This was my third time renewing my BLS license for work, and my second time coming to CPR St. Louis. Once again, I had a great experience. The class was organized, informative, and efficient without feeling rushed. The instructors are knowledgeable, approachable, and make the material easy to follow, even for people who might be nervous about CPR. Because of my past positive experience here, I have sent several of my coworkers to this location, and they have all had great things to say as well. My instructor, Sara, was very informative and explained very thoroughly the "step by step" procedures for CPR for adult, child, and baby. They offered 1-on-1 scenarios often relative to each student's professional/personal reason for training to get you thinking of what to look for and do in different situations. Students also got lots of on-hands practice and multiple chances to demonstrate CPR and First-Aid individually with instructors to improve technique. A lot of material was covered but it was in a format that was easy to understand and repeated just enough to make it easy to remember. The instructors were great! read more

The instructors at CPR St. Louis are super friendly, passionate, and easy going. They emphasize the idea of learning and understanding the material, not just passing the test. This class is comfortable and you will NOT be put on the spot or made to feel embarrassed in any way! I renewed my BLS CPR for healthcare providers and was pleasantly surprised to see that each student got their own table and individual adult mannequin, baby mannequin, and AED. They even dressed all the mannequins, which was super cute. I've renewed several times at other places in the past, but this experience was by far the best--very informative, but also efficient and to the point. We got out in a painless 3 hours 15 minutes. They kept it moving the whole time. They even provided water, coffee, and snacks. I really appreciated the simple online registration. Also that our cards were emailed to us within 2 hours of the end of class. Oh! And if you refer a friend, tell them to provide your name when they register and you get a $20 check in the mail! I had an incredible experience my first time here, but unfortunately will not be returning. Today I had my CPR renewal class, and unfortunately put the time wrong in my calendar. I showed up an hour late thinking it was the start time, and was met with hostility upon arrival. I had even called on my way to tell them I would be a couple minutes late (not knowing it was actually over an hour), to which a lady on the phone told me "no worries." Once the instructor told me of my mistake, I apologized profusely and understood that I would not be able to join -- yet I was humiliated by him in front of the entire class as he continued to tell me how disruptive I was being with 0 sympathy. I almost didn't show up in the first place, as I was so upset with my just released MCAT score that I almost skipped.... that was the icing on the cake. So I renewed my BLS CPR for Healthcare providers here a few months ago and I was yet again, a very pleased customer. Unfortunately I do not remember the instructor's name (Mike? Matt?) but I do know he worked as an EMT, very knowledgeable and even taught me some things I didn't know or hadn't seen .. And I've been a hospital RN since Jan 2011! Even though nobody ever looks forward to spending hours on a CPR renewal class, this company makes it an enjoyable & educational experience and I can't recommend them enough. I've been CPR certified for about 10 years now and I really feel that, if you aren't regularly performing CPR in your field, it takes a few classes (renewals) for it to REALLY click and become second nature. So, that being said, even though this was a renewal, there were several people who had a really hard time "getting it" (practicing on the mannequins) and the instructors 1) didn't let them slip through the cracks & certainly made sure they learned how to do it right (as this is an important skill that could one day save a life!) but more importantly, I feel, 2) the instructors didn't single anyone out and make them feel bad for not getting it right on the first try. It's a really relaxed environment. Recently I lost my card and contacted them by email about a replacement. They responded quickly and mailed it that day. Again, 5 star company! read more

Class size was small, we were able to work through the scenarios as a team and I didn't feel like I was being tested at all! Had to renew my BLS and ACLS certifications. I found this place which lets you renew both on the same day. The teachers make it is as quick as possible while making sure you know the important facts. I took this class on the advice of my dad, who wanted me to take this class since heart disease runs in the family. I am sooo glad that I took his advice. I learned sooo much from this class! Very informative & helpful class! The instructor uses a hands-on approach & goes over the material very well. The class was filled with EMT & pre-nursing students. But, it's also good for the layperson to learn how to do CPR. The certificate is good for 2 years, & there's a multiple choice exam at the end of class. In this class, you learn how to perform CPR on an adult, infant & child and how to operate a AED (automatic external defibrillator). The class wasn't expensive (less than $100) & was well worth the couple of hours & money! Learning how to save a life is worth the money & time. read more

While I have not taken a class with CPR St Louis, I recently signed up for one and paid to be re-certified in BLS. However, a few days later, I found out my workplace would be offering certification for free. I emailed CPR STL and they responded promptly, stating they would refund my money for the class. In this day and age, that's unheard of. Great service! read more
