When Will J beat me to the First to Review, I figured I was slacking off and rushed from Hialeah to review it. Walking out with a package of Buffalo Mozarella and bottle of Prosecco....which even got me in the kitchen this morning as I incorporated some of the mozarella cheese into a caprese salad with prosciutto I had. Light yet creamy in taste it provided a great balance to the sweets I usually have for brunch. I'm saving my prosecco bottle for full moon night tonight! Oh and one more thing, Stefano was nice enough to give me some tissues as the low 70s Miami frozen tundra cold weather caused me some sniffling :)

New local Miami hack unlocked - Go to Big Daddy's for their coffee!…read more Usually, I would go to Big Daddy's to just buy liquor. But, me and my friend decided to try and chill after running around doing errands before the New Year. We decided to try and sit down and get their Cafe con Leche. The store has a designated section to sit down. The table was really cool because it had an old map of the Florida Keys. The coffee was also really good and it definitely gave me the burst of energy for our party that night. The cashier who took care of us and made our coffee was very nice. He made sure we had the right sweetness to our drinks. This is a good place to get that much needed cafecito break. Other than that, the prices of the store for alcohol is really good. They have a nice selection of Florida and Miami local wines, spirits and beers to choose from. They also have deals with brand favorites as well. I personally, could get lost in the store!

And that is what this place feels like. Deeply familiar and welcoming, like your mother even after you haven't called her in over 6 months (yes it's time you call her, don't be ungrateful..) We bought limes to add to the gift while Franco laughed with us and added his touch by taping the limes to the bottle. The box of Macallen had a special addition of limes and a cigar attached to it to complete the gift. Our purchase included the gift bag where the special edition Macallen bottle was gifted in. We highly recommend shopping at Big Daddys Liquor in Surfside and look for Franco. He will definitely give you beyond great customer service experience!
