5 stars -- CPAP.com helped me find the way ... I'm no longer dealing with my previous DME provider who serviced me 10 years. My CPAP quit working and I drove to my local Lincare CPAP supplies provider in Chantilly, VA. They told me it would be a week to order, another week+ for new CPAP to arrive, a week+ to be programmed and schedule an appt to issue and to expect ~5 weeks. The Chantilly, VA office offered a "loaner" for $52. I asked if it was sanitized and the girl at the counter assured me that they sanitize the CPAPs before issuance--and that they only had one left, so I needed to decide quickly. I asked how long the $52 fee was good for--girl at counter said as long as I needed. I very specifically asked about sanitization--she assured it would be sanitized. I agreed to loaner charged my debit card. Minutes later, a different clerk informed the loaner was actually $52/month and my insurance wouldn't cover the fee, then they said I could "return to obtain the loaner NEXT WEEK." I began to flip because I paid $52 to get a loaner, now, so I could sleep. They told me they couldn't give it to me the same day because a clinician needed to "set the machine up" with my prescription and the clinicians were busy with other appointments but there was nobody else in the waiting room. I flipped saying give me a break--push/hold 2 buttons and set the pressure and to give it to me and I would set it for them before leaving. They decided they could do it for me. 10 or 15 minutes later, clinician brought the CPAP to me and it was so filthy I didn't want to touch it--it was disgusting! I refused the machine because a predicate for taking it was that it was sanitized. I asked for a supervisor but the clinician said she was the supervisor. I demanded a refund for the loaner. Then they told me that they couldn't--that they needed to contact the central billing office to request my refund and receipt. To their credit, they called later and informed the refund went through and they would mail a receipt. Just 2 weeks earlier, I had significant conflict, again, with the centralized billing department in Florida regarding a fraud problem that rises to the level of reporting to the state insurance fraud bureau, and the state medical board. Many times prior, I had problems with cheap, non-OEM, "Made in China" parts Lincare shipped--parts that didn't fit my CPAP properly. Always a circus dealing with Lincare. Regarding my recent CPAP outage emergency, I resorted to contacting an online vendor, CPAP.com. I had a WONDERFUL experience with CPAP.com. I phoned my order to CPAP.com (Stafford, TX) on Friday at 1:20 PM. They instructed to email my prescription. I provided my credit card. 5 minutes later, I had an order confirmation via email. At 4:15PM, I had received a prescription receipt confirmation and at 5:18PM, I had a FedEx shipping confirmation for delivery by 9:30AM Saturday. My package arrived at 8:40AM on Saturday as promised. My CPAP and all contents were brand new. Consider Lincare needed 3 weeks minimum to deliver the same. I have left Lincare! They have inactivated my account and it's liberating! I'll buy my supplies from CPAP.com out of pocket from now on, which will still be cheaper than the copay after my two insurance companies paid their shares. Imagine for a moment that "a nasal pillow" doesn't really cost $78. Why did I allow Lincare to bill my insurance companies (primary and secondary) all these years, while still charging me a final copay that is nominally less than I could purchase without insurance from CPAP.com And they were charging those prices for non-OEM parts/supplies! Unbelievable! NOTE: I have no affiliation with CPAP.com. I'm just a happy customer that regrets not leaving Lincare sooner and want the world to know about another option. In closing, if it smells like a fish, and flops like a fish, it's not a duck, folks. Leaving Lincare is easy and it is the only way to get their attention. Vote with your feet! 2023-Jan-09 This is Nenad Cuic, my Serbian name. Several months ago my cardiologist, MD, recommended I have a sleep study done as during the yearly routine examination he had detected from the EKG an irregularity in the P-QRS-T, U cariac cycle ideal wave pattern. He also has a PhD in that speciality of the heart's electrical system. An overnight sleep study at the Owensboro Health System hospital revealed that my breathing stopped 41 times on the average per hour. It turns out that more people than we realize die from simply their heart stopping and starting and at some point like a worn out Studebaker, doesn't start up again. So, SLEEP APNEA can be a very serious matter OFTEN overlooked. If you snore on a regular basis, and especially if it is loud, but that is not a requirement, and if you find yourself not refreshed in the morning and this is chronic - then prudence suggests that you get a referral from your GP to see a pulmonary specialist, either it can be an MD, Do, NP (Nurse practicionar) or the MD's doctor assistant who may or may not have a PhD in medicine. Many pathologists and toxicologists have PhD but not MD. It is not requred to have an MD (DO) to be a pathologists. And MD choosing to become a pathologists must study and be tested for that specialty. I was put on a PPAP which is similar to a CPAP, made by the same companny, but the PPAP assists in breathing in both directions, in and out. And this is achieved by correctly programing the equipment for that function per the requirements of the pulmonary specialist prescription. There is a learning curve and there are some important things to know to reduce the chance of damaging the equipment and yourself as well. I can only sum up this new experience by saying that I have not slept as well since I was a teenager. I went from average of 40 sleep/heart interuptons per hour to just 4. You do the math. But if that seems too challenging for you because you went to American public school system, that is a 90 percent drop in breathing/heart interruptions. The person I talked to at CPAP was a Mary B (perhaps Aunt B 's sister) She was very helpful. I found out from Mary B that Amazon does not sell the PPAP system. When I called up Amazon to find out what the procedure was, etc., the nice person on the other end said, "Just order it and if it is not to your liking, well send it back." The problem with that is that these people who answer the phone at Amazon are taught to read from the script as ordered by their superiors (which is by definition an oxymoron). If I had ordered the CPAP as she lady advised and it was not suitable - and I had opened up the box and tried it out - I would have been OUT near $700 rapidly depreciating American dollars because Amazon cannot accept medical equipment as a return item. If you had gone to a good Serbian or Russian school you could figure out why that is so. I bought the correct PPAP per the pulmonary specialist MD prescriiption Rx and am 100% satified. If you went to either a good Serbian or Russian school you would know that 100% satisfaction is a very good target to reach. Dasvadanya! No rite, write, right, etc. But Russian and Serbian do have over 100 words to describe what a single word in American English takes, and that is the word LOVE. CPAP.COM has been my go-to for years when I buy apnea alleviation equipment. They have always done right by me! There only been one small hiccup, and it's mostly my own fault. Now the number of products they have are great. You need something CPAP related, you should go to .. well, you know. Mostly, if you need it, they have it, but some things are out of stock. For example, I use a ResMed Mirage II mask, but RM has discontinued it, so I'll eventually have to retire old faithful. *sigh*. Further, an agent suggested a new mask (an AirFloat.. AirTight.. AirNose... something like that). It has a memory foam pillow... but the pillows (as a CPAP part) are out of stock, so I couldn't get a second one. I can't speak much to value. The prices seem ok to me, but I don't shop around. I'd rather not spend my time looking to save a few dollars. I've got stuff to do! Now.. about that hiccup.. (TL;DR: They didn't change my credit card.) In my recent order of two days ago, I inadvertently used my regular credit card instead of my FSA. I quickly called to have the order updated with the new card number. This took a few minutes because I had to give the info over the phone. The new order number was the same as the old with a "-1" appended delineating one from the other. The order went through and I thought all was ok, but I didn't get a message from my FSA provider and the account balance did not decrease. Hmmm.... When the order shipped it seemed odd that I had still received an indication of payment. WATSON, Get your coat! The game's afoot! Looking at my FSA, there was no charge, but then I found it on my credit card. It took a few minutes to submit the reimbursement, but no big deal. I called CPAP.COM (just to let them know about the error). Here's the goofy part. (Maybe not goofy... but strange. Yes, strange is more apropos. ) When the agent looked at their records, it showed that my FSA was charged, but the receipt clearly shows my credit card being charged. Maybe their system has an error... I don't know. If you ever make and order and need to change the payment, watch your accounts to ensure they get it right. In the end, I have high regard for the company and will continue to use them so I can breeeeaaathe at night. :D read more

Oh I had the best experience!! My apnea had been deemed severe, with over 50 episodes PER HOUR!! Holy cow!! I called and had machines overnighted. Korinne was the persons name at pap.com, and she let me call back and ask for her. But I actually called 2 times, 2 separate orders. 1 for a resmed11 with mask, then another for a travel setup with a mask as well as an additional mask for when my nose is plugged up. Stacy helped me with the resmed11. Then, Korinne actually even called me back to help me know what I needed, since my nose mask was blocked due to congestion, helped me to order a Mini travel setup, facemark AND said I could simply use some sort of apparatus that will allow my new full face mask to be used with both mini travel as well as home machine!! I felt so good about her knowing every single thing, and taking the time to explain to me 3 or 4 times, without getting upset at all. She was wonderful! They both truly were! Im a newbie...so I knew nothing at all about snore machines! The machines are sooo comfortable you truly can sleep without being bothered. I began by hookimg up the machine while I watched tv to get used to it. It was easy! Then, I put the hose barely tucked at my side so it would not pull. It adjusts all the settings automatically for me, does all the work, so easy!! and the pillow mask for HER XS size is perfect for my little nose!!! BUT it included 3 sizes of "nose pillows" theyre called, "nose masks" I call them. My rested kept a diary online, on an app, and said I was 88% successful!! wow!! Yippeee!! I cannot tell you how scary it is to learn my oxygen saturation rate was at 69% while I sleep, at 60 years old, thats not something I want to hear. Now with the full facemark for HER, I sleep better than ever, even when my nose is plugged with allergies etc. Im so very grateful these folks and their patience, kindness and guidance helped get me on a healing path!! First time customer and was having trouble getting the website to process my order. So I called the 800 number and Korinne answered. She was very pleasant, courteous and extremely knowledgeable in helping through the process. I was calling about filters for my Dream Machine by Respironics while dealing with their recall. And in all honestly, I would have never answered their recall had I figured out what they said was wrong compared to my machine (which was a System One). Mine never needed replacing due to the difference in filter parts. But antyway. . Korinne fixed the problem. Got my supplies ordered. Explained things through about the website and was extremely helpful. Korinne even managed to explain through how the differences were in the two systems for the filters that I already could recognize. But was a little confusing about the filters in ordering from old to new and recalled vs good vs bad. And Respironics had all kinds of info, except in this area because the systems were different. And was simply off their radar because it wasn't supposed to be on it to begin with...... Come to find out they sent their replacement unit, Dream Machine, but still kept the defective filter intact and never mentioned for me to order new replacement parts - because it was supposed to have been done at Respironics before being shipped out. And this is something that Korinne realized and had to explain the defect for me and what their solution was. So without Korrine explaining this through - several times I may add - lol, and if i just didn't want to get some backup supplies for the future for my unit, god only knows how many years I might have gone with the defective part in my machine and still breathing it in.... ouch. I have been a 20 year customer of CPAP.COM and have been ordering equipment replacement parts on average about twice a year. Last week I ordered a new ResMed AirSense 11 CPAP machine to replace my 7 year old AirSense 10 that was on its way out. At that time they sent me a confirmation of my order and indicated that I would recieive the new machine in one week, (tomorrow). Today, I was surprised to receive an email from CPAP.COM stating that they had no record of my Doctor's CPAP prescription on file and that I would have to get a new one and were holding up my order until they recieved it. Surprised and frustrated, I called them and spoke with Mary B. in their Customer Service Dept., explaining the reason for my call and saying that that their email request was silly and unnecessary. She checked my order status and told me that their email was sent out in error, and did not know why, since they have a record of my prescription. Then she did inform me that the hypoallergic filters for the AirSense 11 that were part of this order, were back ordered, with an expected receipt date in 3+ weeks from now. Thankfully, she was able to correct and eliminate the HOLD on my order and arranged for expedited shipping the order out today, overnight, for my receipt tomorrow, as originally indicated. She explained that my additional ordered filters will be shipped to me later this month once they receive them back in stock. All in all, a very satisfactory resolution to an SNAFU issue on their part, along with a miscommunication for reason for the delay. Mary B. was efficient, courteous, professional and very pleasant to deal with, for which I was most appreciative . Even though Cpap.com does not accept insurance, my past experiences with other Cpap suppliers working with insurance have been time consuming, frustrating due to long hold times, incorrect charges, over charges, incomplete applying of payments made to my account etc., make working with Cpap.com more than worthwhile. Their website is a bit glitchy e.g. some items for sale do not show on their website and you can't just "reorder" from a previous order. In such cases you need to contact a phone representative. Chat is available. So far wait times for chat has been a few minutes at the most. Most recently Daryl not only requested a representative to call me to assist with my order but recommended we stay connected on chat until I was connected to a call. Daryl kept me apprised of the wait time and only disconnected once I was on the phone with a representative. This was excellent service above and beyond. Then Agnes helped put the items in my cart and let me know if I spent another $5 I would be eligible for free shipping. When ready for check out we were disconnected and she called me back to be sure I did not need further assistance. I recommend you stay on with a representative until you are sure the order went through and all charges are correct because I had to recontact a representative when I noticed the sales discount applied to the item on the website but not the additional item the Agnus added to my cart manually. Kayla made the correction easy and applied the refund for the sales discount. With the periodic sales discounts the prices are often close to and sometimes less than what I would have paid if they had taken insurance.
