Liquor Barn. Like, SERIOUSLY love Liquor Barn. There are a lot of options for adult…read morebeverages in greater Louisville, but after trying many, many options, Liquor Barn shines as my absolute favorite. Each time I walk in the door it's as if the clouds part, the sun shines down on the Craft Beer taps, and a choir of angels sings to me. This location is the closest to my house, which is both good and bad. Good because it's about a 10 minute drive. Bad because it's ONLY a 10 minute drive. :) First up, the aesthetics. You're greeted by the current/seasonal beverages, usually thematically displayed with the current season. This location is newer than the location I used to frequent, and has a very contemporary, comfortable atmosphere without feeling warehouse-y. At the left side of the store is Craft Beer Central. Here you will find a countless variety of craft beers in every style what I'm willing to be is hundreds of craft breweries from all around the country. IPAs. Stouts. Pilsners. Ales. Lagers. SO many to chose from. To one side are shelves of six- and twelve-packs of beers, as well as bombers. There is about a 16-foot section of singles for build-your-own-six-pack evenings (which I tend to favor). Along the back wall are the beer coolers sporting domestics and craft beers in an endless variety to style and flavor. For me, however, the shining star is the growler bar. Here you can pull up a bar stool and sample any one of (I think) 16 different craft beers. The current selections are on the flat screens and there is a printed list as well. You can get 2 oz samples and you can get a full pint (but keep in mind you're limited as to how much you can consume) at varying prices. The 2 oz samples range (on a current visit) from $.75 to $3.00. This is where the fun takes place, because you can sample several in your search for something to fill your growler. The staff at the growler bar is very knowledgeable and helpful, and their guidance has helped me find the right beer during those times that I couldn't make up my mind because of what I'm going to call "Craft beer decision overload". Eventually I always walk out with either a mix-my-own-six or a growler of something I haven't had before, and I always walk out knowing I made a good decision (if buying beer for a Friday night can be labeled a "good decision") and that I'll like what I'm taking home. Suffice it to say, Amazing selection, Helpful staff, and more Craft Beer than anywhere else in town. (this is an unsubstantiated claim, but could quite possibly be the truth.)

What brought…read moreme out here was the Tailspin Ale Fest early bird ticket sale and there was also a post that there was gonna be a $15 pour of an alcoholic beverage that is illegal in 14 other states, that had my curiosity. Evergreen is located off Shelbyville Rd next Five Guys and there is parking in front of the store. The inside is very big and has just about everything you can imagine. I did have a little bit of a difficult time finding the the ticket sales but eventually found them. The store itself was doing the $15 pour of Sam Adams. It was in a special edition bottle (pictured) and I was told by the employee that the pour I received was 28% ABV (Hence why it's illegal in 14 other states) and it's only made every 2 years. My first sip of it, OMG probably the strongest liquor I ever tasted. I sipped very slowly and walked around the store and looked at what they had. This location is known to do special pours and releases of liquor and will have Facebook events advertised for it as well. Overall I was impressed with the layout of the store and like I said before you will most likely find what you need here. Staff was very awesome and knowledgeable of the limited edition release of Sam Adams. I'd come out here for special releases of other things but, I don't live close enough and I'm usually not off in time for work either but, I do find myself back here.
