Good experience yesterday at Two Dogs Taphouse. We had been to the McMinnville Wine and Food Classic and wanted a pub-style dining experience. This was it. It is understandable that they have garnered 4 stars overall, as it was good...for what it is. The flow of customers kept coming in thru out our entire visit. My vegetarian wife had the Hummus and Flatbread which she enjoyed thoroughly. I had the Patty Melt. It was good...but it was not a traditional Patty Melt. Served on sourdough versus rye, and it had dijonaise? It needed more. The grilled sourdough needed more grilling as well. The accompanying fresh cut french fries were great. You order at the counter, and host, Ryan was quite friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had the recommended Boneyard RPM and she loved it. I stuck to Sierra Mist after the wine. We did see someone giving "pleasure" to someone else outside in a car. Not a great sight while eating. Good experience, not great...but I will still come back. read more

This place is great!! I love the ambiance and all the different seating options. The staff is super friendly too. We got the jalapeno Mac and cheese and the pretzels. Oh my gosh, the beer cheese for the pretzels is to die!! I've never had such good beer cheese in my life. The pretzels are perfectly chewy and salty too. The Mac and cheese was great, could've been spicier for us though. My only critique is that all of the serving trays and bowls are this thin metal which makes the food cool down really fast. This is our second visit here and again, they did not disappoint. Two Dogs Taphouse is a big, loud, unassuming spot. They offer good food at reasonable prices. Here you can watch your favorite sports team - while enjoying good eats. Order at the bar, grab a table and a friendly server will deliver your food. My fiance and I came in here for a date night and were pleasantly surprised. It is your typical taphouse with chill vibes and a couch to sit and eat on if you feel like that. We ordered the steak mac and cheese, southwest chicken salad and the double tapped fries. Everything was really tasty. The mac and cheese was so cheesy and came with a great amount of steak. Pasta was cooked really well and had just the right amount of bite. The salad was full of chicken and black bean salsa with tortilla strips for the perfect amount of crunch. One of the best tap lists anywhere! Too many places are IPA focused these days - how many Hazy IPA's do you really need?!? Two Dogs has a spectacular array of styles among their 40 taps, including 4 ciders and even Coors Light (everybody has that ONE friend...). Most of the taps are from Oregon, and it's quite the showcase! I love that their current tap lists is actually on their website so you can start "planning" before you arrive! Unfortunately, we arrived too close to closing time to really dig into the list, so we will just have to come back! read more

We stumbled upon this taphouse after showing homes in the area. Great food and tap selection accompanied by friendly service. We started with the smoked pulled pork nachos with beer cheese. These were very tasty. Next time I would order the full size and another appetizer. The chips were make in house and the crunch was perfect and held up to the toppings! Hubby ordered the Buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing and a hot habanero sauce. He really enjoyed the crunch and the sauces. I ordered the Cuban panini sando with a side salad. The sandwich was a bit light with the meat which was smoked pulled pork and ham. It was good but I wished for more meat and more mustard/mayo, it was a tad dry. Extensive beer offerings. We tried the chicken wings, carnitas tacos and falafel wrap. The wings are huge, you get the entire drum and wing. You can get a dry rub, wet sauce or combo. We went with the garlic parmesan dry rub with a blue cheese dipping sauce. Will try a different rub next time. The tacos were solid, and the falafel was super crispy outside, moist inside. read more

Came for the pork belly tacos and beer selection, was not disappointed. After a trip to Wings and Waves, we needed lunch. Quick search for lunch on Yelp, showed Two Dogs Taphouse, and the food looked good! Combined with seeing a cream ale sitting next to Guinness on the tap list (usually means it's nitro poured) and I was sold! It's a sit yourself, order at the bar ordeal. But on Friday at around 1pm it wasn't too busy and I was able to sit my small family of 3 with zero issues and quickly order food. Wife got the fish tacos, which she inhaled. She did say they were a bit jalapeño heavy though. I got the pork belly tacos, which are Korean inspired. Very yummy. Kiddo got the kids cheeseburger, which was served plain just the way he likes it. Side of fries with fry sauce was also very crispy and yummy. Wife and I did get an order of nitro cream ale, which I drank way too quickly. Cream ales over nitro are my absolute favorite! This is one of two places I know of that serve cream ale on nitro. I'll be back just for that alone. We also shared a Ruzzo draft that reminded me of Smirnoff Ice but way better. Like a spiked lemon lime. The beer list was full of many delicious options. One review said it has the best beer selection in McMinnville, they might be right. We have been to Two Dogs Tap house a few times now. It has always been a positive experience. I truly don't mind going to the counter to order because it cuts out a step in the process and gets our food out quicker. The food has been wonderful. The burgers were flavorful ( which you can't get everywhere) and the fries were so satisfying. Our experience was as unsavory as the food. I wanted to love this place. It's such a great atmosphere with its huge windows, brick walls, and industrial look. I ordered the wings which, to their credit, was the full wing! Hubby ordered the fish and chips. The food was lacking in flavor. Like they ran out of salt and pepper or any spice for that matter. The food was ok, tots are easy so they were good. wrap was just ok, my friend didn't like her lunch, some sandwich but bread was stale and not good. I guess they are more interested in the bar part even though nobody was there then either. Maybe they were super busy in the kitchen giving it a good clean or maybe on a smoke break? I wanted to like the Beer Cheese Nachos. It contains everything I love. And at $15 it had better be irresistible. However, It was not hot when it came out and worse, it lacked any kind of flavor. The beer cheese sauce was pretty bland and the flossy pulled pork was dry and flavorless too. The dish was topped with black beans and sour cream which would ordinarily contrast with the strong flavor of the nacho cheese and the pico de gallo but none of that happened with this dish. Two Dogs Taphouse Brewery. I was first mesmerized by the atmosphere of their original location. Beautiful. The food was amazing. The beer cold, crisp, full flavor and bountiful. There was so much room that it was like having a large family reunion, with a peaceful twist with folks that you had never met but yet each time you returned you were greeted the same way each and every time and it never got tiring. We loved it. Two Dogs had to move locations, and we waited quite a while and went and tried it. The feeling for me was not the same as far as atmosphere goes. It's nowhere near the same size, and I understand that they are still rebuilding, so there is some changes to be expected. The menu at this time has only a select few choices. So I don't know what happened when they got bought out and moved, but some of their secret sauce ran out. I went here twice in 2 months and the food was sub par. The first time I didn't know if they had a bad night or something, No, it's just bad... Firstly, the Fish & Chips were meh, their cod so what can ya expect. The Tatar sauce ok and they gave enough to barely satisfy a toddler on a diet. Second, all of the burgers I have gotten, were a double patty grease bomb. On the double dog, the lettuce was spinach greens, which doesn't hold together. The tomato, and other additions, were frankly very warm, and like, not fresh. The grease soaked in to the bun and it almost made me think twice about my life. Same with the drunken pig, with even more grease, and the only ok thing was the bacon. Still, both were SUPER dense. Third, the fry sauce was gritty and wired. Never have I ever seen fry sauce look like that. The fry's were actually not bad! A little greasy, but nothing crazy. I would go there and have a side of fries and have a good time. BTW I had a LITERAL HAIR in my tray of fry's. Not mine cuz' I don't have much hair at all, just to put it out there... The new building is ok, nothing special and the service was normal. I would give it 1 star but they had burger picks and good fry's, so 2 stars, maybe 2 and a half? If they had a killer burger and I would be coming in every week. Disappointing because I loved two dogs before they moved to Evans street. Overall, not good. read more

We ordered burgers and fries, and an adult Macn cheese to share amongst our kids. We loved the fries, they give you a mound! The burger was tall with a double patty and was good! Very good food but poorly named. I thought by the name they would be pet friendly but no.... The sad thing is they have a room to share your pet pictures, just don't bring the pet. The beer and food however were great and worth 4 stars. One other irritating thing, you have to wait in line to order, remember your table number, and they then default the tip to some crazy amount.
