Chicken mole enchiladas

Needed to get a snack on the way to an event, so we got a duo of one beef enchilada and one chili relleno ($8.99) and a side of guac ($2.99). It was so good that we decided to stay get the chicken mole enchiladas (13.95), instead of eating what probably would have been sad crockpot tacos where we were going. If you're driving this way it's the first real food available for miles and is both delicious and reasonably priced. I wish I could include the smell with the photo... wow.

We drove over from Clermont Florida. Smallish parking lot or you can risk your life and park along US 50. Lots of locals there. The food and service was very good. No complaints there. They must just have a wine and beer license as you could not order a Margarita. You could get a Margarita wine slushy. I took a pass on that. Otherwise all was fine. Prices were very reasonable.

5 stars for attentive, efficient and amazing service, great delivery of the food and presentation, and rapid and efficient service. OH! And price is great for portion size and fresh quality! Found this place on Yelp, of course, and noticed that the price was good, menu options delicious and the photos were great so why not?! As soon as we walked in we were immediately seated. As soon as we sat we were already brought salsa and chips, which I noticed a separate employee does that part AND he was on top of it, which I love. Our waiter came by soon after and he was very efficient and friendly. I noticed all the employees were very attentive and efficient, which I LOVE! The food - OMG - great portion and so worth the price! I already wanted a chimichanga and that was the special for today (Monday). $8 for a great quality chicken chimichanga with fresh Guacamole, retried beans and Mexican rice?! *drops mic* the chicken was very flavorful. It's as if the the shredded chicken was sautéed for 24 hours lol. The food was awesome. The hubby order a super coyote burrito smothered in white sauce - phenomenal. I will say that the decor of the place was quite odd but I was not going to let that reflect in the star rating.

Shrimp fajitas. Look at all the shrimp!

Love this casual Mexican spot. It's a family favorite, so we'll be back. I've always loved the margaritas here, but I was shocked to learn they don't t have a liquor license. So it is made from wine. May seem impossible, but they are so tasty, with no buzz or hangover afterwards. We tried traditional, mango and strawberry versions at our table. Our first batch of chips were good. Made in house with a delicious, fresh salsa. I prefer the queso with a hint of jalapeño. I nearly licked the bowl. None left. Unfortunately, our second basket of chips was bad, tasting like they were cooked in old oil. My in laws enjoyed shrimp fajitas which came heaping with a dozen shrimp, roasted green & red peppers and onions. And your choice of corn or flour tortillas. It is so much food that they bring half home for a second meal. I enjoyed the carnitas which came with onions and fajita toppings, plus choice of tortillas. I thought it was tasty. But they are on the drier side vs marinated carnitas. I supplemented with the queso for the chips. My husband had a chicken burrito filled with shredded chicken and beans with red sauce. Of course, all the meals came with Mexican rice and retried beans which my companions loved. Place is fairly large. Service was great despite being shorthanded. This a is go to place.

Good food and food service in a small town. We've done a few times and have never had a bad experience with service or food.

I seem to be addicted to Tacos, not just any taco and not only tacos from this little roadside…read moreoasis but more of the style of taco - the "street taco" sometimes called antojitos or "little cravings" literally. I've eaten a thousand of these and although all aren't created equal most are constructed in a similar manner and this little wagon does it as good as any. Corn tortillas (freshly prepared ones are always best but most are commercially processed and packaged so unless you an aficionado of tortillas the store bought ones are fine). I chose the steak and chicken (asada and pollo) added raw onion and cilantro, a squeeze of fresh lime and some flavorful hot sauce - these three tacos seemed to evaporate in mere seconds, they are small but they also are very reasonable priced. I'm definitely reevaluating my lunch choices before my next visit here. I think a sampling is in order for my return trip (how did I not order beef cheeks). No matter which ones you choose order enough and don't forget too tip. If you eat these in... One Bite - you've entered a contest. Two Bites - it's been a few days since you've eaten. Three Bites - you skipped breakfast. Four Bites - you feel a little rushed. Five Bites - you put just enough hot sauce on it. The staff here was very friendly and professional, the food was delivered hot and fresh and the presentation was beautiful...

We've been coming to San Jose's for a while now... I must honestly say, it is our FAVORITE Mexican…read morerestaurant around!! I looked at some of these other Karen-style reviews on here... they always have to find something wrong. The food is absolutely incredible here, it is usually brought out to you super fast, the drinks and ingredients are always super fresh, the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect at a Mexican-styled restaurant, and they offer dessert! I mean... what else could you possibly want?! Our server was Maria... top-notch and very attentive. The whole place feels like a family atmosphere and my family and I have never been treated poorly here. I ordered the Horchata drink... and ya, it's delicious. If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant, this place is the place to go!!

We've been coming here for almost 9 years. A few things you always need to try here. The California…read moreburrito Junior, the fajitas, the tacos (little greasy), the fried shredded chicken chimichanga with extra queso cheese on it (my personal fav) because it has so much chicken in it so you need that balance, the sangria in fact, just buy the whole gallon jug and you can take it home. Their salsa is so good. I do get a side of the hot one and mix a little into it, not a ton because you cannot eat that hot one alone. Service is always good. They are on the pricier side. However, I think that's because they do have more quality ingredients than some places. Super busy location. Take out is great!
