If you want to find garibaldi, just drive along the oregon coast until you see a giant, sparkling G on the side of a hill, reminiscent of the famous "hollywood" sign down in california. Once you find it, head down to the marina where all of the sailboats are parked, and in front of the beautiful view, you'll find crab rock pizza. My boyfriend and I are incredibly happy we found this place. The pizza was so delicious, halfway through eating the original Margherita pizza we ordered in the restaurant, we decided we needed to order another one to go. We were super hungry when we got there, so we were a little bothered with the wait (~30 minutes) despite it not being that busy, but any negative feelings went away after eating the pizza. The owner of the restaurant was there, too, and he was super friendly with customers, making sure that everyone was having a great experience. My girlfriend and I visited Crab rock pizza a few weeks ago, and man, i am still thinking about it. The wait time felt kind of long, which was the only thing i can even begin to complain about, but it was really only about 30 minutes. The pizza was the single best pizza I have ever had in my life. The crust was perfectly thin and crunchy, the sauce had such a great flavor that was perfectly sweet and salty, it had a good amount of really great mozzarella cheese, and the basil was so fresh. The owner was also super nice! You can feel how passionate he is about the restaurant and the pizza, and (as a sailor myself) he is a navy veteran. an MM too, god's rate! This was right next to the motel we were staying at and I really wanted pizza (go figure), it's a nice little wood fired pizza place right along the harbor with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the Riptide pizza which was really good, I usually like more topping (especially cheese) but this just worked. The edge crust was perfection. Right consistency of crisp but chewy. The only downside of this was that at the center of the pizza the heat made it sweat which made it sweat but did not keep me from eating it. My mother-in-law recommended this place -- she remembered it fondly from a past visit. Unfortunately, the only thing memorable this time was how unpleasant the owner was. The man at the register looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, and the energy carried through the entire experience. The pizza was mediocre at best, with a soggy center that made "wood-fired" sound more like "steamed." To top it off, when my mother-in-law tried to compliment the owner, mentioning she'd enjoyed it a couple of years ago and again this time, he snapped that the restaurant had "only been open a year." Odd, since Yelp lists two and he's been angrily replying to poor reviews since then as well. Maybe he's counting from when the joy officially left the building. As an added bonus, if you choose to sit outside, be prepared for the gentle wafts of sewage drifting over from the public restroom next door. Nothing pairs with a limp slice quite like that aroma. My wife and I went here with a friend who said "best pizza you'll ever have." Bro is usually a bit of a troll and so I knew I shouldn't take him too seriously as I've had pizza from both coasts already! Needless to say, he was right. The Sow and Fig is so DAMN MEMORABLE! For those wanting something a bit familiar and more tame, The Rough Bar is a wonderful choice. And the Greenside was suuuper tasty too! Now if pizza is not your thing, the Gelato is TO DIE FOR. I wish I lived in Oregon so bad because the Hazelnut flavors are just better there. The wife and I can't wait to visit again and make this place a staple. The owners and the staff were super sweet and accommodating even though we wanted to try a little bit of everything haha. And lastly, the bathrooms were the most pleasant and clean I'd seen in a long time. Maybe I'm just bitter here on the east but I feel like bathrooms are typically never cleaned lmao. Business is going great! Called to order take out and they were too busy to answer. Tried a few more times in route but no luck. It was 7pm and they close at 8 and we are staying in Rockaway Beach (about 15 min drive). We ordered when we arrived and it was about a 30 minute wait for our pizza. They were nice and helpful when ordering. Has to be the best pizza place on the coast. They even have local gelato available. Our margarita pizza was pretty burned. Pizzas were good and was light enough that you could eat one per person. It was just over $40 for two pizzas. Crust is a little chewy but overall felt it was a good find. Location is cute along the docks in Garibaldi. Plenty of seating outside and picnic benches outside. read more

This is easily the best pizza on the Oregon coast! They specialize in wood fired Napoletana style pizza, the likes of some that you could find in Portland. We called in an order on a Friday night and brought it back to our rental. We went with the classic Margherita, their 4 cheese pie - The Dairyman, and a classic pepperoni. That was enough to feed about 10 of us with some salad and veggies that we had brought for sides. I thought the pies were flavorful and kept going back for more to try to figure out which one I liked the best. The crust was thin, but had a good flavor and not too much char. It also wasn't greasy, which is my main complaint with some of the other pizza joints on the coast. They offer a ton of different toppings and lots of specialty pies. I do wish that they did 1/2 and 1/2 pies, but some of their specialty pies have a lot of toppings so I get that that could get complicated. We will be back to try the gelato!! read more

Food is a three star, service is a zero. No idea why their ratings are so good. We came because it's well rated but we were disappointed. Pizza is just ok. It is soggy. You pick up a slice and it folds/flops over and the toppings slide off. Good pizza doesn't do that. The older guy working the front counter has no business working in hospitality. I'm guessing he's the owner? No one would actually hire that guy to work in a restaurant, so he must be the owner. Rude to customers, snapped at his staff in front of us because they tried to look up a drink order in a way he didn't like. Doesn't smile, not friendly, doesn't seem to like people or his work.... And it shows in the product they put out. I don't think the woman owner is any friendlier. She seemed to be the grumpy guys wife. Our three year old climbed on the rope fence/barrier they have around the outdoor seating, you know, like kids do and was kind of harshly told not to by this lady. She leapt up and said that their fence/barrier isn't stable and will topple over from any weight. I get it, kids climbing on something they aren't technically supposed to climb on, something most restaurants wouldn't even notice though. We don't let her run wild, just kind of normal kid thing to do. As a family restaurant you need to expect kids to act like kids, be polite to them and if it's a big deal to you, politely say something to the parents. Don't leap up and try to reprimand a three year old. Also, any fence/barrier you put up should probably be able to support some weight. God forbid someone lean against your precious rope and fall over expecting it to actually be correctly built. I guess just don't bring your kids here, they probably won't like the soggy pizza anyway. Buying pizza at random shops across the country has paid off! Fantastic flavor. We just added Crab Rick Pizza to our Contacts. I've never done that for a non-chain pizza restaurant before.
