Update to my previous review: Well, I have to say that this company went to great lengths to make me a happy customer! After calling and complaining about my iPhone that was returned to me and wouldn't even turn on, I received a call from the company asking if I would please send my phone back in for someone else to check it. I was told that if they determined it could not be repaired, they would send me another iPhone at no charge. So I sent it back and in a few days received a call saying that my phone could not be repaired and a replacement would be sent. About a week later, I received a new working phone! It took a good bit of time, but in the end, Iresq went out of their way to make me a satisfied customer. I'm very pleased and would use them again! The next time my phone goes for a swim, I'm sending it in to them right away! read more

This company would not give me a refund for work never completed. They require prepayment and when I decided not to move ahead they refused to give me a refund. I called 5 times and was told on all separate accounts that a manager would call me back because they changed accounting systems and only a manager access the old system. I never once received a call back. After calling again three years later, I finally got an email saying too much time has passed and they will not refund me. How can they keep someone's money for a service never provided? This is illegal in many states and the business is suppose to report unearned revenue to the state or refund the customer. Updating: I was contacted by iresq while they were closed. They owned up to the problem immediately and offered to completely cover any and all repairs. They explained the problem, how it happened and the steps they are taking to ensure it never happens again. They did an investigation and saw a recording of an employee dropping the laptop. from the box I packed it in. They have changed the procedure and now move it into padded boxes as soon as it enters the building. As a way to keep people honest they've started to photograph all products in the condition they come into the shop. This will remove any ambiguity of what happened in their shop. I like it because it also would give me evidence if the shipper damages the product. I believe in second chances and a story of making things right is better than things going as expected. I am leaving my old post up to show the yin and yang. I was very upset and this company took huge steps to rectify the situation with me. --------------------------------------------- Destroyed my laptop. I apparently selected the wrong screen repair, was told to pay the difference. I promptly paid them. A few days later they told me they forgot to include the taxes and wanted me to give them more money. Understandable, but I'm upset that once again I'm coming out of pocket to get my computer back. Then, I get the thing back. The screen has been bent, severely. So badly in fact I have to force the screen open. The bottom case is damaged too, as I cannot even use one of the two usb ports on the computer. One could say it was damaged in shipment, but it wasn't. One, the screen is bent but the case around that corner of the screen is fine. Two, the bottom case is bent in two places, but the bottom piece bolted to it is perfectly fine. It's obvious that this damage happened while the laptop was in pieces. I tried to contact them during their business hours and they are closed. Oh and the kicker, they changed my password. Nothing like paying an ever increasing dollar amount to get your computer fixed, having it come back damaged, and then being locked out of your own computer. read more

Incompetent or dishonest, you be the judge. I purchased a MacBook Pro from Adorama.com and New Leaf Warranty which said that my computer would be serviced by "Pre-Screened & Manufacturer Authorized Service Providers". After about 18 months, my computer broke down and I called New Leaf which sent me a shipping box and sent my computer to iResQ. For the record, they are NOT Apple Authorized, although I understand that they are in no way responsible on Adorama's website. A week later, I called iResQ for a status update and was told that my battery had gone bad and that, surprise!, my New Leaf warranty does not cover batteries. Now, I'm not a newbie. I've been using Macintoshes since 1984 and I know when a battery goes bad and when it's something much, much worse. Besides, I'd already checked with a genuine Apple Certified Consultant and already knew what the real problem was. Many phone calls later, I get my computer back and take it directly to the Apple Store for service. They replace the LOGIC BOARD and not the battery, which is what I knew it to be all along, despite iResQ insisting that the logic board was fine. So, was iResQ in collusion to cheat me out of service with the warranty provider who sends them a lot of business? Or are they so incompetent that they can't distinguish between a logic board and a battery? Here's a clue: I had given them authorization to erase my hard drive as part of the service and they did, but they didn't bother to reinstall OSX. read more

I have an ANCIENT PowerBook and I had what I thought was an inverter board problem. A friend recommended iResQ. I got a quote through their instant chat function, ordered the box and sent it in two weeks ago. It turns out that it *wasn't* the inverter board, but they forgot to call me to approve the additional work. HOWEVER!!! They stuck to their original quote, ate the remainder and shipped Ye Olde PowerBooke back. I'm writing this review on it RIGHT NOW. You guys, I love a business that sticks to their quote, sticks to their word, and doesn't stick the customer. Someday I'll have something serious go wrong with one of my dozen or so Apple products... and I'll send 'em off to iResQ without a second thought. read more

Fabulous!! I couldn't have asked for a better turn out. My husband's iPod had lost the sound out of 1 side of the headphones. We replaced the headphones, and it turned out to be the jack inside the iPod. SO disappointed, he had only had the iPod for a bit over a year, all his music loaded from his cd's...etc. I did a search on repairing, and saw in a blog some reviews on this place - took a chance...what was worst that could happen? I would have to replace the iPod? Sent the iPod out overnight on Monday. On Tuesday morning I received their email saying they received it. Tuesday evening, they sent me another notice that it was fixed! They shipped it UPS on Wednesday, and we had it back on the speakers by Thursday!! Works great, and it has a 90 day warranty on their work! All for $58! Sure beats paying another $300 for a new iPod. Thanks iResQ!! read more

*Service and return speed get FIVE STARS from me!* I had my Macbook Air screen replaced-- sent it overnight and they repaired it the next day and shipped it back on the same day. I was ecstatic since the estimate for completion was ~5 business days from receipt. The only thing that kind of upset me was that they returned my laptop in a box that wasn't marked fragile. Not cool. It turned out to be padded on the inside, however, the box had a medium-sized hole in it that actually punctured the padding. Had it been a few inches more toward the center, that could have been a dent in my laptop (the padding does not cover the top. Even with the padding, it could be worth having the return package labeled properly. I guess if it had been broken again...I would have sent it back to you guys. ;) read more

I called them before leaving our house to see if they could replace my daughters iPhone 5 screen while we went to lunch and they were like NO PROBLEM!! We dropped it off and it was ready when we returned from lunch! Plus with our Groupon you really couldn't beat the price! This my favorite ipod fix it shop. They took their time to make sure my ipod was fixed properly and it works great now. The fix was extensive and even tho I had to replace my ipod library on this device, it was ok. I am so glad that the staff is professional and helpful before you incur the cost. They make suggestions and ate there to help. Finding a reputable company to repair old ipod classics is hard to find and I would highly recommend IResQ. read more

They were great to work with and my system came back in fine shape, but the replacement screen on my 15" Macbook Pro didn't even make it one year before having to now be replaced again. I'm choosing to send it out to Apple this time since I can be sure they stand behind their parts for more than 6 months... Nothing really changed, but I'm bumping the review purely because they've since contacted me and actually looked more carefully into my issue. I'm sure they'd have made a real effort to help me further had I not gone to Apple so quickly to get my work system back up and running. read more

I had them replace an ipod 5th gen battery. Service was fast but the battery was completely dead within 5 months. Their warranty is 90 days only. They should offer a longer warranty than that on a battery. They blamed their battery supplier. I suggested to them that they find a better batter supplier. read more

I had a very strange experience with this company. I sent my iPad mini, with cracked screen otherwise working fine, for repair. When they received the item they immediately contacted me and explained they could not do the repair as advertised, but they would sell me a replacement iPad mini for $300. When i told them no thanks they immediately reduced the price to $270!!! In addition they would keep my cracked screen iPad mini! It does not take long to reach the conclusion these guys are in the business keep broken iPads, fix them and resell to unsuspecting customers. My advice with this experience is to any future potential customer, be carefull!!! read more

After stepping on my girlfriends laptop the other day I had to pay to get it repaired. I know, stupid boyfriend :/ Immediately I began searching for cheaper screen repair services than Apple ($700+) and I saw a bunch of people recommending iResQ on some message board. So after finding a few different places that all seemed pretty legit, iResQ was the cheapest (they actually were having some sort of sale that put them at like $100 less than the other places). I got next day shipping all around, which means they send the box for the laptop next-day with a return label that's next-day and then they send it back after the repairs... next-day. Once they got the laptop we received an email confirmation as well as words from the technician who had noticed some other damage on the laptop, that I am indirectly responsible for as well :(, and an offer to fix that. We said no just cause we didn't want to spend extra money but I thought that was a really cool feature. We then got confirmation that it was sent out that same day! They received the laptop, fixed it, and sent it out all in less than 24-hours. The repair is perfect, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if Apple did it themselves. Now I know for people who have warranties that an outside company repair and/or replace of parts can void that so make sure you know the ins and outs of your apple information first. read more

My son dropped his iPod Touch and cracked the screen. I tried to find a local provider who was an authorized Apple repair facility. I had no luck. Based on online reviews, I sent the iPod off to iResQ. It has been awhile since a company really wowed me with customer service, but iResQ did. The payment and shipping process was easy, I got notifications about the process, and they took less than 24 hours to do the repair. The iPod looks great. Thanks iResQ. Sent my iPod Touch 5g to them for a Home button repair. Received prompt notice when they received it and two hours later was notified it was fixed and would be shipped out. The repair seems to have been done well: the button works much like new and the price was reasonable - downright inexpensive compared to Apple! Only two complaints: I mailed the iPod to them in a box, inside of a flat rate USPS Priority Mail envelope. They mailed it back to me in the same box, but via First Class(slower) shipping even though what they charged me for return shipping would have covered Priority. Not a big issue, though. A little more of an issue were the scrapes/scratch marks on the side of the iPod when I received it back. The 5g Touches are incredibly difficult to get open, so I feel for people that have to do it all day. Nonetheless, I would have thought that some precautions would be taken to not damage the exterior of the iPod while opening it. They are small scratches, though. Overall I would use this company again and recommend them to others. read more

I dropped my ipod touch in water, and it hadn't been turned on since then. So, I sent the ipod to iResQ for free diagnostic test. Their answer was that it would cost more than $300 to repair. The operator lady was very nice. If she wasn't that nice, i would give only one star. I thought I should just give up on this ipod touch and throw it away. But it's ipod touch!! I can't simply give up, so I sent it to another ipod repair service company(I shouldn't mention the company's name here), and what they told me was "Your ipod is working fine. Tell me what the problem is." I just got it back from the repair company today, and yes, it's working fine. I think my charger was broken. Very simple problem and solution isn't it? I don't know why iResQ couldn't find out that it works fine, and told me that it would cost $300 to change parts. It seems that other people, the other reviewer here and you can also find testimonials on their website, are satisfied with their service. So, I suggest you to take free diagnostic test first, and decide to ask them for repair service or not. They might be good at fixing display...I don't know... read more

My IPod Classic needed the audio jack replaced. There are directions and videos online for DIYers but it quickly became clear that it was too tricky a procedure for me. My local shop said they could do it but they would have to order the part and it would cost $150. Then I discovered IResQ. The online process was simple and straightforward. I answered a few questions, gave them payment information, and printed out an order form to mail with the device. Turnaround was almost immediate. Within about a week I had a perfectly working IPod and the fix cost about $60, including the shipping both ways. I received tracking emails all along the way. This was amazing. I dropped my phone right before I left for my flight to college, so I wasn't able to go to the Apple Store and try to get my phone replaced. When I called the Apple help line, they told me it would be $200 to replace my phone or repair it. After some research, I decided to send it in to iResQ instead of Apple. It was the best choice I could have made! Including shipping (I paid extra for overnight shipping on the way back, and priority shipping to Kansas), It came to about $130, about 70 bucks cheaper than Apple would have been. I was super nervous about mailing my phone away somewhere, but the service was incredibly prompt. I put it in the mail Friday late afternoon, and was told it would arrive on Monday. I honestly would give this place 10 stars if I could. I'm normally the kind of person who thinks that trading money for services is about as far as this relationship should go. However, this experience was unbeliebable, for lack of a better adjective. I sent in my cracked iPad on Saturday afternoon from Arizona. I received a confirmation that my iPad was received on Monday. I fully expected a call or email on Tuesday to let me know that what I paid for wasn't enough (forever fearful consumer that I am, I'm always on guard for the upsell) to do what I initially paid for. NOPE. I received a note on Tuesday telling me it was all done and it was on its way home. Before I could even think about when I could expect to get it back it was in my hands on Thursday. Whaaa? Again, expecting to be mangled in some way, I was sorely disappointed to find out it was perfectly fixed and in pristine condition. Patronize this company if my experience was anything like anyone else's. It's tough to find reliable people in this space and after sending my iPad across the country to some place I only found online hopefully someone will read this and know their item is in good hands. read more

Don't use them if you still have Apple Care warranty in effect. I had a MacBook Pro with a cracked LCD. Obviously not covered by Apple Care. These guys show they are an Apple Authorized Service Provider, use genuine Apple parts etc. They fix it. 3 months later, had an issue and Apple checked it out. LCD shorted the logic board, but warranty is VOID because a 3rd party LCD was in there ! Don't act like you're all legit, then do knock off parts etc. Kind of a shady outfit. :( read more

As most people were, I was very skeptical of iResQ. I was so skeptical that I even thought that the reviews on iResQ may have been fabricated. After accidentally slamming my mom's MacBook close with my earphones in between and cracking the LCD screen, my only two options were either to pay Apple close to a thousand dollars and wait approximately a month (if not longer), or take a chance with iResQ and pay $179. I chose the latter. (I chose $40 shipping but there were much less expensive options. The option I chose covered the cost of an empty box for shipping the laptop, the cost to ship the box to my house, the cost to ship the [6 lb.] laptop to iResQ, and the cost of shipping to receive the laptop back) Two days later (Friday), in the mail, I received a box custom made for laptops. It came with lots of adjustable but secure padding, and it also contained a bag to place the laptop inside of before placing it in the box (I suspect this was to protect to computer from any strong magnets that may come close to the computer during shipment, magnets can severely damage [or even erase all] the files on the hard drive). I shipped the box out on Monday, I tracked the package about every hour of the day using UPS online tracking. iResQ received the laptop on Thursday morning. On UPS tracking you are able to see who signed for the package and I was also contacted by email from iResQ and UPS that iResQ received the laptop. I was charged $9 for the fix and they shipped it back out by Thursday evening. On Friday I was able to give my mom her laptop back looking good as new! THANK YOU SO MUCH iResQ! Also, if it means anything, I accidentally left a CD in the CD Slot and forgot it was there until I received the laptop back. The CD was still in perfect condition and doesn't seem like they touched it. read more

The audio jack on my 160gb classic ipod stopped working correctly. Sound was only coming out of one side of the speakers/earphones. After some careful searching through the internet, I found this place. I was a little worried to send my ipod to them, not really knowing the company, but I am impressed with the results! My ipod is fixed, and the turn-around was very quick! Everything was still intact when I received it back (case/songs), and the package I sent it in is the one it was returned in. However the women i spoke to originally on the phone was very rude and if they just sent me a return label(like i requested) to send my ipad back to them to do the repair again all of this could have been avoided. Cracked Glass on MacBook Pro during trip (bumped while inside not padded enough sleeve). Searched for options via web, found a few highly rated local shops then searched a little more & found iRQ. Based on Yelp reviews, better pricing even with next day air x3......I went with it. Ordered w/shipping box which arrived next day. I delayed shipping because it's my only web tool but let it go on a Tuesday and it arrived back to me on Thurs........so it was repaired same day as promised.....now that is refreshing. P.S. I will never use iResQ again, and here is why: I cracked my iPad Mini screen and sent it to iResQ to be repaired per my insurance company, Worth Ave Group. The iPad came back with a non-working power button, the home button was installed incorrectly (very loose and not seated correctly), and the screen was loose. It would click when you tapped on it. I sent it back to have them fix their shoddy work. It came back with the buttons fixed but now it has dust under the screen that was not there before. Also, the screen they replaced the cracked one with seems to be lower quality than the original screen. MUCH more pixelated and the glass is wavy. On top of their bad work, each repair took a week and their customer service was very poor. Whomever answers the phone had little info, nor care, about my repairs. Very unprofessional. I'll just live with the dust under the screen because I'm not letting these folks touch my iPad again. Maybe I'm the exception, but after 2 repairs and they still can't get it right? Lesson learned.
