Before arriving, I even received an email confirming that exact site. When I checked in, I was told they had given my reserved site to someone else and moved me to a different spot. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was to secure that particular location, so this completely defeated the purpose of planning ahead. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled. The manager never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, I was met with an attitude that made it seem like my frustration wasn't justified. A sincere apology and some accountability would have gone a long way. To "make it right," they offered a 20% discount, which honestly felt insulting given that they failed to honor a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. It wasn't about the money--it was about keeping their commitment and treating customers with respect when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable birthday started with disappointment because of the park's poor reservation management and lack of customer service. I hope they improve their processes and, more importantly, learn how to take responsibility when they let their guests down.

If you like to walk and get your steps in, there are plenty of rows to walk. It is all gravel, no cement slabs. You do have full hookup. The site was very quiet and near a small town that had a dollar store and a small store with gas. There is not much to do as the population is around 5K. We did go to two parks to walk our dogs. There was a stream with a beach to hang out at and tube, but no dogs are allowed. However, there was some trails to walk your dogs.

The staff is friendly and make sure that any issues you may have are quickly addressed. It'll definitely be my go-to location to stay when I'm in the area. One side note: The river does flood with lots of rain and you may have to move sites if there's a chance it will spill over. (Staff will let you know) Also, you're allowed two people or there's an additional charge so it could be expensive for a large family.

Only thing wrong was we had a screen room up that simply didn't attach to the awning. It's freestanding which didn't meet their rules for some reason. It was set up and tied down appropriately. We had it to keep the baby out of the sun. Keep in mind it had been up all day without question. They drove but multiple times. Then she requested we move guest vehicles. That's very reasonable. Then barely described where to park them and said oh don't worry about it. They're literally here for dinner only. She only introduced herself when I asked her name and who she was. Apparently, she told some guy we got in her face. I have plenty of witnesses that can say that wasn't true. So he comes over to start more issues. He didn't want to give his name or any information. Finally said he was one of the 3 part owners but refused to give info. Needless to say, awesome park and land but totally not worth dealing with this drama. We have been camping many places and never had anything like this happen. Start a conversation professional and things will go better for us all.
