We got a midday takeout brunch (Apr 2026) with visiting friends from the new location that the Ellicott City Bagel Bin recently moved to, a little west of their previous location. Their bagels are still great! We got their bagel and nova lox on a toasted freshly-made sesame bagel, and another on a toasted freshly-made poppy-seed bagel. Both were generously stuffed with flavorful smoked salmon and a thick whole schmear of dense cream cheese. The tomato slices were sweet and fresh. The sliced red onions had a nice bite. The sprinkling of capers added a little excitement to each bite. And for the little one, a simple scrambled egg on a warm plain bagel. Bagel Bin now shares a space with Roma's Pizza and Subs! So we also got a tasty ham and cheese hoagie on a toasty ciabatta roll, with hot crispy-coated fries. It had tender thin-sliced ham and cheddar. Simple. Perfect. Great bagel spot in the Ellicott City area. Today I tried the Dr. Seuss and I am indeed a fan of green eggs and ham now. The pesto eggs are fantastic! I added scallion cream cheese to this and it was awesome! Shop was bopping with lots of people but my food came out quick and staff were very friendly. Service: The staff here is friendly and focused on giving each customer excellent service. Ambiance: Minimal. This is a very popular local gathering place on Saturday mornings. They have newspapers available for guests to read while you sip on your coffee. This place is busy on weekends, I think this is a popular local breakfast spot. I saw groups of friends, families, and high schoolers, enjoying their breakfast. If you can't find seating inside there's overflow seating outside, just make sure you order a coffee to stay warm. Though the bagels are great all is a turn-off once you see not one soul connected to this scrumptious product is wearing a head covering - not the woman taking the order, not the man preparing it and most disappointing not the man with the pony tail making/baking these morning delights. My brother and I decided to grab a quick bite after their relocation. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, come to find out, the person taking the order only placed one sandwich into the system. We waited patiently and when it was ready, they only brought out one sandwich. I told the person who took my order that we wanted two sandwiches. He takes back the one sandwich into the back, doesn't tell anyone other staff what's going on, he then gets on the phone, other staff comes up asking what's going on, I explain, another staff asks what's going on, I explain, they're looking for that one sandwich that was taken to the back for no reason at all. There's no process and order in their operations. The manager comes up front hostile and asks what's going on, so at this point I've already explained to several staff what's going on, the entire time, the person who took my order was still on the phone taking orders, when he simply could have put them on hold to explain the situation. The manager had the nerve to tell me to watch my attitude, lmao. I asked for my money back, and they even struggled to give my money back. This place and their management is rock bottom. I will never come back to this establishment. And to the manager, if you're reading this, why did you act like you a tough guy? Trying to impress your staff? Do your job and teach your staff how to take orders. read more

Yaaay! A great bagel place near my house! The bagels are really good. They've got just the right crunch on the outside and texture on the inside. And they offer a great variety too. The staff is so friendly! They welcome you as soon as you enter and are glad to take your order. Lots of windows so it's very bright. I'm looking forward to going back often! The Bagel Bin moved from their old location into a new spot with Roma's Pizza very recently. I have ordered food from them for years and it was always good quality and nice portions. I ordered a turkey sandwich on a bagel today and when it got here it literally had 2 slices of processed turkey. They used to give large portions of FRESH turkey. I don't know if it's new management or what, but this is very disappointing. May try a breakfast sandwich in the future, but will never order a lunch sandwich from there again. read more

We're during lunch hours and it wasn't crowded but still lots of takeouts order. It was our 1st time dining in so there's a lil bit confusion of where's line to order and who's taking order, a lesson to learn maybe we should just order (talk) louder next time. We had blueberries bagel with cream cheese, you can definitely taste the blueberries in every single bites. That's our lil one favorite! I have been going to Bagel Bin for years with my family and since the new ownership my parents refuse to go back because they say they ruined the bagels. I still go because I enjoy the food, however they used to be open until 9pm before Covid, now they "close at 2". That is insanely early for a restaurant to be closed for the day. I attempted to go this afternoon and I was at the door 10 mins before closing and all I wanted was a bagel toasted with butter, but they let me know that they'd closed early. 2 is already PLENTY early. I'm very disappointed, I used to love this place. EDIT: I wrote this review yesterday and tried to go once again today because I was really craving that bagel still and I sh*t you not they closed early again, this time at 1PM! This place needs more love. Seriously. Great selection of breakfast foods with interesting creations, but the bagels are the real stars as they are made fresh with great variety. I had ordered the Malibu Gucci (a healthy option) and the Bogey Crusher (double bacon option), which both were delicious! The staff members are very nice, and working very hard to please customers. This place can get busy in the morning (especially weekends), but worth the wait. If you want to save some time you can call in orders ahead of time or make delivery or pick up orders online orders through DoorDash. I also saw that this is the Hoagie House with few selection of hoagies(subs) you can order. By the way, I love it that they call it hoagies and not subs here because as a Philly native we call our these sandwiches, hoagies. One of the only breakfast places that was open early enough for me to get food on the way to work. They have Taylor Ham (pork roll) which for me as a Jersey transplant is a touch of home. My review is mainly for customer service. I ordered a delivery from this shop to go to a location in Ellicott City - I myself was NOT local at the time. Doordash messed it up entirely, sent the driver to the wrong place. The manager of the bagel shop (shout out to Jake) was super helpful, and not only accommodated by offering to re-make the order (if the driver didn't return it) but in the absence of DoorDash ability to fix the fact that the driver went to the wrong place - Jake personally delivered this order for me. I got take out here on a Friday mid morning. As a new customer the flow for ordering was confusing and so other customers who came in after me were served before anyone asked me if I had been helped. Other than the initial confusion the clerk was very friendly. I ordered two egg salad bagel sandwiches and a half dozen bagels. Yum! The egg salad is delicious and comes with a pickle and bagel chips. I honestly thought the chips were a bit stale and wouldn't have missed them. Stopped by here during my holiday travels and was very pleasantly surprised! I had a Reuben on a marbled bagel and a cup of kale soup with chickpeas. The Ruben was fantastic, with the pastrami not being too fatty and perfectly salted. The soup was great and seasoned very well. I also love how soup was served in a mug! The sandwich also came with bagel chips, which i put in the soup. Plus, the coffee really hit the spot and was a perfect pick me up for the road, I had the antithesisbrew. I got 5 different items. They were not bad but could definitely been better. The nova lox and cream cheese was below my expectations, it was just cream cheese and salmon. It didn't have any casper and I'm not sure if it was forgotten or this store just don't have them. I also got the ham sandwich and tuna sandwich on white bread but the bread weren't toasted as requested. They still tasted good, but I wish the bread were toasted and made them even better. The salsa from the salsa sauve tasted bitter for some reason? If I were to order this again, I'd ask to leave out the salsa but it is weird for salsa to taste bitter in the first place. The last item was a plain bagel with cream cheese and fortunately they weren't so stingy on the cream cheese. This place really did improve dramatically in quality and variety in the past year or so under new management. I remember a few years ago, when I first checked it out, it was kind of drab and dumpy looking, and the bagels were a bit disappointing. The bagels and atmosphere are now much better quality. Not true NY Style but I don't mind, as we prefer it a tad softer. Fresh ingredients, and their strawberry cream cheese is more natural looking and tasting than other places (not the usual bright artificial color, and there are bits of real strawberry in it). Customer service was great. The atmosphere reminded me of the bagel/breakfast places I enjoy at Bethany beach. (One of the staff was wearing a sweatshirt that said Bethany beach, perhaps that's why. ) I initially thought I preferred THB, which is still good, but realized their everything bagels were way too salty and they don't have certain options like whitefish in a container there. I think Bagel Bin is solid, and more of a classic bagel deli place. Plus, they offer fun rice krispies treats! read more
