The resort is very clean and the staff and other campers are very friendly and welcoming. Before arriving, I even received an email confirming that exact site. When I checked in, I was told they had given my reserved site to someone else and moved me to a different spot. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was to secure that particular location, so this completely defeated the purpose of planning ahead. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled. The manager never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, I was met with an attitude that made it seem like my frustration wasn't justified. A sincere apology and some accountability would have gone a long way. To "make it right," they offered a 20% discount, which honestly felt insulting given that they failed to honor a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. It wasn't about the money--it was about keeping their commitment and treating customers with respect when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable birthday started with disappointment because of the park's poor reservation management and lack of customer service. I hope they improve their processes and, more importantly, learn how to take responsibility when they let their guests down.

Moved into the main area and honestly, with all the big rigs that pulled in, it can get very cramped for "privacy". Add to that some dogs and it can get very interesting. As usual at an RV site, some people have ZERO clue about site etiquette. Several folks walking their dogs around my site. My dogs did not appreciate that. But that's the only complaint I had - a bit cramped when all sites around you are full, and people are the same no matter where we camp. The people running this site are the best!! Tom helps you park and it makes it SO easy to back into the spot. First try, boom, all set!! The beach is only a few blocks away, totally walkable. That said, they also provide a ride to and from the beach on the golf cart. Very helpful when you're lugging all your beach stuff. Expensive to stay, but it was a great vacation. I'd stay here again.

The office is easy to get to and has very convenient hours. The bathhouse was very clean and had large showers. The laundry room had 5 sets of washers and dryers that are coin operated and easy to use. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk but the staff also offers free rides to and from via golf cart that we utilized several times. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

One odd thing is, you pull into your slip bow first due to low water on that end of the slip. We had pizza delivered to the camper and also had amazon items sent to the office. It was very nice. The only negative I can come up with is the fact that if you cannot make your reservation for whatever reason, they are not going to refund you. They will only give you a voucher to be used in the next 365 days. I am not crazy about that. They should be a little more understanding about that. Great location, like 4 grocery stores within 2 miles. Close between Pensacola and Ft. Walton/Destin. We will stay there again, I just my delay my reservation until I am positive I will make it to the area.

As we're traveling through the Mojave desert, we experienced not one but two blowouts doing extensive damage to our fifth wheel trailer. We had to cancel our trip and return home and put our trailer in the repair shop for well over a month. As we were calling the 15 RV sites that we had secured reservations at all of them were very understanding and we were able to cancel our reservations minus a $20 cancellation fee at most parks. Some of the parks even waived the cancellation fee then we had to deal with Santa Rosa RV park on the Gulf Coast of Florida. They offered us a one-year voucher to come back and stay with them. I explained that that was not an option, as we were not able to reschedule this trip within a year, and I asked if there was a way that we could come to an agreement that would somehow reduce the $340+ payment that we had made, their response was "we must stick with our policy". Well, I do understand policy, I do also recognize customer service and flexibility. I would recommend not staying at Santa Rosa RV park as there are many options in the area that do appreciate the customer. However, if you choose to stay there, good luck. Thanks, Steve

The wedding was moved to Port St. Joe so we were trying to find an RV place to stay. Although this RV Park was still trying to reconstruct after the devastation of hurricane Michael, they were going to let us rent a space so we would have a place to stay. You just can't beat kindness and caring, especially during these extremely difficult times, & the people at this park have it. We will make a point to stay here next time we're in their area.
