I decided that I needed a new area rug. Where do I start? I tried the big hardware stores who mainly carry cheap area rugs. The bad part about starting here is that the typical worker in these big stores does not have a deep knowledgeable understanding of rugs. Therefore, your pretty much on your own as your reading the little information tags on back of the rugs. If you do decide to ask questions anyhow, well then be prepared for the deer in headlights look afterwards. This is the low end of rug shopping. I was actually looking for an in between shopping experience, where the rugs are not ridiculously expensive, yet I have someone knowledgeable to speak with. This is exactly what I found at Cozy Rugs. Vedat Karacan who is of Turkish descent was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He explained differences in durability, origins of pattern designs, size of rug needed, and long term care. The store carries a beautiful selection that is amazingly reasonably priced. He showed me many great possibilities. As a result, I am very happy with my selection and shopping experience here. Such a great stop! I've been looking for a rug for my living room since I moved but have had a hard time finding one in the style and size that I'm looking for. I've been looking far and wide for a couple of decent looking, reasonably-priced rugs for my home and have been unsuccessful for years. YEARS! I randomly went into this store because I liked the runner they had displayed outside, but I didn't expect much to come of the visit because I figured everything would be out of my price range. Well, this skeptic went home after 15 minutes with a runner, and I will likely go back for a living room rug. It's a small store, but has a great selection of patterns, from Oriental-style to more modern pieces, in a wide variety of colors. I can't explain how lucky I consider myself for finding this place! I had been online searching and went to a ton of places in store. Nothing. I went to Cozy and the owner (or someone in the family business - has been there for 2 or so years!) was SO INCREDIBLY helpful. He knew every rug in that place and when I would mention a color or anything, he would go right to the rugs that could work. We found a fabulous rug, the prices are more than reasonable, and they reward repeat customers with a discount. We went their with a common friend and were skeptical that this could be really pricey. However our experience was completely opposite. Superb Customer service !! Very friendly , amicable behavior . When we looked at the collections they have .. first thing was "waoo, this is what we were looking for" . When we spoke to Vedant the store owner( hope i got his name correctly) we were much more impressed than before. A very friendly person, ready to listen to all ur needs and also showed all his expertise in matching our color and size needs. The prices were discounted when we finalized our choices. The customer service I received was fantastic. The gentlemen that helped us was very knowledgeable and honest. We were looking at some more expensive handmade rugs but recommended we choose a less expensive one for our bedroom. I went to this rug store based on the positive reviews I had read. The reviews were not wrong!! I have not had such great customer service at any store in a long time. The selection of rugs was excellent, but the help provided by the staff was beyond compare. After narrowing down my choices to two rugs, I purchased one and was told that it could be delivered the next day with no delivery fee. Not only was it delivered the next day for free, but Duman brought both rugs for me to look at in my office to make sure I had made the right choice. I visited this wonderful place for the first time on a whim, as I was going everywhere I could think of in Chicago in search of a decent area rug and at a decent price. I could have spent several thousand dollars on the size and kind of rug I wanted in other places, but ended up spending only a few hundred at Cozy! The customer service was what I always want - pleasant, knowledgeable, but not overbearing. Selection included a little bit of everything - solids, shags, traditional patterns, modern patterns, lots of sizes and shapes. I found I liked most of it, which was unusual as other places I shopped I tended not to like very much of the selection.
