I have been in Clemson for almost four years now. I was looking for a coffee like one I get back at home that is s'mores flavored. Just left here and very disappointed. First I was asked 4 times to repeat my order before being asked to come to the window. I was ordering a 20oz spiced chai extra hot with drizzle of honey. I was also going to order crazy croissant. When I got to the window and ordered I immediately received the crazy croissant but had to wait on my drink so my croissant is cold and the spiced chai was extra hot but it was extra hot milk. Barely a taste of spiced chai and definitely no honey. So I just wasted $12. Yes, I could have went back but I would have had to wait in line either way drive-thru or inside. I normally never post reviews. Honestly, this is my first one in about 15 years. However, I feel it is time to say something. I visit this local business as well as the Pickens location at least twice a week, sometimes more. The past 4 times that I have ordered from here, my order was wrong. I normally order online for faster pickup. I almost always order my drink with "drizzle inside cup," which is a .35 cent extra charge. I don't mind paying that extra charge, but when I pay for something extra, I expect to receive it, and that has not been the case for the past 4 orders. Also, it has been extremely bitter. I don't know if they feel rushed to fulfill these orders, but reading a label and following the directions on the cup shouldn't be that hard. read more

Good atmosphere and decent coffee. I got a Gnarly Surfer with an extra shot, which is one of their summer drinks. It's caramel, hazelnut, and butter pecan. Not my favorite coffee ever but pretty good. Nice staff and quick service as well. I really liked the color scheme (gray with light blue chairs) and it was quiet. Great coffee shop! I am visiting my family from Texas and I love trying local coffee shops when I travel. Coyote coffee did not disappoint. They have a very extensive menu for specialty coffee drinks and you can get each one hot, cold, or blended. I love getting my drinks blended but it is hard to find a coffee shop that has that option. They also have a long list of breakfast items as well as smoothies. I got one of their spring specials: Leprechauns Delight (chocolate, shortbread, vanilla bean, and sprinkle of cinnamon). It was AMAZING! I am not a fan of very sweet drinks so I got it half the sweetness and it was prefect. read more

Okay I am going to start by saying I very rarely leave a negative review but felt compelled to do so today being a coffee lover. My husband and I ordered 2 large ice coffees and 2 muffins... it's was $23. I seriously do not pay this much at Starbucks however at that price point it needs to be exceptional and to be honest it was absolutely terrible, it had so much chocolate I couldn't even taste the coffee. Very poorly made! Plus the 2 muffins we recieved were cold??? Really you couldn't pop them in the microwave? Also caramel was going down the outside of the cup which got all over my hands while driving... not fun and just very disgusting over all. read more

They have really good coffee, but they are super slow and always seem disorganized when I go to the one in Easley. There is about 3 different people working one register. It never fails, it will be one person before me and as soon as I step up "can you give me a minute" then it was 3-5 mins before my order is ready not to mention the wait time to get my coffee. The place has a lot of promise with good rich coffee and a nice aesthetic when you walk in. Lots of options for folks who like specialty drinks. We ordered our drinks and breakfast sandwiches and went to pay with our AMEX card and was told NO Amex....I saw the "Amex cards welcome" sign on the entrance and said so. The barista gave an annoyed look and got her manager who told me that there was a $25 minimum. My bill was $20...the manager told me she would be happy to give me the name and number of the "boss lady"...Really? With that type of attention to customer service I wouldn't expect this place to last without staff change. My breakfast sandwich was so salty I gave it to my dog. I am a resident of Pickens for the past 5 years. We moved here because of the small town charm. I found Coyote Coffee and my husband and I are hooked! The coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is as well. We took a family member last year on a Saturday night and enjoyed some great music too! Our teenagers from Columbia love Coyote as well. We make a stop almost every time they visit. I have better service at the Pickens location than the Easley location, but the quality is always on point. Starbucks is getting way too political for my taste and I always prefer supporting local businesses if I can. Love we have this little gem in Pickens! read more

The product I would give a 4. The service is a 2. Very inattentive to the inside customers trying to order. If you go, I would recommend going through the drive thru. Their focus is definitely on the drive thru much more than inside at the counter. If you have plenty of time, this could be the place for you. Four friends and I, visiting from NYC, came to the cafe for coffee. We sat outside with food from another restaurant. We were told that we couldn't have outside food, which we understood. However, the way the employees handled the situation was disrespectful and inappropriate. I went in to ask for ketchup and instead of being upfront about their policy of outdoor food, they all started whispering and looking at me. I would have appreciated an honest explanation of the policy right then instead of the immature snickering that I was received with. It was unacceptable customer service and I do not recommend attending this location. *Update: The owner, Tunckie, reached out to me and we had a wonderful conversation on the phone. I could see how much this business meant to her and I reassured her that it wasn't the cafe itself, it was the service from the employees. Purchase a Dessert Turtle and a Dark Roast coffee of the day. Flavor of the coffees were good. Nice selection of roasted whole beans coffee that can be purchased for future enjoyment. The decor is a country western theme which it's a delight to explore the surrounding decor. They offer an array of breakfast and lunch items to enjoy. As a perk, you can order your coffee and other items online and pickup inside the store. So for the on the go person this is a perk. The parking in the front of the store is limited and shared with other businesses. Lighting is dim and the store is quite dark. Maybe because of the cloud cover today. This place has received several reviews and we'd thought we'd give it a try. The staff is very knowledgeable based on your pallet and preferred beverages. Today is Thirsty Thursday which allows you to order an XL for the cost of a L beverage. Tip: check in in Yelp first to receive your free freshly baked cookie.
