Chips, salsa and bean dip. Salsa could be a little more chunky and bean dip a little less runny but it was still good nonetheless.

Second time having this place. Ment to write a review after the first time but totally forgot I had it saved in my drafts. Nonetheless here's my review. I came from hillsboro, so it was a bit of a drive but totally wroth it. My grandfather was hungry so I decided to take him out. Everything tastes fresh and the service is outstanding. Both times I had three cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Chips were a bit on the cold side but the fresh salsa makes up for it. Salsa is spicy but not too spicy. But this is a Mexican restaurant so if spicy food isn't your thing maybe you should find another place to eat at. Both times it wasn't that busy. First time there was two other families in there and last night we were the only ones. I do hope they stick around. Prices are reasonable and the inside is very clean and open.

Super nice staff!!! New place and you can tell. Got orders wrong and forgot my daughters order but made it right and didn't charge us for her quesadillas. I ordered the Tuesday dinner special two pork tacos, rice and beans and a Corona. Was ok but was $12.00. That seems a bit much for a special to me. The portions are small for the $$$! My mom in law couldn't get eat her taco shell that her taco salad came in, she said it was rancid oil. Thought she was overreacting, so I took a bite and immediately spit it out ! I hope this visit was a fluke cause the staff was so nice!

So we rolled into town on a day hotter than hot and we needed a quick bite to eat. I'd intended to grab some provisions at the local market, but then I saw Margarita's and remembering my husband's request for a bean and cheese burrito - I made a detour. They've opened recently so don't be put off by the lack of hustle and bustle. In fact, I highly recommend eating at the bar where hopefully one of the town locals is there too to tell you loads of amazing stories of Carlton. I hung out for about an hour so my food was cold of my own doing, but that's because their hospitality is so awesome. Keep smiling Marcella!

They meals were ok. I think that they could potentially be better both in good, ambiance, and service. I might come again.

We walked through town looking at a few tasting rooms. Nothing really jumped out to us. Then Bamn!!! When we seen this place from across the street. It all changed our wine tasting plans. Let's go have a drink!!! It was a great decision. The outdoor area was set up very nice and welcoming. There's a lot of attention to detail in all the decorations. Not sure if the lady was the manager or owner that helped us. But her friendly service was top notch!!!! With us visiting from out of town. It made me and the lady feel like regulars. She gave us a recommendation on the Margarita. I'm more of a Bourbon lover. So I ordered the Traditional Manhattan and my lady ordered the requested margarita. Wow!!! Both our drinks were tasty and awesome. Hey bartenders great pour on the drinks!!!! Cheers!!!

This is such a great pop up spot, they all TRULY know the art of mixology and come up with a great variety of unique cocktails. Definitely worth stopping if you are in the area wine tasting or traveling.

Hayward is nicely remodeled and decorated. There are bar seats, booth seats, table seat and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is surrounded by lush green plants. There is a tasting menu for $98, but the items are undisclosed, left to the chef to chose so I didn't go with this and ordered a la carte. The bread is served warm, soft, oiled, so good. So good that I ordered a 2nd piece. Probably best bread I've had. The food is good. I wish they had more red meat options though. The cod is probably the best entree item from a consensus. They also have the cutest match boxes. Portions are on the small end. Street parking.

Service was outstanding- warm friendly greeting, they offered to take our coats, we were seated right away, great suggestions for drinks, and food was delivered in a cadence that didn't feel rushed, but didn't feel like you were waiting long either. We enjoyed some dishes more than others, but overall the food was really delicious. The stand-outs were some of the dishes we didn't catch the names, but the cod was well liked and so was the steak. Parking was a little hard due to the Christmas lights at the park across the street. This was almost an hour drive for us and it was worth it. We would recommend and look forward to going back to Hayward.

The birdhouses in particular were absolutely lovely and added so much charm to the space. The tasting room takes walk-ins, and were greeted as soon as we entered and told we could sit anywhere. Our sommelier was absolutely delightful-- there were two women working and both were so, so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We tasted one white (a Chardonnay that I actually quite liked despite it being my least favorite white wine) and a number of reds. When they poured the various pinot noirs, they brought a second glass and had us do a side-by-side comparison. I absolutely LOVE it when tasting rooms make the effort to do this-- it really brings us the differences in the wines so you can tell what you're trying. We also tasted a red blend and a syrah. The syrah was my favorite. In the midst of us tasting the reds, the women pouring for us brought out a couple of chocolate hearts, which was really the cherry (or the chocolate) on top. It's been hard in the past couple of years to find people that offer such a wonderful experience at this price point ($20)-- especially if you're a younger person. I can truly say that this was wonderful, and we will absolutely return next time we are in the Valley.
