Missed our wine tasting today and decided to create the same wine experience in our own. Stopped in here and we had the most delicious port wine. Our server- Rafael was so knowledgeable about the 4 selections we tried.

Cute little place. We ate in the cellar which was really cool. I had cod with potatoes and spinach. Tasted really good, but there were too many bones in the cod for my liking. Others had steak inside a puff pastry and liked it. The verde wine I tried was very good as well. Skip the dessert, crème brûlée was not good. Waitress didn't speak English very well, but was very kind and tried to communicate the best she could with us, which we appreciated since it was our first full day in Portugal. Giving it 5 stars because overall is was a cool place with pretty good food and drink.

Another game time decision that panned out. Mostly. We walked in and the club-like beats on the ground floor had me a bit concerned but we were ushered downstairs to a quieter room (that filled up quickly with other diners). Our server was an absolute gem, she's earned one of the star ratings all for her service alone. On to the eats. We started with a couple of sausage apps, and you've gotta be careful here. These are mains-sized sausage apps - they're massive. The choriso sausage was thick and meaty to the bite. The alheira chicken sausage was a more acquired taste: thick casing with a mushier filling made for an interesting challenge to cut it into bite-sized pieces. The salt cod and clams entree was absolutely majestic: a massive serving of cod topped with small clams, and a large prawn on top, whilst surrounded by a crown of hand cut potato crisps. This was seriously great, but the after effect is that you definitely feel the salt after the meal. The bife loios main was also terrific: tender beef, thick brown sauce, pillowy mashed potatoes. All in all, it was better than good.

Stumbled upon this place walking around Porto and was really impressed with the food and service. Service was impeccable and they gent who served paired wines wonderfully with the dishes I chose from the sparkling to the port. Recommend the rump puff pastry which was amazing along with the red wine that was suggested. Perfectly cooked beef with some cheese and a crusty pastry that was wonderful. Chocolate mousse with the port was also perfectly paired. Definitely recommend for a casual dinner with great 80's miaic

Outdoor seating as well as indoors, full marks on ambience and service. They were eager to serve and genuinely excited to have us. We started with clams, oh my what a delight. Perfect blend of onions, oil, spices and clams, order bread to to dip in the sauce. The star of the night was francesinha...two types of ham and steak sandwich topped with melted cheese and served in a sauce. The layers, the textures and flavors went so well with each other, caught us by surprise. Sauce was tomato based with some spices, I couldn't put my fingers on the content, but maybe salt, pepper, cinnamon and something else. We also tried the pork cheeks with mashed potatoes, was also excellent but the star for me was the Francesinha something different

My family and I found this place and decided to check it out. The menu looks fantastic and we decided to go with the tasting menu which is a 6 course meal, with wine pairings, for 40 euros. The portions were quite large for a tasting menu - basically each plate was like half of the actual main size!! We were stuffed. The waiters were fantastic and super friendly and the chef popped out to see how we enjoyed our meals. Overall such a great place and would definitely recommend. The wines were spot on with each dish as well.

One of my best dinner experiences to date. We had a wonderful server Raquel who gave us a great red wine recommendation and had super positive energy and outlook on life. The food was delicious and the meat was tender. Cozy inside with a nice, slightly dim ambiance. Highly recommend!

    Couscous to share

My friend and I really liked it here. Service was good (maybe a little too fast sometimes, but we don't mind). Food was delicious. We took couscous to share. Was full of nice flavours. Both of us took risotto next, also very nice. But the desserts were the best. Fruit tartin with chocolate icecream for me and salted chocolate mousse for my friend. Accompanied with a good vintage Dows port wine. So tasteful! Would really reccomend.

Nice vibes...but beware…read more I have dined at Grigio during the multiple times I have visited Porto. I typically order the same thing and it usually ranges from decent to very good. However, I forgot that they are tricky. Upon being seated, they will bring a small basket of bread (three half slices of toast and a couple oversized thin crackers). They call this "Couvert". They will stand there with the bread and say something like "I have some bread for you" or "Would you like some bread?" They do not mention the charge of €3.50, but it is on the menu to order. But typically, you have yet to look at the menu to see it on there by the time it is presented to you. So who knows how many people have been fooled by this. Instead of letting people order a starter if they want, they are brought this bread by default. During my most recent visit, I noticed a couple who picked up a tip left on their table because they were unaware of the charge when they got their final bill. I will most likely never dine there again. But let this be a warning to those visiting Porto who decide to dine there. The pizza is good, but there is better in the area. My review is heavily weighted towards a 3 due to how they conduct their business.

The space is divided in three, with an indoor dining area, an enclosed terrace and a bar area. We sat in the enclosed terrace on a lovely night and our service was excellent. Some creative and well-crafted cocktails, classics, and an excellent wine menu are offered. The bartender was awesome and even made a special request Lemon Drop for my wife. The food was equally creative and delicious. As beautiful to look at as well as to consume! Foie Gras was unexpectedly presented and delivered on flavor. As a note, it paired perfectly with their Last Night Bourbon cocktail! Salmon Civiche was fresh and complex with layers of flavors. Wild Boar Lasagna was fantastic, and the Beetroot, Pistachio and Straciatella Ravioli was delicious but probably not for everyone. I loved it, but it was loaded with whole Pistachios, and raw beetroot slices. Odd texture, but still good. Portions were huge and no room for dessert. We would probably share a couple plates on a return visit, but will definitely be back!

We were able to snag a reservation without really knowing what to expect and we definitely were not anticipating this level of elegance! We ended up having a three hour dinner because everything felt so comfortable, peaceful, and lovely. I cannot recommend the sliders with quail eggs on top enough. My husband had the Iberian pork and really enjoyed it, and I absolutely loved my octopus. It was probably some of the best I have ever had. For dessert we had cheesecake and it was just as divine. If you want a dinner you won't forget anytime soon, definitely check out this place.

Definitely recommend making a reservation, I found it impressive that the hostess's reservation system was essentially a notebook and pen in this digital age. We did not see much of our waiter, since the restaurant was extremely busy and filled up with diners. Standouts: 1. Razor clams - I'll always get these if I see it on the menu. Cooked in this incredible garlic sauce. 2. Fish and seafood cataplana - delicious, tomato-forward seafood stew; I liked the version that we had the night before more which came with rice and was more filling. But this was basically a never-ending bowl of fish, clams, mussels, and shrimp. Add to that the fact that the restaurant like most in Porto did not have A/C and I emerged feeling like I had been sitting in a sauna. Skipped dessert; I had my eye on the Weeel! froyo truck parked outside. One more nit - the metal chairs are not comfortable at all for sitting a long time in.

Nothing was bad, and the prices were absolutely outstanding! The food wasn't typical portugese, which is a nice break from the constant portugese standard fare which is served throughout Porto and the country. It is instead this creative, french-ified, Portugese fare that will never bore you, but may not be absolutely stunning at every turn. However there will be moments when you are stunned. The service was unique and interesting - it was also personal, but you can't call it fancy or polished. I liked it better the way it was, but if you're going with your fancy grandma she might be disappointed. The wines are really good and well priced, though we might have had too much, which is always a problem I have in Portugal. They have great recommendations, or you can just buy bottles. My favorite dish was the over sized gnocchi - i've never seen anything like it in my life. The vegetable tartare with an egg yolk was also great. I liked it all, but some things didn't hit as hard as others. We might be back, we'll definitely recommend.
