I wouldn't recommend CPR for any kind of repairs. This business is a scam to say the least and the customer service is awful! My daughter had her Apple laptop screen repaired and was charged 343.19. Not less than a month, the laptop screen stopped working. My daughter was told the screen would be covered under the warranty but must be sent off to their Tech department to confirm CPR is at fault. She was told it would take a max of 3-weeks to confirm if repairs would be covered under warranty. However, it has been well over 3-weeks. My daughter laptop has been repaired but CPR is requiring that she pay an additional 200.00 but she would be reimbursed once CPR Tech has completed their investigation. I asked to speak with the manager and was told I could only email the manager. The CPR associate, Natilie stated she wasn't allowed to give out the Manager's number which, further solidify this company has unethical and is designed to beat customers out of their money. Do not trust this business. They promised that an iPhone battery replacement would be effective, would not provide a refund when it was not, and said that the reason the replacement was not effective was because of the inability of the iPhone's 2020 CPU to power Apple's current 2024 iOS (i.e., they knew from the beginning that a battery replacement would not in fact be effective, but took my money anyway). If this happens to you, small claims court is the option for compelling a refund. read more

***RUN*** I took a chance at trying this place place based on the reviews on Yelp and Google. You literally have much better odds of buying a repair kit on Amazon, and using " I fix it" dot com. If you're going to send it off, send it to ifixyouri. I had several devices for my employer and 3 of 12 came back working. (They all worked before, but had a crack in the glass or a headphone end stuck in a jack.) When we got them back, one was bent backwards, and glass wasn't seated on any of them. Touch didn't work on half of the screens on multiple of the devices when delivered back to us. They reused my 1/3 of my packing materials, but a smaller used amazon box instead of the double walled box I provided. We contacted the owner (whom cold-called me in the first place) and he asked us to send them back. He never checked them himself, even the second time. We listed the issues and included photos (I document everything) of the before, and after, and the second after. I had video as well, but it wasn't necessary. I'm very detailed. He literally told me on the phone he buys the parts off amazon. They are literally the cheapest parts and the amount of goo that is left under the glass and above the display is unacceptable. I've worked with tablets since the iPads came out in 2010. This isn't the first time I've had to send some off for repair. This is the first time I've had to send something in twice, let alone send them in twice AND THEN to a different company to get fixed. RUN RUN RUN away. Now if it's your phone and you are there in person, you have a good shot since like 90% of the reviews are about phones and reviews tend to be good. If it's anything but a phone, run away. If it is a phone...i won't go here, but I can't speak to their quality of phone repair in particular. read more

Management is absoultely horrible. Sad when the employees know more then the management team. Wouldnt recommend going here if management is around. If you do go ask a manager to fix your phone and the chances of it actually being fixed are slim to none. Location isnt in a good spot as well. Hard to find. Prices are overpriced for screen repairs when most of the time you can purchase a used device for less then a screen repair. But dont purchase the device from there as the prices are high. Shop around at different repair places. You will get your phone fixed at a lesser cost and walk out knowing it's going to be repaired properly and you werent overcharged. Poor customer service from the red headed employee. Was very belittling when it can to explaining an issue with a device that still isn't working. Also very upset that one of my devices was "recycled" after it was found unable to be repaired by the shop. Was given a guarantee that both devices would be kept together and the unrepairable one would not be "recycled". Quality of replacement screen was poor which caused the display to be very dull and discolored. Adjusting color settings helped some but my phone has lost the vibrant iPhone display. Within about two months of the screen being replaced, I noticed the side appeared to be coming unglued. I took it back in to have it repaired since I was told they guaranteed their work for a full year but was informed unless the screen became unusable then they wouldn't replace or repair it. My wife's iPhone was acting up where it would say it was fully charged, then it would drop down to about 60% after an hours use and simply turn off. Once the phone was plugged in to charge it would boot up and come back on around the 70% mark in minutes. With her being pregnant and driving by herself it was important that we get this resolved fast. Within 1 hour the technician was able to diagnose it as a bad battery and put a new one in. She has not had the issue since. I am happy about the fast turn around time and the cost was very fair to make the phone function like new. read more

I would never recommend anyone to bring their Apple Products here. To sum up my experience: unprofessional, slow to complete repairs, poor communicators, impersonal, and they will not do (in my experience) what you agree upon being done. I brought my mac book pro here August 2014. I have a mid-2010's macbook pro that needed some upgrades for memory because of slow/poor performance. The first time I brought my computer in I was told to come back on another day because their computer "expert" wasn't in. He told me it was possibly my hard drive, but to come back on a specific day where he knew a computer technician would be available. I came back in on "said day" and I was told to leave my computer here and they would look at it and tell me what it needed. When I asked about when I would get my computer back, I got a very vague basically, "we don't know," answer. In about three hours I got a call that they thought it needed more memory. After talking about different options, I decided that I wanted to add the max amount of memory possible to maximize my computer's performance. In order for them to do that I was going to have to leave my computer with them for another week to wait for the parts to come in OR pay half now and schedule another time for them to complete the installation of the RAM. Never mind the fact that NO one mentioned that this is how their service worked. Because I had made plans to leave my computer with them for the day - not for the week or however long it took for memory to come in - I opted to pay half and bring my computer in when the memory was ready. When I brought my computer home after the "assessment," the "technician" left all the webpages and computer specs up on my mac. I was able to see exactly how much the memory cost their store, estimated delivery, and my own computer specs. And to add further frustration, they had a webpage up that showed (for the same price) Best Buy (literally down the street) had the memory needed available and in stock at the Lawrence store. I could have frigggin bought the memory for them and for them and had it fixed sooner if they even bothered to offer that... (or you know stock up themselves). Completely unprofessional and aggravating. But on to my last experience: I bring my computer in for what I think is the last time for it's upgrade. What was agreed upon was my computer going from 2GB to 8GB of ram. But AFTER I dropped my computer off, and AFTER they look at the part they got in the mail, they call me to say they only have 4GB to install and is that okay. At this point I'd about had it. I'd already been to their store three times - without my computer in their hands (unusable) for about two days. I was about to move in a week, and I just wanted my computer fixed. The guy on the phone agreed to taking off $20 bucks of my bill. (How kind since that's what the exact cost of the upgrade to 8GB would have been?) Do yourself a favor - go somewhere else for computer repairs. read more

They charged me $90 to replace a screen, took a full week later than promised, botched the replacement altogether and then refused to repair or refund the work. They literally jacked me out of $90. I wish I could leave less than one star. I also wish I had seen these reviews before we tried this place. Buyer beware indeed. We took our daughter's IPad in to repair a cracked screen. When we got it back, it felt weird (the button no longer pushed properly and glass didn't seem set right). Within a day, the device started shutting down within seconds of being turned on. We sent it back and after weeks (they had to order parts), we got it back again. This time it stayed on, but the screen clearly wasn't mounted properly. Within a few weeks it spontaneously cracked, something that apparently happens when screens aren't set right. The cracks continue to spread and grow worse. They took our device that was cracked and broke it beyond repair. They charged us $200 for the privilege. There are really no words. read more

I have to say that Dustin here at I Guru is honest and straightforward about what he can do for you and your computer. I brought in an older MacBook Pro Retina 2011 and was desperate to find a solution to fix it. Apple stores just turned me away trying to sell their newest thing, I came to I guru to get his opinion on what was wrong and low and behold it was something that no one could fix,, my GPU among other things was busted.. As a photographer, Im in contact need of my computer and graphics tools. He could have totally taken me to the cleaners and billed me for all kinds of things but he was straight forward and honest. He answered all my questions without getting frustrated, like some other places. After doing some research on my renters policy, I found that I had computer coverage on it,, he was more than happy to provide documentation I needed to file my claim. I now have a new computer and I will be going to him from now on :). I had my phone fixed a month ago. New screen and battery. One month later the screen pops off (I dropped it) & battery flies out. It opened from the bottom, laying on the ground I can clearly see the screen the battery (only attached by the cord) and the body. Took it back for repair & was told that since I pushed it back together I voided the warranty. This just didn't feel right. Took with me on a work trip to NYC. There I found a place, they fixed it while I waited. This place told me that if the screws had been put in properly when I had it fixed the screen would have never opened from the bottom. They also said a battery does not "come out" unless it was not properly installed. This firm tapes their batteries down (I watched the entire repair). While at the other repair shop they asked if I was haing trouble with the "home" button, which I just thought the phone was going out, nope it had been installed poorly. Once again, thanks IGurus. In short IGurus cost me some $140 (ish) for a fraudulent repair. They didn't put the screws in properly, didn't tape the battery down, installed the home button wrong and didn't explain the warranty. By the way, the firm in NYC was less expensive (and gave me a new camera/mic for FREE). read more

Not sure why the reviews are so poor on Yelp, but the folks at iGurus treated me very well. I brought in a computer with a short in it caused by a water spill. They were respectful (didn't act like I'm a stupid Apple owner), and they didn't stop until they found the problem. I happen to be quite familiar with electronics -- I have built my own computers -- and I know that they could have diagnosed a number of components as the problem and charged me for the labor without me being the wiser, but they were honest with me. The problem was simply a corroded ribbon connector, and they cleaned it and got everything working for free. Try getting that at any other computer repair shop! read more

My 12 yr old kept getting a pop up message with a number to call to get this problem 'resolved'. Apparently, he acquired some adware (so they told me) to his MacBook Air. When we walked into iGurus we were helped immediately. I gave the guru a very basic description of what was going on. He fixed our issue and explained to us how to fix this type of problem if it ever happens again. He did this in about 3 minutes and did not charge us. My iPhone had some significant water damage and, since I lease it, I needed to turn that *particular* phone back in at the end of my contract--replacement was the very last thing I wanted. I went to iGurus as a last-ditch rescue operation and I can't recommend them highly enough. They were up front about the flat $60 fee to take a look at my phone, kept me updated about potential costs as they diagnosed the issues, and gave me choices about how much functionality I was willing to sacrifice in order to keep costs down. These are guys you can trust; they care about solving your problem within your financial parameters. This and much more describes my 103 day and $503 stint with iGurus that left me with a frankenstein computer that I was forced to sell and purchase a new one. DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE!!!!!! Yeah they may be able to put a new screen on your iPhone but they will destroy a computer. I had a 2 year old MacBook Pro that, possibly 1/5 times of usage, would randomly freeze for aprox. 20 seconds at a time. I was wanting it to be 'checked out' before purchasing more Adobe products to put on it. I contact iGurus for service and was told to bring in my computer and did so. I was told it needed new RAM memory. ..... They replaced the RAM memory, Logic board, hard drive, the keyboard and top case twice, and lastly the charging port. It was a downhill slide of mishaps and idiotic excuses from day one with these turds. I was told that my hard drive was bad, they replaced it and crushed my original one with a hammer. They told me this! No information was backed up or was attempted to be recovered (direct failure of my instructions)! It almost seemed they were just randomly choosing what part to deem dysfunctional next. What was lost on my computer due to the incompetence of iGurus - iTunes with aprox. 5,000 song library - fontbook with aprox. 100 personalized fonts purchased and downloaded - all personalization to computer - Adobe Photoshop - Adobe Lightroom - Microsoft Office - more than 3,000 photographs - hundreds of personal documents - accounting spreadsheets - aprox. A hundred hours of unfinished labor intensive projects Again, this debacle took 103 days (9/2/15-12/15/15) only for me to be returned a computer that ran the same, if not worse than when I originally brought it in and had none of my original information. At the end of it all, due to the nature of how I use my computer, I simply couldn't use a faulty computer so was forced to sell my Frankenstein mac and buy a new one. read more

I did give a 5 star review but noticed it has been removed. Which I will be making calls to figure out on why. My last review stated how a certain employee was amazing and the reason why I would go back to the store. And that the store continues to lose business due to the employees being treated unfairly. So they chose to leave. There is a saying that bad reviews and word of mouth spreads more when its negative then positive. There is many employees who has worked for this company that can tell you how they were treated and none of them were good. If the store treats their employees like that they might as well close down. I use to go here alot for repairs and stopped and was told there was a new repair person who did great work. So I took the chance and was satisfied. But customer service is important and without that and knowledge of electronics this store is doomed. Many other options out there then this store that are a guarentee of good customer service and repairs. Why would they have a review removed if it was 5 stars makes no sense to me. I took my laptop to them thinking it was in really bad trouble, but it was a simple fix. The tech didn't even charge me. My husband is getting ready to take in a desktop to be fixed, because they were so honest and helpful. I was happy because the process should only take 5-10 minutes and is fairly simple. When I arrived the next day the price quoted to me was $60. I will never go back. read more

Do not waste your money here! They use cheap glass to replace IPhone glass screens. I also brought in the back screen, which was an apple certified replacement, when I took it in to replace the front screen. When I got the phone back I realized the back screen wasn't the one I brought in. It was a cheap replacement. I went back and was told the one I brought in had "dirt stuck in the side" so they used one of theirs. I would not acccept the cheap replacment and had them replace it with the one I brought. Luckily I noticed it. A week after the repair the front screen cracked. The glass they use is very cheap. The owner said they would not replace it. I would have to pay again. Spend the time to go to a dealer that uses certified apple replacement products. They cost about the same. You may have to drive to the KC area but its worth it. Bad business!!! I've gotten my phone fixed here 3 times and every time the screen has never sat completely flush with the rest of the phone, and I don't think the screens are of the best quality either. Each time I've brought my phone in the people are very nice and helpful, but one minor drop with a case on shouldn't be enough to damage the lcd. The screen doesnt even crack it's just the display that gets all glitchy. I would suggest going somewhere that uses apple certified screens. read more
