I came here for a very Instagrammable coffee flight and was not disappointed. We ordered a simple corned beef sandwich and I got the iced coffees flight. So the flight was for different ice lattes paired with a pastry, which was a croissant a Blondie brownie, a macaroon and lastly.strawberry cake for $25. It took a while for the flight to be prepared because I think they're a little bit shortstaffed on a Monday morning, but they had a lot of comfortable places to sit and wait. The corn beef sandwich came out good and I mentioned it was simple because it's literally just corn beef with some white bread and some cheese, but it was actually pretty tasty for breakfast. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. I have to say the regular flavored lattes and the croissant weren't my favorite choices, but as I started moving down the paddleboard towards flavored lattes and the Blondi bar, it was pretty good. My favorite latte was the butter beer and my favorite pastry actually turned out to be the Blondie brownie bar. The inside has enough seating for about 50 people and it's really cutely decorated. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the mood for a coffee after a day of shopping in Ellicott city. read more

Looking at the reviews, I was super excited to try out this quaint cafe in Old Ellicott. The service was okay and the owner came out after to check in everything. There were 6 of us, and they were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. I was overall disappointed with the food. The waffle which I paid $5 for was super small and there were just chunks of sugar in it. I also ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. The spinach came out on the side of the eggs and was uncooked. The cheese was not melted, and the eggs were burnt (dark brown and dry). The waitress was kind enough to take the eggs back for the cheese and spinach to be mixed/melted. They were still burnt and flavorless. I picked around and ate what I could. I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. This place is iconic for some Ellicott City regulars. Based on location--right at the foot of the hill that starts any good tour of the shopping district--and the old time ambience from the stonework inside, I get it. That said, the price doesn't seem to justify the quality of the food and drink. It's decent... but not transcendent. So we usually go to Georgia Grace if we must do coffee and treats nearby. Or, better yet, we grab coffee from Cafe di Roma in Catonsville before heading to Ellicott City. read more

You walk in to a ton of baked goods, which look yummy. Everyone behind the counter was super kind and friendly. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The seating area has cute farmhouse and instagramable decor. We were the only people there on a Saturday early in the evening, but the tables were mostly sticky, there were no napkins, and the bathroom was out of toilet paper and paper towels. The food was presented beautifully, but only tasted okay. I didn't get to choose the dressing on my salad. It's literally a cozy cafe. We walked in and nobody was there to greet us so we waited about 5 minutes before someone actually came out. I ordered their toffee latte which is seasonal and hot chocolate for my daughter. My daughter loved the hot chocolate. However I didn't care for my latte. We also ordered their Cozy Chesapeake Bowl. Now the description and what was delivered was confusing a bit to me. Three Cheese Omelette, stuffed with Crabmeat and Cheddar Cheese. Served w/ Potatoes topped with Cozy sauce. I not only recommend Cozy Café, I shout from the rooftops to go here now! Whenever I have company or family coming into town, old Ellicott and Cozy Café specifically are my first thoughts. One time my partner was standing outside with one of our doggos and I was inside ordering us coffee/breakfast. The owner came up to me and told me that we can bring our dog in. I couldn't figure out how he even knew that they were my people or how he saw them because they weren't standing near windows or doors. But that just shows how much they pay attention to their customers. When I found out that they had coffee flights after I already had been going there for months, I about about lost it. You can choose iced or hot and they come with a variety of flavors. They even top it off with different pastries! Those pastries go with the flavors. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cozy Café. This is a staple in my house and it should be a staple in yours! read more

Came here Saturday morning. It was pretty busy and had a nice ambiance. This place seemed like it was a family local owned restaurant and I would definitely come back to support them again. Service as good. Some of the other reviews say that the owner was rude. I didn't think so. He just seemed eager to meet new people and promote his business. Coffee flight: every single coffee was good! The lavender was my favorite. Be sure to mix this one before you drink it. It was more lavender-y towards the bottom. The caramel was sweet and the vanilla was perfect without too much sweetness. Crispy chicken picante: this sandwich was big! The chicken was flavorful, salty, and crispy. Wow! I really enjoyed this coffee shop and was very impressed with the selections here! We stopped by with my family for dessert and coffee on a Saturday afternoon. The vibes were very fall & homey which I loved. I ordered a coffee along with a slice of pumpkin pie which was very filling. I wish I read reviews beforehand, I would love to try the coffee flight next time! We saw a family that ordered delicious looking burgers! I was impressed with the menu selection! I visited this bakery on a girls day with my mom. It's right on the corner of Main St next to free parking. They have cozy seating where you can enjoy your breakfast. I ordered a coffee flight and my mom ordered the hot chocolate flight. The bakery items were AMAZING and the service cannot be best. We spoke to one of the owners, Shiraz who was so kind. You could tell he truly loves his work and mentioned that this bakery was created to help support the community. The Cozy Cafe certainly is cozy. And by cozy, I mean tight quartered. The dining room is tight. The area at the front counter is tight. Having said that, they have some amazing dessert & sweets. The food is reasonably large in portions size and very tasty. We tried the Cozy Burger. We enjoyed the burger. The fries were excellent, perfectly seasoned. I think we enjoyed the fries more than the burger. We were a little disappointed with the burger prep. At ordering, we were asked how we wanted it cooked, and it was overcooked. My first time at Cozy was today for lunch. I met up with my friends who live in Frederick and Annapolis. It's located at Main Street towards the railroad. I have heard great reviews about Cozy so I wanted to try it. I was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. I was expecting the ambiance to be homey and pictured a cozy atmosphere with a couch and coffee table vibes. There were mostly tables and didn't even see the cabinet where they housed the utensils and napkins. It was cramped in the back. The person giving us the food had to tell me where to find it. There is an Instagram wall with grass and flowers you can take your picture. To be honest, it looks out of place in a cafe. There were a lot of people there and the tables turn quickly. You order at the counter and the menu was extensive. I wish the breakfast offerings did not end at 12 noon. There was more on the breakfast menu that I wanted more than on the lunch menu. I ordered the local street corn salad. In the menu it did not state if you can add a protein but I asked and they said I can add any protein that I want so I went with chicken which I didn't know would cost an extra $9. I wished the person behind the register would have told me that or I would not have ordered a $20 salad. Oh and I also London fog. The local street corn salad was good. I liked the chipotle sauce on it. I can't say the chicken was worth an extra $9 though. It looked like they cut up some chicken and added it to my salad. I didn't think the amount of chicken that I got was worth $9. That is my opinion. I thought the salad was light and satisfied my hunger. Little did I know that I would be hungry again in a few hours. I didn't really enjoy the London Fog. I didn't taste any vanilla in it and tasted bland to me. The people working behind the counter were nice but need to communicate the extras to the customer. They made sure we enjoyed our food and asked us if we liked it. My friend didn't enjoy her burger but didn't tell us why. My other friend said her caprese sandwich was okay. I would Iike to say I would be back but it didn't have the cozy atmosphere the name implied. Solid 4 for Cozy...and interested to try more sweets that could sway me up. Their name is fitting...very cozy...and welcoming vibe. The owner is front and center and you can tell he cares. Small eat in, but had no issues early on a Saturday evening finding a table for 4. Went with the Nashville hot chicken sando special and it delivered big time. Crispy, juicy, sauce with a kick, balanced perfectly with the slaw. But just as good as the sandwich was the crinkle fries, and they def aren't my go-to fries. The way these things were seasoned and came out piping hot....would make me return by themselves! Also tried the cinnamon roll cheesecake, which was a slight miss for me. We had a fantastic experience w Cozy's bakery, catering my 50th birthday party. The party was originally planned for August, until I got Covid and we were forced to reschedule with only 3-4 days notice. Cozy's handled it like a pro and we rescheduled for October. We ordered small chicken and beef sandwiches, hot potato/handheld hash brown triangles that were delish, small cannolis, petit fours, mozzarella sticks, cake and pie slices, and everything was delicious! I have visited twice in the past, and have been very impressed with their staff who are both very friendly and personable. Location: It is a bit difficult to find parking downtown, but the cafe is within walking distance of most parking areas. The cafe itself is a bit small and cramped. The entrance room can become crowded when waiting in line to order, and the dining area is also a bit tight with tables very close together. It also seems that they use part of the dining area for storage as there are boxes along one of the walls. Drinks and Desserts: We ordered both the coffee flight and the hot chocolate flight. Each had 4 flavors (traditional, peppermint, caramel and gingerbread) of coffee/hot chocolate and each flavor came with a paired pastry/bakery item. These were super fun to try. However, some of the hot chocolate could have been a little stronger in flavor. Food: Unfortunately, I have not been super impressed with the food, and it's a bit pricey. I've had both the crab cake and their spicy chicken sandwich. The crab cake had some seasoning that I wasn't a big fan of. The chicken sandwich was very dry when I got it. However, my husband really enjoyed his burger, and we both liked their fries. Overall, Cozy Cafe has great staff, but we aren't sure if we'll be back soon. I will say that I was outside looking at the menu and I didn't like the pressure to come in that we got, although I do kind of get it -- they're all the way at the bottom of Main Street, so I'm guessing foot traffic can be kind of low. Everyone friendly other than that. Anyway, I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was nothing to write home about, but the waffle was excellent. What a welcoming place and what personable customer service. Greeted by the owner and given suggestions on what to try. There is a bakery case upon entry that immediately catches the eye with tempting displays of desserts and pastries. But I also wanted some lunch and they have several options to choose from. I ordered the crab cake which I heard was highly rated from locals. It did not disappoint - in fact it's one of the most flavorful crab cakes I've had (and I'm a Marylander and know my crab cakes) - filled with crabmeat (not all jumbo lump but still some chunks) and the use of mustard and other spices was outstanding - not overpowering but just enough to really enhance the crab flavor. Came with herb fries seasoned to perfection, and a very fresh side salad - no wilted greens. I'm not a coffee drinker but I've heard the coffees here are terrific and there is also flavored hot chocolate. I opted for iced tea and I was surprised how good that was and very refreshing. Maryland is not known for good ice tea. But I found out it's fresh brewed by the glass there! No wonder it was so good. Even the workers bringing out the food and bussing the tables are smiling and the atmosphere is so relaxing as it's in a very quaint location in Old Ellicott City across from the railroad museum. Because everything is freshly made to order it may take a short wait to get your food but it is worth the wait. They will bring it to your table after you order at the counter. Once you walk in, you see the display of their desserts and treats. It was quite overwhelming for someone that is indecisive. They all looked so good. There was a gentleman and a young lady at the counter. They were very friendly and attentive. I ended up choosing a cookie topped with chocolate frosting, the Iced Signature Coffee and corned beef, egg and cheese on croissant. The cookie was good. Not overly sweet. The coffee was smooth, mixed with milk and a sugar syrup. I asked what makes it signature and the gentleman said that they mix the coffee blend. There might have been a hint of vanilla, but I couldn't place the flavor. The sandwich was a little lonely without any garnishes or sides, which by looking at the menu, it doesn't seem like there're much options. Otherwise, the breakfast sandwich was solid. Warm, tasty and filling. Inside decor is basically the same from the previous restaurant, Georgia Cafe, that occupied the space. Optimistically and in good cheer, we came in for coffee and breakfast. However, once we walked in we were immediately skeptical, as the decor is a real hodgepodge and afterthought. My daughter said: This looks like it was all from the thrift store - and not in a good way. But we decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, we returned our coffee and canceled the order when the coffee was ashy and bitter and the service beyond slow. The ambiance had also set in: it was artificial and depressing. Sigh.
