Great golf course, amazing views, gets a bit technical. Greens are well kept, super fast when putting. Can't beat the views and layout here, super fun 18 hole course. Staff was so great. Amazing customer service. They have a shop you can order food and drinks, go to the restroom if needed. The food is actually really good! Golf course was in good shape. $59 for a round with a cart after 2pm is a great deal. But if you have a pace of play issue, definitely don't let anyone in the pro shop know because it most certainly ruins their day to have to do their job. read more

Friendliest staff of any course in the Chicago area. I loved the course and would easily give it the best value of any course I've played. Condition was excellent throughout. The only knock is no towels on the ball washers and no cart GPS. Everywhere you look is visually appealing. It's a short, open course so you'll hear a fair amount of "FORE" but that also helps to not lose your ball. Pace could've been a faster but never felt terribly backed up, and 4.5 hours to finish is reasonable. read more

My buddy lives in Indiana and wanted to come out here to golf, so we decided on this course. Absolutely beautiful course. Really nice people working there too. Had to get in there before the weather gets bad and have to hold off for another year. If you love golf and want a nice course to play 18 with your buddies, this is it. read more

Very impressed at the course for $42 riding! Conditions were super nice, greens were fast with aeration a couple days prior. Staff was nice and friendly too. Not the bougiest with cart paths mot throughout every hole but would definitely recommend. read more

Coyote Run is our go-to weekly course. It's always in good shape. Prices are very fair. Food and beer at Wiley's is a great way to finish the round. We've been paired up with others and it's always been a great experience. Unlike a lot of public courses the greens, bunkers, and tee boxes are all in good shape and well taken care of. Challenging, but not ridiculously long. Definitely a place to play. read more

I have played this course once before but now I remember why I don't like this course. Greens are close to Tee boxes. very rude players and no Ranger. There was a big argument by a hole and starter didn't even care. People drive right to green talking loud when you are on tee box. Very rude golfers. read more

When something is so perfect what can you say? I will start with a little background...my sister and I were looking to host a 40th anniversary party for my parents. We wanted it to be casual but classy with great memories for them for years to come. They have many close friends and relatives, so we settled on a round number of 100 people. We wanted all of this for less than 5k. Go figure...;) Yes, that's where the problem began. Where can you find a casual but classy venue for less than $30 per Person? We called and we called different venues...either they were cheap and cheesy or a little too expensive with a little too much grandeur for my "down to earth dad." We did find several places that were in our price range but they did not have the ambiance necessary for our classy mom. As you can see here my parents are like yin and yang we must find a balance between the two. I am driving down the street one day and what do I see? Coyote Run Golf course. I convince myself that it is ok to stop in and who do I meet? I meet Shari...a Godsend of a woman. A woman you feel will take care of your every wish if it is in her power. She tells me her vision for the anniversary party. I am ecstatic about her and her vision for our event and then she tells me how much it costs! The price is so amazing I want her to put it in writing because it is just that unbelievable! Shari and her staff are second to none! She will stop at nothing to make your event wonderful...she is also honest...she will not over promise and underperform. Our event went superbly. Thank God for Coyote Run and Shari! That might sound a little extreme but when you are trying to plan an event in less than 30 days and someone EXCEEDS your expectations UNDER BUDGET...I think that deserves an Amen! ;) read more

Came here on a Friday night to try their all you can eat fish fry. The place is not too big and the staff is friendly. Make sure you come early because there is only about 10 tables that seat about 4 people each. We ordered the all you can eat fish fry. It was nice that the fish fry came with your choice of regular or sweet potato fries (the sweet potato was so good-- if only you could order more of that also!) The coleslaw was good and fresh. I tried both the polenta and beer battered fish. The polenta is a little drier and not as greasy. For me, I prefer the beer battered fish fry. It was very good and the service was decent. There were times where we were waiting to order more fish and get refills, but the wait was not too bad. Will be back to eat some more! read more

Played with Greg R last weekend at his recommendation and found Coyote Run to be a pretty nice and well-maintained little course. If I were a better golfer, I probably wouldn't have been thrilled: just under 6500 yards from the tips and very generous fairways for the most part. Find yourself in the thick stuff, however, and this advantage quickly evaporates. Spent more time than I'd like to admit searching for my ball in the tall fescue and other shrubbery. I'm also not sure if this is a daily issue, but the wind was really up yesterday...the friendly pro shop attendant told me to think of it as an average day on the links were we in Scotland. At $34 to ride from Golf Now, this is one of the best value options I've played in Chicago. Did get a little backed up, even in late afternoon on a Sunday (chalk this one up to Greg's well-known Dress Code Theory). All in all though, happy with the experience and I'd expect we'll be back later this season. read more

Good golf course. Pace of play was fine for the time of day, and condition of the course was superb. Lush tees, fairways, rough, and greens...greenest course I have played all summer. Some very demanding rough greets wayward shots. Condition of course was great. A quick note regarding the course...18 holes are packed right in there. On many holes, errant tee shots can find their way to another hole's putting surface or fairway. Parallel holes at 2 and 3 along with 15 and 16 come to mind but there are others. Plenty of 'fore!' hollering out there. Last, and this echoes a previous review...dress code is a little lax. Heard one gent remark to another in the pro shop that he 'opted for long slacks' since it was somewhat unseasonably cool. Most would have called these slacks by a different name....jeans. Whatever. Nice golf course in an area where after golf your options are pawn gold, buy booze, cash a check, or snag a slider. Will play it again. read more

Played a round today at Coyote Run. I was told by the locals that the course was totally renovated a few years back and is now operated by the local parks department. Service is great - from the pro shop check in to the starter. Everyone was nice and friendly. The course looks great, just not overly inspiring. You kinda get what you get out in front of you. Fairways are well maintained and greens are the best I have played this season. I give 4 stars to the course! Only 2 complaints - 1 golf related...there are a few par 4s that are a bit quirky that require you to hit a hybrid off the tee to stay safe. I don't mind one or two short par 4s with fairways that run out on funky dog leg holes but it felt that this course had 3-4 holes that you do not use you driver (excluding par 3s of course). I suspect it is due to the space from the original 'old' course. 2 - I would have given this course 4 stars and I WILL be back, but like other area tracks, this course did not seem to have much of a dress code. Saw a lot of people out in jeans, t-shirts and running shoes. My personal pet peeve. I think a course really discounts itself with not having a standard golf attire requirement. all-in-all a very well maintained course that was enjoyable to play. Just class up the place a bit and you will be a 4 star track. read more

Maybe it's the economy and less rounds are being played, but the course is in decent condition...nowhere near the hacked up shape it was in last summer. Also they have had the driving range in the grass for some time now, so no complaints. Also note that there is a nice short 3 hole learning course that is only $5...kids are free. read more

Always one our fav golf spots for our smaller group. Just played a few weeks ago even with virus still present. All was run so well. I normally deal with Tom and he always helps us get a time and day. Course was in great shape and very lush even though it has been so dry. All staff was so nice. I wish there was a "0 stars" rating! Though my husband has been to this course before I personally have not. We visited the course for my son's High School golf match and were pleased until I was confronted and asked if I had paid for renting a golf cart, which I had. The manner in which I was approached was disrespectful, rude, and racist. I was automatically labeled as a thief and treated as such. Other patrons were not asked to return their carts. I observed that closely. However, I was ordered to do so and followed all the way back to the clubhouse. My son's match continued and I was forced to miss the end because my health wouldn't allow me to walk back to the team. My daughter finished the match waiting for him in the car. I will never suggest anyone go to this course that is of color and I definitely have no plans of ever returning again. I'm usually one of the last people to label something as a race issue but the way the older Caucasian man treated me was inexcusable. I decided that the pen is mightier than the sword. I pray my son is never forced to golf here with his team in the future. read more

Coyote Run is a nice little course when compared to what else the public golf market has to offer in the South Suburbs. The course is nicely designed with tough little greens and some well placed obstacles. I don't think the distance is too demanding, unless it is a windy day, and normally the tees are set up at a reasonable distance from each other so you don't have a Par 3 playing 100 yards and 185 yards respectively. If you play from Blue, your focus is on approach shots because the fairways will be a little more open; if you play from White, you're going to choose your first club wisely and try to attack the pins with the wedges. Fun either way! I try to play this course each season at least a couple of times and every time it is in good shape and is crowded. I will say that the pace is usually pretty good and this is the only public course to memory that actually has rangers out on the course managing pace and helping find balls on a couple of tricky tee shots. If you can find a deal online and can make the drive out South, I highly suggest you give this place a try. read more
