As my wife and I are excited to start our trip across the southern United States, traveling from California to Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, we got off to a rough start. As we're traveling through the Mojave desert, we experienced not one but two blowouts doing extensive damage to our fifth wheel trailer. We had to cancel our trip and return home and put our trailer in the repair shop for well over a month. As we were calling the 15 RV sites that we had secured reservations at all of them were very understanding and we were able to cancel our reservations minus a $20 cancellation fee at most parks. Some of the parks even waived the cancellation fee then we had to deal with Santa Rosa RV park on the Gulf Coast of Florida. They offered us a one-year voucher to come back and stay with them. I explained that that was not an option, as we were not able to reschedule this trip within a year, and I asked if there was a way that we could come to an agreement that would somehow reduce the $340+ payment that we had made, their response was "we must stick with our policy". Well, I do understand policy, I do also recognize customer service and flexibility. It was 02 APR 2021, and I had just purchased a 2021 Flagstaff Micro Lite 25BRDS travel trailer for the family. Based on the advice of Long Long Honeymoon's Sean & Kristy Michaels, I heeded their advice and decided not to travel too far for our first trip, as they recommended a "shakedown" trip to sort out any issues. However, as this was our second trip, we opted to push a little further than our 60 mile inaugural trip, and travelled 227 miles to Navarre, FL and stayed at the Santa Rosa RV Resort. This 88-site RV resort consists of 4 rows of camping, with row 1 facing the water (Santa Rosa Sound), rows 2 and 3 on the interior loop of the park, and row 4 backing up directly to the highway (Navarre Parkway). A few of the sites had airstreams for rent in case you don't have an RV and want to experience the "lifestyle". There are also a few air conditioned covered wagons that can be rented. This is a very nice RV resort, but it's a little small and the spaces are a little close together. However, we never felt too crowded, but as a newbie, it was a little tight for me to back my travel trailer in to my site. Amenities include a pool, club house, showers, laundry, fitness room, fenced pet area, dog beach, fishing pier, free Wi-Fi, private white sand beach and a playground. The online reservation system was easy to use and quite intuitive. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. The prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for, including a well manicured and landscaped resort. We loved our waterfront site and would likely only choose these sites, or perhaps row 2. Row 4 is a no-go due to potential road noise and row 3 may be almost as noisy. We would definitely recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again. read more

Meticulously maintained park, small, just 4 rows. Firepit and pool area are so nice to hang out and meet new people. Heated pool. And waterfront sites. Back row is on a 4 lane road and it's very loud. Cell and wifi service are non existent, which is strange. We work part time and had to go to Starbucks for service. Which was annoying. We stayed 16-days our first time in Santa Rosa. This is a small but nice park right on the Navarre Beach channel. It's only a few minutes drive to the beach. It is a little pricey, especially if you want waterfront. We were put in a very small pull-through for the size of our rig, so once we had our side porch out (thank goodness we have one) we really did not have anywhere to sit outside, and we barely had room to park our dually truck at our RV. They do have extra parking, but it's up by the office area, so if you needed anything from the truck spur of the moment you had to take a walk. The park is very clean. The heated pool is awesome. Even on cooler or windy days it is nice in the pool area. The music could be changed up once in a while, but that's my opinion. The people are very friendly. A lot of RV's coming and going daily, with some monthly renters. They do not allow golf carts, but the pool and fire pit area is a short walk regardless of where you are. Some of the downsides; it's very noisy as it is located adjacent to highway 98, and very close to the hospital so sirens constantly. They allow 2 dogs per campsite, and let me tell you EVERYONE has 2 dogs. Some bark a lot. It's way too many dogs in my opinion. It would be nice if they could cut it back to 1 per site. Would we come back? Yes, but we need a larger pull-through or a nice spot along the channel. I don't think we would stay as long next time. This might be a shorter stop for us between central Florida and Gulf Shores next time. read more

We've stayed here twice now and loved it both times. Super convenient to Navarre Beach Bridge. The resort itself is well kept and very clean. The spots are close together, but plenty of greenery offers some privacy and shade. The view is beautiful from most sites, even those not directly on the water. You can hear the traffic if you are on the back rows, but it's not terrible. We have stayed row 2 and row 4. We definitely liked row 2 better. The bath houses are nice. The pool and cabana area are very nice and have a resort feel for sure! Love the pier! We will be back! read more

Stop 1 on a 5 stop FL RV resort tour. Any park I stay at starts at 3 or I wouldn't book. Not given or stayed at a 5 yet. You have to be special if you get a 1 or 2 star. Most likely I wouldn't review at 1 or 2 as I'd be too embarrassed to have thought it was a 3. Santa Rosa clearly exceeded expectations, so i ranked it a 4. Thoughts: Initially the communication and booking seemed stilted. Online mostly but I recall having to call and confirm something. Doesn't matter, drove there expecting conflict but in reality the office staff were great and very accommodating. We did book just pre-season and booked a water front site. Don't remember what it cost, but if you have to ask...... Amazing site. Having the waterfront made the somewhat smaller lot size unnoticeable. We did read from the reviews that it is 'noisy' because it was on the main Highway along the coast. Not too bad, but you did hear more vehicles at night and you did know every time the local FD got a call! The good: 1. Can't beat the location on the water. Even if you book a site off the water, the full water front is open to walk (or sit) and they have a pier to walk out. Everybody is on the water! 2. Can't beat the geo location. Publix a short bike ride, a couple of restaurants and decent seafood almost walking distance. The Navarre bridge is right there - walk, ride or drive and you have a whole 'nuther world. 3. Nice pool. Nice beach. Some kayak rentals, a tiki style lounge area. Usual amenities and all clean and modern. 4. A dog park! Wife liked it. Well, the dog too. A nice touch and a reasonable size. Keeping it from 5 stars (pretty minor stuff) 1. Missing the usual pickle ball courts. 2. Missing the community vibe, Had the facilities for some community parties, but nothing happening while we were there. We were preseason, but it was full! 3. It is on a busy road and that may bother some people but it wasn't like a super highway. 4. I think the pool closed at dusk and there was no hot tub. It gets dark at 5 o'clock! The resort is very nice and well maintained. Our issue with the place is the after hours. We had an incident with children biking after dark. They almost hit our dog and us. When I reprimanded the unsupervised children, they kept riding around us as if to intimidate. The poorly mannered family stalked us for the remaining time of our stay as they were trying to pick a fight. Camping lately has been full of people who don't believe rules apply to them. The manager tried but it never really stopped. It will only stop when people are asked to leave and rules are enforced. They are there for everyone's safety even if famous like the one referenced are too stupid to understand this fact. The whole issue could have been solved if the complex policed its rules after dark. It was the Wild West at night - bikes motorized scooters etc. While we may return I hope that it is better handled going forward. Our stay was not as enjoyable as it should have been because of that poorly behaved family from Tennessee. read more

This was my first trip in my new RV. Santa Rosa RV is a wonderful place to stay. It's close to everything that you need a very well-maintained clean park. The staff and guest were so nice. Not a single issue the entire time I was there. The only thing I would suggest is to do your best and not stay in row four as it's very close to the Navarre Parkway. This was our first time staying here. We usually stay down the road at another RV resort that's less expensive and not as well developed. In summary, we really enjoyed our week-long stay at Santa Rosa. We had waterview site 7. Really nice. Staff - Friendly Mail - Decent process Pool - We never used it but saw it. It looked nice. Bathhouse - We never used it but saw them Community Firepit Area - We never used it but saw it. It looked nice and we saw many guests using it WiFi - Not really speedy but very usable Power - 50 amps - no problems - Water - decent pressure, not amazing but very usable - Sewer - well placed Site - Really nice in summary - Concrete paved pad and patio - Long - Not superwide but not on top of your neighbor either - Landscaping - really nice Entry/Exit - Getting into and out of the resort, especially with your RV (the first time you stay here) is a bit tricky and I recommend some map study first. - Going West - this is tricky. You must go east and do a u-turn at the first stop light. Simple enough but can be difficult with a 4-door long bed truck - Going East and North - real easy once all the east bound traffic clears read more

This place is TOP NOTCH. Santa Rosa RV Park is gorgeous!! Like really gorgeous. This place is super clean and very accommodating. I know there are a few complaints about the price, but you pay for what you get. They are always maintaining and keeping up on the facilities and the grounds. The view is beautiful and breathtaking. My husband loved fishing off the pier. My son enjoyed swimming in the sound. My dog loved the dog park available for her. My husband found out he has to go on a last minute TDY trip before we start our move over the summer. I called to cancel the trip and they refused to give us our money back. Honestly I expected a lot more out of this resort than we got. Online made it look like it had a beach that we could lay out on and let the kids play, even their maps show it... They don't. They have a small area by the pool that is up higher than the ocean and that's all there is. The owners weren't very friendly and seemed snappy. Only potty trained children are allowed in the pool which seemed crazy to me at a family resort. Their park isn't very friendly to get to. You have to walk on a small stone pathway sideways down a hill. I couldn't push my stroller there with my kids which was really inconvenient also. I wish they would put a sidewalk or something to make it easier to push a stroller. We did however find the resort to be very clean and beautiful and loved that they had trash pick up every morning. The pool area was great and loved that the laundry room took cards and had an app you could pay through. read more

I tried to plan our Florida trip well in advance and find a nice RV park on the beach. It is difficult to select a place when you are not familiar with the area. I did my research looking at photos, reviews and videos anywhere I could find them. I decided on Santa Rosa RV Resort and hope we would not be disappointed. It turns out I made a very good choice. It was December so the park was full of snowbirds from colder parts of the country and Canada. I have a very large 5th wheel and the roads are a bit tight to do a good back in job. There was a very nice gentleman that worked for the resort who helped me get parked. Thank you! We had a site on the beach side of the park. The views were wonderful. Sunrise and sunset over the bay are dramatic. We noticed there is quite a bit of noise from the main highway that runs outside the park. Not a problem for us but I would think the site closer to the road would get a lot of traffic noise. Spend the extra $$ and get a site on the beach! read more

Spent 4 night here and had a great time. The pool was nice and warm. Very clean, laundry took cards and coins. They had a beach where the dogs could play as well as a fenced in area. Great location. We stayed at Santa Rosa RV Resort this past Thanksgiving week and we were really impressed by the resort. It was clean, well maintained, pool was excellent and the lot was perfect. We have a 42' 5th wheel and we fit on the water just fine. I highly recommend this location. The only thing I would recommend is to have a more defined check in. You really do not know what spot you are going to get until you get there. I guess it is similar to a hotel check in but it worked out for us. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! First off it's very attractive with great landscaping and it's waterfront. The sites have concrete pads, full hookups including cable and the wifi was better in this park than any I've stayed in. The staff was friendly and courteous. I'd give this maybe 4 but there is not 3 1/2 which is really what I would give it. So honestly, I always stay at RV resorts on the ocean, so that is my comparison here. The spots are all concrete paved which is really nice. They are literally on top of each other which is not so nice. Also, no one mentioned that this is really a snowbird community, which it really is. I was afforded permission prior to arrival to bring my four dogs (limit states 3) which was much appreciated. The "4th row" which from a map online you cannot tell which "row" is which, backs up to the highway. There is a CRAZY amount of noise and sirens all night. We barely slept. We asked to move and told all spots were full, but if something opened they'd let us know. Spots opened, and we were not notified. They have a dog park, a big part of the reason we chose this resort. The dog park was an okay size ( we have large dogs so a tad small for us, but probably good size for most) Dog park minus side: a cable above ground in sand that dogs running could easily trip on (and did), a small agility house that was falling apart with broken wood and exposed screws. A pvc water or sewage pipe (not sure which) that popped up the second day about 6-8 inches above the sand. All in all just not well maintained or safe for dogs. Then had the manager call me to say that people had contacted her that they felt my dogs were "aggressive". If she had additional calls we'd have to leave. I have boxers who absolutely barked at all of the micro dogs off leash and one dog who was on leash. They are dogs. They bark. Onto the beach. There isn't really one. There is maybe five feet of sand with some uncomfortable chairs. The plus side the water is SUPER shallow for a very long time. Fishing pier- don't waste your time. Seriously. This was what I was looking forward to most. At the END of the pier the water is thee feet deep at high tide. Nonfish, not even bait fish. You have to go across the bridge to Navarre pier to do any real fishing or to see a real beach. The people were friendly, but I certainly didn't feel welcome or included. They had activities geared toward the snowbirds, that no one else would be interested in. The pool was nice but played 60's music all day long. No chance of changing that. Literally had to put headphones in or leave when I got sick of it. In terms of cleanliness- 5stars In terms of layout and space- 3 stars In terms of telling someone ahead they'd be back up to a highway- 0 stars Dog run- 2 stars Pool- 4 stars Pool music selection 2 start ( diversity is nice) Beach- 2 stars Pier nice for walking on not to fish. Amenities- 5 stars We left a day early to head somewhere more family oriented and diverse. read more

I was scheduled for a 10 day stay at Santa Rosa RV resort, the week prior to reservation, our RV broke down and had to be towed to dealership. When I called to cancel our reservation and reschedule for another date, I was told I could not and would forfeit our $684.00 because it was not within the 14 day cancel period. WHAT?? We broke down, this was not planned or intentional, as a matter of fact we were meeting family at Santa Rosa. But the real kicker is, during the time of our reservation that we are paying for, they rented out our space, yes, RENTED the same space we are paying for! I have documentation and photos! To me, this is quite unethical and I would NOT recommend working with Santa Rosa RV resort. Stick with KOA. We weren't expecting a refund, but simply wanted to reschedule. read more

We had reservations June of 2021. Late May my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma cancer. I called the park and explain our situation as my husband need to begin treatments immediately however they refused to refund any portion of our reservation cost. This was a time that I really need the money and I loss over $400. My husband died June 20, 2021 right after our 49th anniversary. Please be aware that if the unexpected happens they will have no sympathy for you. I know this post is longtime coming but it has been a very hard year. read more

We loved our visit here. This park is very clean and we'll kept. All the staff are super nice. We had a water front site and the views were spectacular. I enjoyed everything about this place except for a few days of bad weather, lol. We liked it so much we made reservations to return in three weeks with my granddaughter, step granddaughter and neighbors little girl. The girls will love the pool, beach, yolos, kayaks and general area. I cant wait to return with them. The only con is noise from the road. We ran the AC fan at night to drown out the noise. I do not consider this a big deal. A gated entrance would be nice. They were working on some new playground equipment when we left. read more

My wife & I had a reservation for one week. I have terminal cancer and had a round of tests on the Friday before our reservation, which was within the 14 day cancellation window. I had viral pneumonia in both lungs so my dr wanted me to take both the Covid test and the antibody test the following Monday. The results take 4-5 days, so our time at Santa Rosa would be over before we even got there. I talked to Jinxk , the manager and explained the problem. I offered to send her all my medical records to confirm the dates. I did not ask for a refund, all I did was simply ask to move my reservation to next May She refused and said that since we were within 14 days she could not do anything So she cancelled my reservation and kept $1000 of my money Say a prayer for her cold heart on our country of hatred Hard to believe she would not show some level of grace to a terminal patient Suggest you boycott this park. There are too many other decent people to spend your money with, and not support people like this who have no morals or ethics read more

Super nice, clean, and friendly people! All the amenities were first rate- including the hook ups for sewer, water, and electricity. The pool and beach was fantastic. You can rent kayaks or yohos (the stand up board with paddles). We used their wifi for everything. It worked well. Make sure you read all the rules. $50 fine for not picking up after your dog. It is the rules that keep the resort so nice. Try to get a site with a view. We liked sitting out, enjoying a great breeze off the water, while watching our kids play in the water. They loved finding crabs. The fiddler crabs are all over the beach after dark- take a flash light and check it out! read more

I would have given this five stars because it is really a clean place and kept well, but it's like they don't want people to stay longer than a month here. When I called and reserved my lot I said 2 months for sure but maybe longer. When I got there a month later it was like they were surprised I was staying for more than a month and then when the month 2 came I said I was going to go ahead and stay another and they said sorry we are full. I would think they would have at least asked us if we wanted to stay longer instead of giving the lot up. Oh well though moved on to another park that doesn't mind we stay long term. read more

excellent place to camp in motorhome or pull camper,,,,we had great time taking our 2 dogs ,,,,,the main beach is across the bridge,,,,we got car rental n enjoyed local seafood restraunts near by,,,,,enjoyed the pool to cool off in the 100 degree heat,,,,,,very beautiful views ,,,we had water front n 31 foot motorhome ,,,backed up and enjoyed it n talking with other guest ,,had nice time! enjoyed cooking out bison steaks and shrimp and sea scallops on our webber camping grill,,,,,one lady walked by n said that smells so good lol,,,,,we really enjoyed this resort,,our first time in motorhome,,,,,everything went great !!!!!! read more
