Cracker Barrel is 5 minutes away from us and we come here all the time and I can sincerely say that 8/10 times we get very good service and food. I don't understand why this place has a 2 star rating. When you look around this place is full of people. If this place was bad NOBODY would be here! Food is also good and service is friendly and accommodating along with a smile! I know sometimes bad service is received but that's every where you go. Now a days lots of these restaurants are lacking personnel and the few workers are working long hours and being overwhelmed with the public! We all need to show compassion and patience with one other. We are always happy with our food and service!

Cracker Barrel is a standard place to go if looking for either breakfast or brunch. Depending on what day of the week you come, this can determine how busy it will be. This location has ample parking available. Like all Cracker Barrel's, there is a general store when you first walk in. Lots of trinkets and goodies to browse through. After arriving at the hostess stand, my party of 3 was promptly seated. For starters, service left little to the imagination. Our waitress appeared to be having a bad day and it showed. Most of the time it felt like we were bothering her. The menu appears to have changed slightly. Furthermore, they now offer alcoholic beverages. I settled on the French toast breakfast with a glass of OJ. Food was brought out within 15 min. Overall, meal was decent. Still don't understand why syrup is served In a glass bottle instead of heated up. Can't say I'll be back anytime soon, but overall it was okay!

Consistently good food at CB regardless of in what state or city we happen to be. Quick, friendly servers & staff. It was a little early for dinner & a bit quieter than usual. The fireplace felt so welcoming & definitely took the chill out of the damp, rainy day.

    Chicken fried chicken Soooo good

Food and service amazing as always. I could live on the chicken fried chicken. Eggs were cooked perfectly Would have been five stars except it needs some serious cleaning. All the decorations and lattice work is covered in dust. Thick enough that it blows

The food is always consistent and the problems that occur with it are due to a lack of kitchen help. Today we had to wait about 30 minutes fir our food. When I asked the waitress, she told me they only had two people in the kitchen during a Sunday lunch rush. Sad! I get it with the Covid situation, but here's where a change can happen-the management can get back there and cook or the wait staff can be cross trained to cook. The problem with chain restaurants is that many managers don't know how to cook the food. This needs to change. Instead of walking around talking to customers, he should be in the back helping the kitchen. A hostess or waitress could go around asking customers how they like their meals. Everyone at my table seemed to like their meal but I could tell that mine was under the heat lamp a little too long. You can tell that because when the plate came out the waitress could hardly touch it and my food was warm, not hot. You could tell by the color of the cheese and the texture it had been sitting a bit. We will be back, and I hope we can get back to normal where people want to work.

    It's a Cracker Barrel alright

Then we got the special of the day appetizer (wasn't on the menu), the spinach artichoke dip served with fresh, homemade garlic pita chips. It was hands down the best spinach artichoke dip and chips we've ever had. The portion was huge, and we could barely finish it! We split the pork chop for our entrée, and it was absolutely incredible. For our sides, we had the 11 mac and cheese, which was probably the best mac and cheese we've ever eaten, and the Brussels sprouts were absolutely divine. We wanted to try dessert because everything on the dessert menu looked delicious, but we were so full there was just no room left! The service was excellent from start to finish. We would definitely come back and highly recommend the Rickhouse to anyone looking for a fantastic meal.

It was not the best food in the world but the food here tastes like home to me. Just really well seasoned and old school. Now here's my issue. This establishment had me wait almost 90 minutes on a 92 degree day (WITH MY FIVE YEAR OLD) for two meals. They had already taken my money, otherwise I would have booked it. Here's what I ate: 1. Fried Pork Chop with mashed potaotes (they were out of potato salad) and greens, gravy on the side 2. Ribs with macaroni and cheese and Pinto Beans I also got a blackberry cobbler. I checked in after 30 minutes and they weren't sympathetic. I looked at these reviews later and saw that someone said the customer service at this establishment was hilarious and they were not kidding. Here's how everything tasted: Pork Chop: very flavorful, glad I got fried and not smothered for texture reasons Mashed potatoes: good and real, but nothing to write home about Ribs: They were okay. tender. tasted like they were boiled and that's not my preference...they were also swimming in sauce. I feel like ribs should be able to stand up without the sauce and I was not sure this could happen here. The bbq sauce is part of the dish for them. Greens: overly salted, underseasoned...they needed to be eaten by the pinto beans Pinto beans: absolutely no salt--would not order again Macaroni and cheese: this is the creamy kind, not the baked kind (not my preference. Gravy: excellent Blackberry Cobbler: FIVE STARS. Delicious, buttery, so tasty. I went home and tried to make one. Seriously: no notes here. It is a must try. Charging 2 dollars for a cup of kool-aid is insane. with this kind of customer services, it would be nice if they threw that sugar water in for free. I skipped it, but just thought I would mention if you plan on trying to have some for nostalgic reasons. I haven't had any in about 30 years and I was planning on it but not when I saw the price tag. I live in Illinois, but if I ever do visit again I will call my order in, go sight seeing and then pick up my food. Don't bring your kids to this establishment unless they have confirmed your order is ready!

(If you are ending elsewhere, you really need to consider a road trip here for dinner. WORTH IT!) If you're local, I don't understand how you aren't here every weekend. Spent a weekend on the bourbon trail, and this place was the food/service highlight of the weekend! We went looking for some good southern comfort food and our expectations were exceeded. Every item tasted was so good that we immediately made the rest of the table taste it as well. Generous portions, excellent prices, amazing food. Every entrée, every side, just amazing. And the pie! So good we had to get a couple extra pieces to go to snack on later. As a table we had fried catfish, a ribeye, country fried steak, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, baked tomatoes, green beans, creamed peas, french fries, cornbread, hush puppies. All of us simultaneously felt we had the best order on the table, and order envy for what was on everyone else's plates. It was that good. The only rival to this amazing food was the people and service of those working there. Everyone was so friendly and warm, it was like having dinner at family's house. It may be a while before we are back to the bourbon trail, but I can already tell that when we do, the first item on the agenda is stopping back here, and we will plan everything else around it.
