When it did arrive, there were multiple problems for a party of five. They gave the excuse that there is a problem getting information from the new computer system to the kitchen. I would not recommend this place until they get there systems corrected. Right now there are problems with both food, quality, service, and management.

One star, only because zero isn't an option…read more My family and I were attending a funeral luncheon here and things were going smoothly enough. The food was pretty good, the service was polite, and we were beginning to wrap up when everything just went downhill. There were some kids playing with the piano in the lobby prior to us walking out. The owner appeared to remove the kids from playing the piano (which I was told later that this was done as to not disturb our party). Our kids wanted to play with the piano a bit and we let them hammer out a couple keys before calling it a day and deciding to head out to the car. As we were walking out, we were whistled at across the parking lot (yes, whistled at) by their Director of Operations, Erin Czajka, who then began shouting accusations that we had scratched their piano in the lobby. At first, I genuinely didn't think she could be talking to us -- it was that absurd. My kids had played a few keys before I closed it and decided we should leave. But no, she doubled down, yelling about our children as well, in front of the rest of our family and guests. Confused and more than a little shocked, we went back inside to ask what was going on. Erin, now fully committed to her meltdown, claimed she had video of me damaging the piano. She even pointed to a scratch (which was there, sure), and insisted she had proof -- all while getting louder and more aggressive. Spoiler alert: there was no video. That's when the owner of the country club came out and said: "Wrong family." Yep. All that drama, public yelling, and humiliation -- directed at the wrong people the whole time. And how did Erin respond after realizing her mistake? With a sincere apology? A shred of accountability? Not even close. She stormed off and slammed her office door. To the owner's credit, he tried to smooth things over and even offered a free dinner. But when I asked if we could at least get an apology from Erin, he said -- and I quote -- "You're not getting one." He apologized, but he wasn't the one making a scene. So to recap: our family got screamed at, falsely accused, embarrassed in front of other guests during a funeral, and then told we didn't even deserve an apology for the trouble. The food was fine. The owner was polite. But the Director of Operations' behavior was completely unhinged, and frankly, unacceptable in any professional setting -- let alone one that prides itself on customer service. Avoid this place if you value basic respect and common decency. If she has the decency to reach out and apologize for her behavior, we'll totally be reasonable and look into updating the reviews (as the dinner and other employees were genuinely very decent). Yes. This terrible mistake deserves two 1 star reviews.

Let me preface this review stating I am 66 years old and grew up playing Wicker Park golf course as…read morea young adult. This course along with Scherwood was my home golf course while playing on the Highland High School Golf team in the late 70's. I stopped playing there years ago because of the politics, neglect and overall vision of the golf course. I live in Myrtle Beach S.C. and traveled to Highland for Mother's Day. So, today 05/11/26 my brother and I decided to play Wicker Park as a last send off to a course we embraced as adolescences. I work at TPC golf course in Myrtle Beach and know a little about golf course maintenance. First tee, tee box shaggy and half cut. Tee markers spaced out more than the 6 step requirement. Fairways a total shit show. Lost or hard to find balls in the fairway. All fairways were unacceptable in terms of cutting length. Areas on golf course were totally neglected. Totally disappointing in overall appearance and playability. Wicker Park used to be the golden standard you measured your golf ability to.

I do NOT suggest golfing at the Wicker Memorial Park Golf Course. Came in with some friends this…read moremorning and were each charged $48, but quickly found that this course is NOT worth the money. The course layout was very simple and grounds were in poor condition. They have a serious issue with goose feces laying all over their tee boxes, fairways, and greens (see pictures below). It was so bad that you had to consciously watch your step and the ball rolled in it after nearly every shot. You couldn't even swing a club in certain places without dragging it in the droppings, resulting in several instances where the ball had to be moved to a relatively clean location. The grass was so poorly cut that it was difficult to differentiate between the fairway and the rough on several holes, resulting in poor hitting conditions. There were also no ball washing stations available. Almost every hole was a straight shot from the tee box to the pin. There was very little variety or creativity in the design. In addition to all the problems we experienced with the course itself, we were STILL charged the high $48 per person rate in spite of us also all being junior golfers and there weren't many people out on the course. However, the board in the shop that displayed prices stated that juniors were charged $16 per player Monday-Friday. Higher rates on weekends are standard and understandable, but the difference in $32 from weekday to weekend seems unreasonable given that we were juniors, it is early in the season where not many people are golfing yet, and the course is in poor condition and had no special design or amenities. Furthermore, the website for the course indicates that the cost is $45 per person during the SUMMER, yet we were charged more than that today in the SPRING. If this is what their price is in April for the type of experience they provide their guests, then their REAL prices over the summer that they apparently don't care to tell you on their website must be incomprehensible. We regularly play golf as a group and enjoy several courses in the area. However, today, we have played our first and LAST round at Wicker Park. Instead, we will take our money elsewhere and pay far lower and fairer rates for a far better experience.

The back nine needs a makeover or something and that's why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. This is a great course if you want to practice short irons and long shots. The back nine is pretty long and I did not play the full back nine because I was getting quite tired. The back nine is okay and needs to be taken cared of a little more. I would recommend this course because it is open to the public on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I would not travel long distances for this course only because the first nine is a Par 31. Overall nice course.

I've never played a country club that cut the grass but left the dead grass to line the fairway. I am so embarrassed that I invited a couple of my friends to play. There was not one grain of sand in any of the bunkers. Hitting out of the bunkers was like trying to hit the ball of the cart path. I've never called a course to complain about it after 4 holes until today. It's June 8th and nobody played on the course for months due to covid. It's absolutely no excuse for a country club to look this bad.

We decided to do the mini golf course which is 18 holes for eight dollars a person. The mini golf course was kept clean and it was fun. I would definitely go back.

It's an interesting setup... the arcade is divided between two buildings and one of the buildings (with the party room and bar) has a giant step up to get in. No idea what the bar looked like because it was behind a solid door. Bathrooms were clean. Prices were reasonable and there was a great deal of snacks available for purchase. (Redbull, Gatorade, and celcius were drink options). Smaller arcade but the games were fun for our 4 year old., good variety. Mini golf was a nice clean course with some unique holes that challenged us. The only thing that sucked was that at least two of the holes were completely flooded from earlier rain. Despite there not being a drain system there and all of the holes being full of water, we still enjoyed the course, and our son won a free game on the 18th hole. FYI- the mini golf course is also not wheelchair friendly.
