Thursday is surf and turf! Best rib steak ever!

Great food and people. Strong drinks and even karaoke some Saturdays! Im heading there for breakfast. I'll post some pictures!

I normally don't give a review unless I have been to a place multiple times, but this place was great! Super friendly staff that were super accommodating to our party of 5 (with 3 kids) - even when we spilled a whole cup of chocolate milk on the floor! Food was super delicious! We are thinking they may even make their own butter and chips? Everything tastes like it was made in- house. Definitely try those sweet cream pancakes too!

We absolutely loved their breakfast!! Friendly staff! I had the pancakes with sausage links, which the links were the best I had ever had. My husband had the biscuit and gravy which he loved as well. You can tell the biscuits were homemade. Loved all the historic art and decor they had of their town. If you are staying at Spirit Mountain or passing through, definitely stop by and support small communities. We will definitely stop by again on our way to the beach!

Finally, dining in at Coyote Joe's, pretty laid back and looks safe enough.

Well for our first visit to a restaurant in three months, we ended up here kind of in the middle of no where, which is just perfect! A great town to stop into as everyone was friendly, like really happy to see people again... Coyote Joe's had great spaced out seating, sanitizer everywhere, and they were busy with to go orders... we felt very safe. This was not a GF or vegan kind of place, if you're on a special diet maybe not your kind of place either. Since I had been so tired of cooking, I went with a gut bomb and tots... The Location: A little Twin Peaks but but very nice, kept looking for the log lady. The Menu: how do you pull that off, huge menu. The Food: About what you would expect, great simple cooking. The Staff: Sooooo NICE! everyone was working their tails off. We will return, hope this place never changes, I know they have a lot of stories to tell.

Great small town diner. Good prices and portions. Been around awhile and will keep going as long as they are there.

First timer here and I went with the NY Steak & Shrimp for my entree. Surprisingly, the oven roasted potatoes were absolutely killer here. Served with a generous amount, they were almost the star of the plate, coming in a close second to the shrimp which was nice and lightly fried and had a good crisp on the initial bite followed by a mouthful of juicy jumbo shrimp. The steak was decent and could of been better, it was a bit on the tougher side as I asked for it to be medium--well and it sure was more on the "well" side. So next time I'll try it cooked medium. Still good and I finished my entire plate. Can't forget the asparagus which was prepared perfectly, not too soggy, but not too crunchy/raw either. Enjoyed my first experience at Summit View Lounge. Will give the Italian next door neighbor restaurant a try next time. P.S. -- Salads are huge here and make a great shareable appetizer. The clam chowder is awesome and worth all of the extra $4.

However, it was terrible this time. $15.95 for a large ( NOT...totally laughable they call it a large) spicy pork nachos. Chips, what there was of them, were all on the bottom. So, super soggy. Tons of Luke warm and cold toppings that were microwaved (Come on, we can totally tell). The taste was terrible, not even just bad, but terrible!! We will eat there again if we go back, because it really is the first time for us that it was bad. But, they only get one more shot. Lol

Super good ice cream in tubs from Umpqua. Was walking back to the room and had to stop for some dessert and am I glad I made that choice because the Vanilla Bean is some of the best I've had. High quality cream here and I love how thick the Vanilla Bean was. This is how real ice cream should be enjoyed. Definitely noting this one because it's going to be enjoyed all seasons of the year whenever I return to visit SMC. The Mountain Blackberry Revel was good too, but not as good as the Vanilla Bean. You can skip the Caramel Macadamia Crunch, the name sounds cool and appealing, but it's not that special. I'm glad she scooped that one first and put it at the bottom so I can enjoy the Vanilla Bean up top before it all melts. Sips -- I'm a fan and I will be back.

We ended up eating there twice and both meals were good for different reasons. The chowder was actually one of the best we had during this trip. The turkey bacon club was so fresh and good. This time we chose to grab lunch while we were there and headed into the Sports Bar to catch the Black Friday NFL game. They definitely don't have a shortage of TVs, plenty of screens and a wide variety of games on. The service was wonderful. Our server was super sweet, attentive, and checked in regularly. I ordered the Chicken BLT and asked to swap the bacon jam for regular bacon, since I find bacon jam a bit too sweet. They accommodated the request with no additional charge. The sandwich was delicious, the chicken was fried perfectly, juicy, tender, and flavorful. I normally don't love coated fries, but these were hot, crisp, and cooked just right. My dining partner had the Monte Cristo. Decadent on a croissant, but he said it was absolutely delicious. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. We would definitely dine here again
