We had a drain tile installed six years ago and I've since learned that they installed improper sheeting. I would go with another business, but if you do go with crack attack, make sure you get dimpled sheeting (what they installed is water proof, which is most important, but industry standard, as I understand it, is to install dimpled sheeting, which can funnel water, in addition to repel it, sending it down to the drain tile. What they installed is sub optimal (and impossible to correct). Many plumbers have confirmed that this aspect of our drain tile was improperly installed. It doesn't feel good to spend $10 on a job and later learn that it was not done properly. When I first heard about this I reached out to Tim looking for reassurance and he never responded. I think he is not responding because the situation basically can't be remediated, and to take responsibility would be hard to do for that reason. I hope they have changed their installation practice. Our concrete pool needed a rehab. Removed old deck area and made pool shallower by pouring a new floor. Excellent service by Tim and his crew. They showed up 4 days earlier than scheduled. Very prompt, excellent communication and very thorough. If there wasn't any machinery running, I would have never known the team was around. They came focused to get the job done and succeeded! The finished project came out terrific! It was a pleasure to have the team around. Definitely would use Crack Attack again for any future concrete work. Highly recommend Tim and his team! Just had Crack Attack Team out for another project. Replaced an old patio. They enlarged it and created a beautiful stamped design that looks like a brick patio but with durability from being concrete. Half way through my patio project, I asked Tim, the owner, if he could quote a price for the "long" sidewalk leading from the front porch to the rear patio. The price was better than I expected so I asked if he could do it while they were there. Tim explained his prep crew was already getting ready for a new driveway for another customer the following day. However, although quite booked, he promised he would get mine done in between jobs in the next couple of days. To my surprise, he was back at my house two days later and within a few days, I had a beautiful around my house. I don't care about what anyone may say about bigger being better. Clearly not true at all. I am not impressed with a company that has to advertise on TV and really doesn't do very good work at high prices. Yes, I originally received a quote from them. Rejected it right away. In fact, the salesperson turned me off with his obvious BS. I went with a smaller, family-owned and locally-owned company that has been in business for years. The odds are, when you call the company you will reach a family member. I feel as though, whether you speak with a family member, an employee or the owner Tim, they all have the same goal in mind. We had a stamped patio through Crack Attack installed last Sunmer and I was incredibly encouraged when we signed up but the end product is well below expectations. There are chunks missing, cracks in the concrete that are sure to expand and crumble through winter, the seal was applied unevenly and the release was applied sloppily and stained our siding. They were supposed to apply a finish on the steps that they didn't apply and the only response to all of this that we got was, 'Well, that's what you get with stamped concrete.' The life of our patio is surely limited and I am very disappointed. They seemed to be great in the planning, but once we were booked, they pushed our time out without communication. I reached out several times and finally got a response. I understand that times are tough, but a little proactive communication goes a long way. I was willing to forgive that, but the poor quality of the end product leaves me frustrated that we paid full price and were brushed off for our concerns. I would not recommend. After sharing this review on Facebook and Google, I was contacted and they came out to look with the concrete company. I was told that my patio would be redone due to the obvious quality concerns. This has still not happened and I have not been prioritized. In addition, I have been told that I am responsible to pay for the landscaping work and septic that I will have to have re-done, even though I made my concerns known and was brushed off at final inspection and before I had that work completed. I had hoped that this would be recovered but to date, this is unresolved. read more

Gave them a call and real person answered right away and took all my info. Within minutes I had a quote and an appointment set up. On the day of repair they showed up on time, were polite and explained what they would be doing and how long it would take. They cleaned up their mess when they were finished and explained what would happen in the next day or two. So far so good with the few downpours we have had this summer. I called the crack attack team when I had some leaking in my basement. I have a 70 year old house and naturally there will be some cracks over the years. They were recommended to me by the precision plumbing company that has done lots of work for me in the past and I trust them completely. Well I wasn't disappointed. Dan and Scott who not only explained everything that needed to be done gave me a complete estimate of the cost via e mail and then completed the work in a timely and professional manner. They dealt with digging up tree roots and digging up an old concrete slab to bury the downspout drainage pipes and everything turned out so great. These men worked so hard and I think that this company is very fortunate to have them as employees. I recommend them highly. read more

We hired Crack Attack 4 years ago (Spring of 2019). Within a few weeks, a hairline crack already formed on our front step. Fast forward just 2 years (2021) there were tons of pits throughout the entire driveway and that hairline crack is huge. Now, 4 years later, it all just keeps getting worse and worse. I hate even looking at my driveway knowing how much I spent to get a "nice concrete driveway" but instead got one that is just crumbling away. When I reached out to Tim via email, he wrote back to me: "Unfortunately we don't make the materials" , so basically he doesn't stand behind his product. The team was very nice and Tim has a great personality, but unfortunately, a charming personality isn't going help my ugly crumbling apart driveway or give me money back. :( I should have gone with the guy down the street who was slightly priced higher. Due to complexity and my inexperience we have gone back and forth on multiple solutions even after I agreed upon the initial terms. Throughout the entire process everyone I have talked with at the Crack Attack Team has maintained 100% customer focus. If you would like to use Crack Attack please read the reviews. The only bad reviews are written by people who couldn't schedule an appointment. I had no issue scheduling an appointment (despite being far from their office) and furthermore when the entire crew showed up but I still felt uneasy Tim (the owner) insisted on coming out to complete the job HIMSELF! Let me start by saying I had a great experience. I got a quote from a Nother highly rated company on yelp to have a couple cracks filled and a sump pump and battery backup pump installed. The other company quoted me over $3100. I had no idea what it should cost, and I am very glad I got another quote from crack attack. The exact same work was $1800. Tim was very professional in all correspondence with me. And the installer Devoe was very professional. he explained what he was going to do when he arrived and made sure to walk me through everything when he was finished. Crack Attack Team came highly recommended by RevFoam, our insulation contractor, to deal with a major foundation  issue. Contacted Tim around noon and he came out around 4 o'clock that same day and prepared me an estimate while he was there. Once we were ready and set a date, their tech was here at the time we agreed on and did a fantastic job and left our home clean! In addition to this, we were scammed by a concrete contractor and Tim prepared an estimate for picking up the job and finishing it. He was very fair and compassionate about the situation with my wife and I! Needless to say they did a FANTASTIC JOB finishing the project and I highly recommend Tim for any of your concrete work as well!! I just called to schedule an appointment for a consultation for my rental home in Calumet City today 2/21/2018. The woman on the phone asked for all my information then asked "Where is Calumet City?" When I told her it's 20 minutes south of the city she said, "We only service the city!" Which is a bold faced lie. I am a realtor and this company was referred me by my friend who is a realtor and he has used them extensively in the past. Because the woman who I'm I'm assuming is the receptionist, chose to not even attempt to service me and lie, I will tell everyone in my office to avoid this company! We used the Crack Attack Team for a solution to seepage that was getting worse over time in our basement in June of 2016. It did not seem helpful to write a review until I was able to evaluate whether the project worked or not. Now - after almost 24 months - I can say that it worked exactly as planned! Tim was extremely helpful from the start. He came out to see what our trouble areas were and listened closely to what we wanted. He suggested a couple solutions for my review. Of course, we talked to the other companies that are the "main players" in this category too. After review of all the plans and quotes, we decided to go with Crack Attack. They just seemed to care more, have a better plan and were reasonably priced. We had to have the part of the basement floor broken out so a French train could be installed as well as a new sump pump installed. (When you see how hard the men had to work to break up this small amount of flooring and remove it from the basement, their reasonable price becomes even more of a deal.) The work was done quickly and competently. There was a supervisor on site at all times and they handled all the permits with the village. (Be prepared to have to spend a little time waiting for the village permitting. This has nothing to do with Crack Attack but everything to do with bureaucratic red tape!) Tim came out to my house twice, once to provide an estimate and the second time to have me sign the papers to have the work completed. He answered all of my waterproofing questions and clearly walked me through the work that was to be completed to solve my issues. I had about 5 other contractors out to bid on this job and the price that he quoted was much better than the competition. Tim's crew of 4 or 5 guys showed up on time at approximately 8AM and completed the job at approximately 7PM. They completed all of the pre-work of moving our basement belongings away from the walls and covering them so that they would not get full of dust. This work was completed during the winter, so they had to shovel a path from the street to the basement window well to move materials and concrete into the home. After completion, his guys cleaned up after themselves and even cleaned up our kitchen floor that had gotten pretty dirty from all the work going on throughout the day. We expected the dust to be contained to the basement, but unfortuately over the next day our furnace had coated a majority of our home with a layer of dust that it pulled from the basement. We contacted Tim about this issue and he promptly sent Merry Maids out, at his expense, to clean up the unexpected mess. Today our new draining system is working beautifully. It has not rained yet, but with the melting snow our new sump system is running quite often to pump out all of the standing water that must have been lingering under our foundation. I am very satisified with the work completed and glad that I chose Crack Attack. I would highly recommend them and would confidently use them again for future waterproofing projects. read more

Just had Crack Attack Team to install 2 egress window systems with drains, inspect for foundation cracks and repair the one found and install a state-of-the art sump pump and backup sump bump. They explained everything to me, got the necessary permits, came every day until job was completed, did an awesome job and cleaned up well afterwards. Great communication via phone: they came at the appointed time, (after contacting that morning by phone,) and very swiftly after initial call in spite of my needing to reschedule. They did a very thorough inspection around my basement before proposing which cracks to seal and which were not an issue. It has been a horrible experience with Crack Attack Team. One side of my garage sunk 4~5 inches, so I called Crack Attack Team, Mr. Matthew T. represented their team, and told me they can stabilize the garage foundation and level the slab, plus the foundation stabilization is lifetime transferable warranty and the slab is one year warranty. He gave me an impression that they could raise the sunk side to be the same height as the other side. He had me paying him $1000 deposit in December of 2014. in early January 2015, they came over, and started to break the existing garage concrete slab, after they finished breaking the garage slab, Matthew told me that not much can be raised for the sunk side. I was pretty unhappy when hearing that, but since they have already broken the concrete slab, I told them to continue. They dug some holes from inside of the garage close to the sunk foundation but found a metal pipe in the way. So Matthew told me they could not continue. The winter was cold, I understood that we had to wait for warmer weather. When the weather turned warmer, i contacted Matthew right away, he told me it would be two more weeks until they could do my garage. Eventually at the end of March, they came over and started to enforce the concrete foundation, and pour the concrete slab. While they were pouring the slab, I told them the slab is not level, but they would not listen. Before they even finished everything, Matthew asked me to pay the full amount. After the concrete slab dried, I noticed the garage door could not close because the middle part of the slab was 1~1.5 inches higher than the corners. I called Matthew, and he came over, he admit it was done wrong, he said your garage is too old, and you should have torn down and rebuild a new garage. So basically he did not even tell me the truth when I talked to him about this project at the very beginning -- by not telling me the sunk side would not be raised, and the best choice was to rebuild a new garage. Anyway, at this point, I have to try to figure out a way to fix the defective slab that Crack Attack Team did it for me. At that time, I had a contractor doing my driveway so I asked him to give me a quote. My driveway contractor told me it will cost $250 to get it fixed. I told Matthew about it, and Matthew said he would pay me back the amount for the fix after I get the invoice from the driveway contractor. Right after my driveway was done and when I got the invoice from my driveway contractor, I took a picture of the invoice and send it to Matthew through text. You know what? He never called me back regarding it. I called him many times, Matthew would not answer. Eventually, a few days later, he answered my call, and told me he was out of town and would be back until a few days later. I waited until that day, but he never called me. I tried to call him, but always got to his voice mail. I left messages in his voice mail, but Matthew never called back., I kept calling, and one week later, he answered the call. This time, he appeared more serious about writing a check to me because he asked me how my name was spelled. WRONG IMPRESSION! I don't think he wrote any check to me. I have not received anything from him yet, and this has been a few weeks already since I talked to him. I called him many times in between, but he never picked up the phone or called me back., The other issue was that when they work on the garage foundation, they dug two huge holes at the outside of the garage, but they never put the dirt back., I spent three hours putting all the dirt back. Regarding the lifetime transferable warranty for the foundation stabilization, Matthew never sent me anything. But to be honest, is Crack Attack Team's lifetime transferable warranty going to worth anything? If you have issue from their work, and you call them, but they just do not answer you, what will the warranty do? Think about it, don't be fooled by the words "LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY". read more

I found Crack Attack team in Best Pick Reports Quality Home Service Guide. After 4 other big and wellknown companies failed to locate source of water leakage in my basement and trying to pull my leg, I just called Crack Attack. Cathy in customer service was extremely courteous, understanding, and helpful. Tim was in my house twice to assess a problem. He walked me through all steps and explained entire process of waterproofing of my basement. Estimate and paperwork were completed. He checked everything inside and out and FOUND were the problem was. Crack Attack Team schedule was packed, however, Tim asked me if it would be convenient for me to have job done on a weekend. Tim and his crew arrived 8 am Saturday as scheduled. All areas in my house were covered with protective materials. Work started promptly and crew did not stop till 7 pm. Work was done outside of the house and inside. While working, Tim was explaining everything again and answering my questions. After work was completed, all areas inside the house and outside were cleaned. When crew was ready to leave, my sump-pump unexpectedly failed. Tim and his crew stayed and installed new sump-pump checked it and made sure it works. Tim is a professional, courteous, and knows what he is doing. My basement wall was starting to bow-(cinder block) I was given quotes for 15-20 thousand on down to 9 thousand. The Crack Attack owner came out for the free estimate and was quickly able to assess the problem, what was done in the basement before and gave me a fair, reasonable quote which happened to be the best quote and the best solution. They used the Carbon Fiber Straps which meant no steel beams. I researched this and also talked to a structural engineer who assured me that Carbon Fiber Straps would take care of the problem and be the best way to go. He scheduled the job in less than two weeks from the estimate date. When the guys came they were done in about half a day. They were so patient , professional and good natured as they waited the other half of the day for the inspector. Once the inspector showed up they finished the job in less than 45 minutes and cleaned up perfectly as if they were never there. I am so happy I called this company. I felt good about the whole experience from beginning to end. I wasn't treated as just another job...I was treated as a neighbor and the basement looks BETTER after they left. So far this has been a horrible experience. On April 25 (it is now June 15). We purchased two big deals from Angie's List to have two cracks repaired in our basement. We called and left a message right after our purchase. They called back after several days to schedule the service. They could not come out for three weeks. While, not thrilled with this, we understood because of the heavy rains we had. We assumed they were really busy. A week before our scheduled service call, I contacted them to confirm the date that we had scheduled. When I called, Jason asked if I could move the day up to the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. He said he would be in our area and it would work out well for him. I thought it was worth taking the afternoon off from work to get the work done sooner. Yes, I took time off from work that afternoon and guess who didn't show up. Jason. He had even called my husband to confirm and my husband left a message responding to the confirmation. I called Lisa, Jason and Tim several times that afternoon and the next day. Message after message with no response from anyone. My husband started to call as well and we received no response. Keep in mind, all this time we have had water leaking through the cracks in the wall and we have already prepaid $300 for the service. Finally, a week later, Jason responded to our calls and told us we had been mistaken about the date. JASON, YOU CALLED THAT DAY TO CONFIRM!!! How could we have been mistaken? We rescheduled the service for another day. Jason came out and he could not do the work because the cracks were wet. He told us to call when they are dry. We did as he requested and called and asked for another day once the cracks were dry. My husband's message was returned and he was told that they couldn't do the day requested. He was asked to call back to reschedule. We have been calling for a week and have gotten no response. No one ever answers the phone. We always leave messages. Given that we have prepaid for this service, I know have a strong feeling that we are being taken for a ride, and will never receive the service.
