Went to CPR Fun last Saturday for my Pediatric CPR and first aid recertification. The price was reasonable and everyone was very friendly and professional. The instructor was knowledgeable and thorough but still got right to the point which is important when you are spending hours in a class. There was enough supplies for everyone to have hands on practice and I really did leave feeling confident in my skills. I will definitely be back when it is time to renew my certification and I will recommend CPRfun to anyone who asks me where they should go. By the way, this is a family run business and it shows. This was listed as a service provider that accepted the YMCA Grant for preventative health and safety courses. When I called in the first time they told me very confusing answers about accepting the voucher. I asked for a call back they never called me back. I called again and another woman ask me the same question I had asked her over the phone how do I use a voucher. Then she refused to find me somebody else that could give me a clear answer and responded that she knew the process because she has been there for a very long time. Came here for a CPR/First Aid course. I really liked the CPR and AED training, the instructor Lanesha was friendly/professional and fun at times (which made the time go by a bit quicker and more enjoyably). However I will say that I was disappointed that the first 35 minutes of the class is just watching an episode of Bondi Rescue (and another BBC reality rescue show). It felt like way too long to be sitting and watching a tv show, and was mostly done just so they could wait for extra attendees to arrive/fill out forms. I'm sure there's a more expedited way to do that process so that students don't have to waste their time watching tv for so long (like perhaps a 5 or 10 minute video of a rescue would suffice?). So anyways! Be prepared to wait a long while for the actual class to start, and I suggest bringing a snack or lunch since the total class time was 4 hours. read more

I really like this place because they actually take their time with training. I'm not a fan of those 2-4 hr sessions that I've seen some classes offer. This is real life, People shouldn't take shortcuts or run through important training that involves saving someone's life and this school doesn't do that which I respect and have faith in. I took a class at this school back in 2008 for BLS. There prices are great. Another thing, their website is simple and easy to either set an appointment or just walk in since they display their set schedule for each class. These are permanent schedules since this is their main real job, not something they do part time and they also offer private training if needed for an extra cost of course. Other places do not display their schedule and it's really hard to see what days you can go in for a class. Even though I live in the San Gabriel Valley and gas is high I'm willing to drive there to renew my BLS since it's easier due to their schedule and it s perfect with my work schedule. read more

It's that time of year. Your CPR card is about to expire. You need to renew it, but come on, admit it... CPR classes are about as much fun as watching paint dry. That's where CPRfun comes in. Now it's not fun and games, but it is painless from start to finish. I have renewed here twice. I watched the videos both times and practiced with all 3 age groups as well as an AED device. They go over everything and answer any questions you might have. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn. read more

I took the BLS CPR class and got $5 off for paying online. The class started 30 mins after the posted time on the website but I didn't mind. The instructor was great and answered all my questions. The classroom where the class is taught is pretty big. The only thing I wish they could do is actually practice 2 rescuer CPR with someone else in the class, and for everyone to take turns using the AED or at least have their own. read more

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO LEARN CPR AND FIRST AID. I have been coming here for the past 12 years to get my skills refreshed, and they make it fun for me. Nice people, classes are small, everyone gets their own manikin so the class moves along faster then other places where I had to share my manikin with another student. The training is really professionally done, the instructors are lively, show the training videos, and then we practice along with the videos. Instructors, a compassionate to new students and make it easy for them. I leave there feeling confident I can do CPR & First Aid in an emergency. Especially because they always give me this nifty CPR barrier mask I carry on my car keys. read more

So fortunate to have found this place! I needed CPR/first aid (child and adult) ASAP. I called all over LA for two days before I found this place. $65 for both classes (including the book), easy to find (and close to me), no need to pay online in advance..they take your money at the door. Best of all, they offer classes several times per week so it's easy to find one that fits your schedule. I would rate 0/5 if possible. I was going here for nearly ten years but never, ever again. Let me tell you, stay as far away from this place as possible. Save your hard earned time and money and go to a more professional establishment with better customer service and you'll even pay less money. I will never refer any co-workers, child care providers, healthworkers, or just anyone needing to be certified, to this place ever again. I went to renew my CPR card and the ment I walked in the guy (chubby black guy, don't know his name) had a major chip on his shoulder and a nasty attitude. I paid for the first aid course also which wasn't supposed to begin until after the BLS course, per Tom, the owner. After they took my money, I found out that was a lie. Both courses actually that I had enrolled in ran simultaneous to each other. Meaning you end up missing the first half of your first aid course. Misleading business and unethical. I asked for a refund based on this and Tom refused and had the audacity to keep my money for the first aid course even though I never took the first aid course or received a card despite advance payment. The guy at the front desk was yelling, disorganized and lazy and even misspelled my name and several other people's names on their BLS card. How is this possible? You write your name on a list beforehand when you first pay. Pure sloppiness. The room was small, crowded and hot because the AC wasn't working at all and it was nearly 90 degrees outside so you can imagine what it felt like inside. Parking there is horrible because there are only about three, maybe four car slots available to park your car. The building on the outside, looks more like an apartment not a real business. Tom was even handing out materials during class telling us he's facing going out of business, and that we should contact our congressional representatives to help him out allegedly based on some bill moving through California's congress. Who does this? Get the customer experience you deserve and go elsewhere and be treated with more respect.Save your dignity, time and hard earned money and get the experience and level of quality service you expect. You won't find it here. There's been a marked decline in service over the years. Consider yourselves warned. read more
