But to stay on topic and not go on and on about how exciting it would be for me to go to a UFO festival I will delve onto the beers I had from this brewery. I had two beers from ForeLand and both were very solid! Probably my favorite was the Glass Volcano, a dark lager with a great roasty, coffee flavor with a bit of sweetness. It then has a clean finish which contributed to a very enjoyable lager overall. Mesmeric Gaze was the next beer Steve and I enjoyed. It was an IPA with very fine flavors of pine and citrus generating a slightly tropical reminder. One of the better IPA'S I have had in the last month or so. Definitely a rewarding beer experience with this brewery and a worthy stop to make regardless if UFO's are involved or not.

It is understandable that they have garnered 4 stars overall, as it was good...for what it is. The flow of customers kept coming in thru out our entire visit. My vegetarian wife had the Hummus and Flatbread which she enjoyed thoroughly. I had the Patty Melt. It was good...but it was not a traditional Patty Melt. Served on sourdough versus rye, and it had dijonaise? It needed more. The grilled sourdough needed more grilling as well. The accompanying fresh cut french fries were great. You order at the counter, and host, Ryan was quite friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had the recommended Boneyard RPM and she loved it. I stuck to Sierra Mist after the wine. We did see someone giving "pleasure" to someone else outside in a car. Not a great sight while eating. Good experience, not great...but I will still come back.

This beer is a Kolsch and I always like this beer style due to it's lightness and crispness. That is no exception here with it's clean and floral flavor profile this is an excellent kolsch that I highly recommend if you like this beer style. Another favorite which I have had on more than one occasion is their Czech style Pilsner. Again, a very light beer in which I admire the clean, smooth, hoppy and dry flavors. I am a big fan of pilsners in general and this one is definitely my top favorite out of what I have tried from Heater Allen so far. I have had this beer quite a few times and always come back to it I like it that much. Another impressive beer that isn't any slouch is the Lenzbock, a Maibock style beer. This beer is a malty one but remains light and floral and has a bit of an essence of Spring to it. And then finally I have had the Marzen Lager which I highly recommend as well. Again a malty beer with sweet and subtle notes. I rate this beer very high on Untappd simply because it's a wonderful one to experience and drink. They also do collaboration beers. There was a great beer I had from Wayfinder Brewing, the Teriffica Italian Style Horror Pils, this beer is an Italian style pilsner which I highly recommend (at this point I just highly recommend everything) and loved immediately with it's dry, hoppy, bitter and honey flavor highlights I was instantly in love with it. Of course my instant fondness for it also had to do with their reference to Italian horror films which I am a big fan of with the concept and art for this beer. Heater Allen is a master of light beers and if you get a chance I highly suggest giving their beers a try. My beer drinking experiences with this brewery never, ever disappoint.

The nice person behind the counter did not know what Dom Perignon or Bollinger's champagne was and tried to steer me to Don Pedro wine or something like that. Not sure what she was offering but it wasn't what I needed. My main problem with the store isn't the champagne issue, it's disregarding peoples questions. Why have the form if you won't use it ? I won't be bothering these folks again. No great loss for them as we're not big drinkers but I was hoping for so much more from another liquor store in Mac.
