Clubhouse staff are welcoming and friendly. Weekday Fees are extremely reasonable ($17-19) depending on whether you are a senior or veteran. Course is walkable but golf carts and pull carts are available to rent. Additionally you are provided a bottle of water as well with the paid fees. Only downside course doesn't not utilize an online or phone reservation system like some courses but extremely easy to get through and reserve tee times. Hopefully the course can one day open the kitchen to the public where one could grab a burger or hot dog after a round of golf. Overall great 9 hole golf course that's reasonably priced.

Most holes are par 4, one is 5, two are three. Visually , it isn't the most appealing and won't be having your jaw drop at the beautiful green fairway. I am not saying it is ugly , but it isn't the most attractive either which Is one thing I really enjoy about a course. There is some nice distance to launch some shots here on most of the holes , and the shorter par 3s present other challenges to keep it fun. Economically you get great value , my friend and I got a tee time for a non resident rate on a Sunday for $35 each (including a cart)

The municipal golf course being close to the water has taken a toll from climate changes that have affected most of the Long Island homes and facilities close to the shorelines. Timber Point Golf course needs renovation of its fairways and greens. Timber Point Golf Course great south bay location along with its beautiful natural surroundings seem to make it a no brainer. Unfortunately, from what I have read, the political hurdles to obtain budget approval to restore this course seem challenging. Personally, I struggled with the terrain of the golf course, long play, and the slow greens. Regardless of the wonderful Great South Bay views, I will not be playing this course in the future. There are many other Long Island public courses that have particularly good playing conditions. It would be unfortunate if Timber Point Golf course were not renovated, it is a beautiful location. I enjoyed playing the course, but the golf course were noticeably deteriorating. I wish those individuals the best of luck to find a way to preserve this Municipal Golf Course.

It was a nice treat to be able to attend their annual Christmas Party here as well as a smaller meeting earlier that month. You are greeted with smiles from the second you walk in. We were directed to our magnificent room for the Christmas party which was just up the stairs. There is one very large Christmas tree here. The room was just so festive with holiday spirit. Love the giant fireplace, it is a great spot for pictures too. The food was wonderful. For the Kiwanis general meeting it was a buffet. It was the general fare of beef, chicken and salmon. Everything was delicious and there was plenty of food. All delicious... I must admit that they have the best chocolate chip cookies here. We had a wonderful sit down dinner at the Christmas party in the main room. Both my wife and I had the short ribs which were just outstanding. Not only was the food great, but the team here is magnificent. Everyone here is just so customer service oriented. Honestly, I would expect that in a club like this but the folks here were just special. Everyone with a smile on their face and working together so perfectly orchestrated. Just not enough good things to say about the Nassau Country Club but after my next visit I am sure that I will be able to add text to this review. KUDOs to all!
