    Acai bowl
    Annie L.

After recently moving to Ellicott City, Georgia Grace Cafe has become my weekly go to for my academic day away from the hospital. With a cozy, intimate interior and staff that defines what it means to be welcoming, attentive and hospitable, GGC is a true neighborhood gem. Every time I'm there, the staff goes out of their way to make sure I have everything I need while also making an effort to get to know me as a now more familiar face. My staple morning order is the Acai bowl with an oat milk latte. Piled high with homemade granola, large scoop of Acai and an almond butter drizzle with Greek yogurt buried at the center, the bowl is breakfast heaven. The latte never disappoints and coffee lovers will rejoice at the fun, seasonal specials. The bakery case always has something new, offering fresh, flavorful treats that you'll want to takeaway if you don't eat in house. Having also dipped my toe into the lunch menu, I was thrilled to find ample vegetarian options with an inventive Greek+French fusion flair. Thank you for becoming a weekly highlight, GGC team! See you next week :)

Actually I came to give 5 stars. İt shows close 4pm at Yelp. We came 2:10 pm. It was closed. We saw the Empleyees and the other customers but the door was locked and there is a note which says today close at 2pm on the window. We came from Columbia. I prefer to see the sign in Yelp... İ am really upset! The menu and the photos was nice. Anyway we will come again!

Came here for breakfast for the first time! There was a line to put in an order, but it was nice to get out of the cold once we out the order in, we immediately got our coffees and our food came out about 10 or so minutes later. Pretty quick despite the line! Definitely worth the wait :) the dining area upstairs was a little noisy, but it seemed like a popular spot, and the meal was definitely worth it :) Will be coming back to try the crepes!

My favorite place to go to for brunch in Old Ellicott City! Their bay bowl was delicious. The cafe is very cozy and everyone there was so sweet. Perfect stop to start at before going around to all the shops.

    Cowboy Scramble Bowl

Georgia Grace Cafe is an adorable spot tucked right into Main Street. The Sweetness crepe was exactly what I was hoping for: ripe strawberries and just the right amount of Nutella, not too sweet or overpowering. The cowboy scramble was another standout. The generous portion of short rib added a rich, savory depth without making the dish feel too heavy, making it a hearty breakfast bowl that still felt balanced. Coffee came out quick and hot. I sat on the covered porch out front and stayed perfectly dry during a light drizzle -- such a relaxing setting to sip and enjoy some people watching. This is the kind of local café that makes you want to become a regular! Like the person in front of me, who clearly was a return customer as the staff at the counter knew his exact order!! The service was great, we didn't feel at all neglected as the one folks sitting outside. Will definitely return!

Hidden gem, great vibes and ambiance. Quiet outdoor eating area hearing birds chirp, and convos of my fellow patrons at other tables. Ordered a mimosa, red eye and breakfast sandwich called the Dino. Everything was incredible. The staff was kind and accommodating. Here are the other stars this place deserves 10 star cafe. If you're looking for me I will be here in the morning. Wow. I stumbled here after a morning walk and I am beyond thrilled at this simple sanctuary of good food and stellar service. I also want to order everything I just got a second time.

Georgia Grace Cafe is a great breakfast stop in Old Ellicott City. Not only a wide variety of breakfast items including bowls, omelettes, crustinis, sandwiches and crepes, but also lunch, Boozy drinks, and coffee liqueurs to spice up your morning libation.

**Update** One year later, the service and good is jusy as excellent and the owner continues to visit my friends during their meal. This time ai brought two more friends of mine that moved to the area. They are super excited to have a place like this here. The food, the service, the speed of delivery is STILL over the top amazing. I absolutely enjoy coming here when I visit my friends. Thank you Georgia and staff. Ya'll always make me feel like I am eating a home-cooked meal.

Georgia Grace is a cute cafe on Ellicott City's main street. It looks like a home that was transformed into a cafe, and you will experience that warm home feel when you enter. They have food, baked goods, and a decent selection of drinks. I went with a friend and ordered a red eye with oatmilk and created my own omelet with spinach and bacon. I also had a sausage patty on the side. My friend had their salmon sandwich and a frozen lemonade. She did not enjoy her email and ultimately did not finish. She noted that the bread underneath was too thick, and the sauce drizzled on top was not flavorful. My omelet was good; they don't add any salt or pepper, so you will have to adjust to your taste. I also asked for hot peppers, and they didn't have any as an option. Overall, it is a cute location, and they have a decent menu to explore. They have ample seating, upstairs and downstairs, so even though there were a lot of people there, we found seating pretty easily. They do close early, so if you know you want to spend some time there to work or chat, I recommend coming earlier.

Are you looking for the perfect cafe to sit outside and drink a delicious latte? Or maybe try scrumptious Greek cuisine or even a tasty bakery item? Georgia Grace Cafe is the perfect spot. Locate it in the heart of main Street, Ellicott City, this place has it all. Their coffee drinks are some of the best I've had in the area and their sweets are unique and homemade. This is a great place to catch Sunday breakfast or Tuesday afternoon lunch! There's plenty of seating and the staff is always very welcoming. Make sure to give it a shot!

    chocolate chip cookie
    El P.

bluf: georgia grace is a quaint cafe located in Old Ellicott City that offers cool fancier breakfasty/brunchy options. First thing that greets you is their front desk/order bar with a bunch of their fresh pastries. I opted for the chocolate chip cookie and not any of the pastries. They do warm it up for you if you ask. I was excited for the cookie, but was left a bit disappointed. It was a $5 cookie and relatively on the large side. The inside felt pretty underdone and was very chocolate chip heavy, so I just felt like chocolate was closing my mouth shut from the gooeyness. Before the cookie, I had the Gracie as my main entree. It was good. Good flavors and depth. They served my protein on top of a bed of fries, which I personally don't like because it gets the fries all soggy. The meat was good, but was just the slightest bit dry. Overall, an enjoyable dish. They have a nice venue with a downstairs that feels more like a traditional cafe, an upstairs with seating for larger parties, and an outside dining patio. They bring the food to you after ordering and bus the tables afterwards, but overall you don't have too much interaction with staff after you order. Cute little spot for a meal to stop before enjoying the rest of the town.

Such a cute place! It was the perfect fall morning and we decided to have a late breakfast in Old Ellicott City. We stopped by here 10am on a Sunday morning. Plenty of parking in the lot right across from the entrance. You walk in and order at the counter. They had all types of options for breakfast, lunch and plenty of drink options. Plus a counter of fresh desserts! We decided on the Bay Bowl and a build your own omelette. After ordering, you go and find your seat. We luckily found seats on the front porch. (Again, the perfect morning!) A server then comes out with your food. The food was delicious and proportioned just right. Not too much and not too little. Afterwards, we strolled through the Main Street area and then headed back home. Thank you, Georgia Grace Cafe! We'll be back. :)

What is the parking situation near this place? My husband cannot walk very far.

Parking is available on Main street across from our entrance if you are lucky and there is also a parking lot across the street from our location behind The Phoenix that is very close... about a two block walk.

I chose Ambar for my group, and I'm very pleased with our selection. Food Most of our group had dietary restrictions. Several of us were gluten free, and one person was both nut and seafood free. Ambar did an excellent job curating a menu that worked for everyone without making anyone feel like an afterthought. We opted for the Chef's Table experience, which included a spread tasting with veggie sticks and a variety of dishes that were clearly labeled and thoughtfully prepared: * Bean hummus - GF / DF / NF * Ajvar - GF / DF / NF * Balkan salad - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without feta cheese) * Baby carrots - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without tofu sauce) * Roasted peppers - GF / DF / NF * Cauliflower - GF / DF / NF * Baked beans - GF / DF / NF * Roasted lamb - GF / DF / NF * Stuffed pork belly "Sarma" - GF / DF / NF * Brussels sprouts - GF / DF / NF (one prepared without yogurt and bacon) * Seafood platter Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The meal was so delicious that I didn't even manage to get photos of everything, which rarely happens for me. Just know we dined very well and left completely satisfied. Service The staff was wonderful from start to finish. From the event team member who served as our account manager, to the chef, to the servers and wait staff, everyone was attentive and accommodating. They handled our dietary needs with care and professionalism and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the evening. Pricing We paid a set fee that we were able to negotiate, and the final rate wasn't too bad for a group experience like this. Just keep in mind that there is an admin fee, a 20% gratuity, and taxes added on top, so be sure to factor that into your planning if you're booking a group event. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Ambar for group dining, especially if you have guests with dietary restrictions. They made coordination easy, delivered great food, and created a memorable dining experience for our team.

When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off

He forgot several items that we ordered. The bread basket was horrible with pads of butter thrown on the top of the basket. Side dishes were missing. No one came back to refill ice tea. We had to get up to request an additional beer. They brought us the wrong deserts we did not order. Finally it took 40 minutes after we finished our entree to bring desert and 3 hours to have dinner. It is a $24.95 flat price offering an appetizer, entree and dessert for that price. (Only available Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 5-6:30 pm). There were about 6 choices each for appetizers and entrees and 3 for dessert. My companion had a mussel appetizer and I had French Onion soup. My soup was a great example of the classic preparation. Bubbly and browned cheese over a deeply flavorful broth of onions and a slice of French bread. My companion loved the mussels. As to the entree I had what was called Beef Diane, a twist on the classic Steak Diane. It consisted of tips of filet in a delicious gravy flavored with cognac. My companion had Rainbow Trout and was very happy with it. For dessert we both had cheesecake with strawberry sauce. A good example of a New York style cheesecake. Both entrees were served with well cooked mixed vegetables. The portions were not a scaled down size but normal size. The meal comes with fresh baked toasted bread served warm. Delicious. The service was attentive which was to be expected because there were only 3 tables occupied. A complimentary shot of a what I think was kahlua was served at the end of the meal. Because of an unexpected change of plans, we decided to have a weekend dinner here, and it turned out to be a great decision - based on the food and service. What really worked for us was that the restaurant has a few outdoor tables, and the outdoor seating is dog-friendly. First, the restaurant has a pretty extensive menu with diverse options. I will admit that I was a bit overwhelmed when the waitress mentioned all of the specials for the evening. It seemed as the list kept going, going and going. Also, the restaurant has a dinner special for about 35 bucks that includes either a 3 course meal or a 2 course meal + a glass of wine. For my dining pleasure, I went with the baked (or maybe it was broiled) flounder that was served with potatoes and green beans. Overall, I thought my meal was absolutely delicious. I do wish the portions were slightly larger. Overall, I thought the service was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was very friendly and constantly checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. Although we visited around 5:30 pm on a Saturday, I was a bit surpised with how crowed the restaurant became around 6:30 pm. If you are planning to visit around this time, I highly recommend making reservations even though this section of Wheaton can be relatively quiet. Also, the restaurant seems to be very popular with the eldery community. During our visit, I'd say the average age of diners was somewhere in the 60s.

Hard to find an elegant restaurant like this anymore where the food and ambiance are superb. An amazing bread basket that I had to refrain from eating too much as I knew my dinner would be rich and filling. Also, the cocktails are superb. Even though many restaurants now serve specialty cocktails, they don't always live up to expectations. Here at Bas Rouge they are mixed beautifully. One should be aware that, although I believe you can order al a carte, it's mainly a three/four or seven course menu. NOTE: I was extremely dismayed to see that they had foie gras on the menu. Especially seeing that this restaurant is named after I believe the owner's breed of dog that he loves, I believe foie gras, as many people do, is animal cruelty to produce. They also serve veal that again, is usually from animals confined to crates that stunt their growth. Sorry for the bummer ending, just stating what I believe is factual.

First off, Balkan food is accessible, so don't let that scare you. It's not just beets served atop…read morean unexploded land mine. Second, the service is unique. You have a menu of maybe 30 dishes. You can order as many as you want for a set price (50 bucks or so per person). The dishes are served in very small portions which facilitates everyone having a bite or two then moving on to the next dish. Finally, everything was good. We had a party of three and we shared maybe 13 or 14 dishes. It would be VERY difficult to pick the top 3 favorite dishes because all of them were contenders.

My son and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch at Ambar Shaw the last weekend of March 2026. I'm thankful it happened early in the morning and no one was seriously injured. I hope that the owners can repair the damage allowing them to reopen this location! My understanding is that they have two other locations in the DC area. During our visit, our service was friendly, quick and efficient. We had the all-you-can eat brunch for about $37/person. We didn't elect the bottomless mimosas though I was seriously tempted! We ate inside since I was worried about the chilly morning, but the enclosed patio looked delightful. I kinda wish we'd eaten out there! Noise levels inside were manageable. The food was wonderful and some dishes like the flatbread pizza were larger than I expected. I'll say I think bottomless brunches are best enjoyed by a group of 3 minimum, ideally 4-6. For two of us, it was hard to sample as much as we'd like, especially if we want to try different things. One gets full faster than you'd expect and I hate to waste food! A couple dishes that stood out to me: the little donut holes were a treat as was the white flatbread. The beet tzatziki served with pita bread tasted amazing! I'm less of a poached egg person, so I can't comment on those options. I didn't take pics of each dish, too busy enjoying them! Definitely worth working AMBAR into your brunch rotation!
