Our waitress was the absolute worst but our food was delicious and we loved the atmosphere.

Stopped in for breakfast with friends while camping. The old country vibe store up front was very interesting with lots of options for men, women and kids. We were seated right away for breakfast and our server promptly brought drinks and took our orders. There were lots of great breakfast selections, specials and the old favorites like "grandpas breakfast". We had a spread of pancakes, eggs, biscuits, grits and more. The portions were hearty and all of the food was prepared well and very tasty. I especially like their smoked sausage patties. read more

Food was as expected. However- that was the only positive. Party of 3, 45 min before close. We were seated quickly, maybe 8 other tables in the whole place occupied. ONE server, and she was preoccupied with what was clearly her own family members seated at a huge table, including her own kid? Waited at least ten minutes to get our drinks and order taken. Busboys were banging a mop around in the dining room, clearly " cleaning up" so they could go home early. No drink refills. No check up mid meal. Missing a pancake and a side of bacon. No manager on duty, or at least one never came when I requested one. Maybe we should have let this chain fade away last year after all. read more

We stopped going to Cracker Barrel in Bridgeport Mi because our food was always just lukewarm, never hot. We tried it again for the 1st time in years and were still disappointed. I felt so bad for our server who was clearly new and had no clue. The '5 star waitress' that was supposed to be training him never shadowed him to guide or help. She just stood at the kitchen door. The 3 tables that were filled after we placed our orders got their food while we waited and waited. One of those tables finished eating and left and we still waited. We had to ask for more coffee while we waited and waited, When we brought our ridiculous wait to someones attention the '5 star waitress' came and told us she was training our waiter and he was extremely slow at punching in orders. Here's an idea! Help him! When our food finally came the eggs were slimy, the biscuits were hard, the gravy was like paste, one side was missing, and of course it was still only lukewarm. Our bill was nearly $70 for 4 breakfast's and Cracker Barrel sent us a $20 "compensation card" after making them aware of the issue. If we ever decide to go back (which I doubt) we might be able to squeeze 4 cups of coffee out of that big compensation but will probably have to ask for refills! read more

Server was really nice, and patient. Place was clean and nice. Wait time was fair, given our group size. Food was ok, but its just your avg cracker barrel. We knew what to expect. My new favorites are the campfire chicken and campfire beef. Both are highly recommended. The juices blend the vegetables perfectly! The meats are so tender and juicy. I always end up taking at least half home and enjoying a 2nd meal. The servers are always friendly and on point. It's the normal experience at the tables. The menu is reasonably price with a good enough breakfast selection. The waitress was a very sweet, well trained lady who told us that she's been there some 30+ years. The food arrived and it was hot and cleanly presented. It was just bland without much taste. The bathrooms were not really very clean. All 3 of us had upset stomachs and miserable afterwards. I think I'm done with Cracker Barrel. Our food was sub par on all levels. Biscuits were hard, my tossed salad side (which came with an up charge) was clearly made ahead of time (like maybe yesterday?). It was flattened out as if it had something stacked on while in the fridge. The croutons were soggy and disgusting. Carrots were tasteless as were the green beans. We were at this facility yesterday at approximately 4:30. We were told that they were out of the daily special. We made another selection but when we ordered dessert we were told that they were out of ice cream. This is unacceptable and a very poor reflection on the ability of management to plan and order ahead to meet the desires of their customers. Then our bill was incorrect. When we disputed the charge, the cashier had thrown the original bill in the trash along with several others that had been thrown away throughout the day. This entire experience was not customer friendly at all and it will be a long, long time, if ever, we return. Much more is expected of Cracker Barrell. read more

Cracker Barrel can have really good food and be a lot of fun, yesterday however my food was lukewarm cold like it was sitting. I ate a little then stopped because it is unhealthy to eat food that is just sitting out. Bacteria can grow. So i told our waiter and he brought a fresh plate, but the chicken and dumplings were the same as the first time. Cold. I told Seth the waiter and he took my plate and offered a refund. Having never set foot in a cracker barrel restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great place just based on decorum alone. Plenty of Early American folkish nostalgia on the walls coupled with exposed wooden beams and a roaring wood fireplace! I almost drew up a chair next the fire, drank my coffee and fell asleep! They have a cozy little gift shop with a wide variety of unique trinkets and memorabilia that my wife has wandered over to twice now...and the meal hasn't even been served! Careful. There's only so much room in the suitcase going back home. Our server was friendly and very pleasant to talk to. I asked for a decaf (at 6 am) and they didn't have one started but immediately made a pot just for me. I ordered the Momma's Pancake breakfast and created a double-decker pancake sandwich. This blew the young lady's mind as she was totally unfamiliar with the concept of a pancake sandwich. Well, growing up in the Steven E. household means Sunday morning pancake sandwiches. 1. On a large platter you place a huge pancake and saturate it with butter and maple syrup. 2. Layer a sunny-side-up egg and a little more butter. 3. Cover with another pancake complete with butter and more maple syrup. Ta-Da. When you cut into the middle of those pancakes with the egg yolk running and the syrup and butter combining into each other...look out. Then a fork-full of pancake and egg to sop it all up? He-Yeah! Best pancake sandwich I've had in over two years. Very tasty bacon and grits. I even loved my bite of the wife's fruit topped French toast. To sum it up. Tried to call in a take out order, no one answered, busy. Tried several times, before i decide to place my order at the store. Got to the store, 5 people in line to talk to the cashier. Waited, the lady ahead of me was waiting also just like me, busy line when she tried to place her order, she came to the store to place her take out order. I call, rather the use the app as i use gift cards and does not work well for me. Me and the lady ahead of me waited 10 min or more before we found out we needed to place our order with the hostess, who then went to get someone from the kitchen to take our order. Got that done. Waited about 30 minutes for my order. I asked for two biscuits one dinner and biscuit/corn bread., They messed the second item up. Got that replaced. Asked the cashier why they don't answer the phone, said kitchen is suppose to do that. Check yelp some one had this problem 3 months ago. I also have had this issue in the past. When i got home i looked my order over an the portion size seemed much smaller for my sides carrots and baked apple. Also the chicken thigh was half size of a full size thigh. The bone was cut. Stopped here with my MIL, she was craving chicken. They have a great menu with breakfast served all day. My MIL got the Chicken fried chicken, which she really enjoyed. The portions are huge. Plus, it is served with 2 or 3 sides. I got the Sunday Fried Chicken Breasts, which is two big pieces of chicken with a wonderful batter. Mine came with two sides and choice of biscuits or corn bread. The biscuits are great; corn bread just okay. Their Sweet Tea is very good! Right off the expressway too. Convenient location. Don't even waste your time calling in a to-go order. And can't place online order because after spending the time to put in a order for 5 people it says sites not working. Not happy one bit with the service here. Called in my order at 10 am to have it ready for us at 4:30. Got here waited 25 min to only find out they never even put order through. And didn't even have the order. So now we have to wait another 15 min. It's now been 20 min and still waiting. So almost an hour for takeout smh!! I stopped coming to Cracker Barrel because last time service was bad. Figured I'd give them another chance. Never again!! This is ridiculous. They need to do better!! At all Cracker Barrels I have ever been to, the servers have always been super friendly. As was the case today. The food is good, but it is not outstanding. It's home cooking and comforting. It's not a place for food snobs. It is fairly cheap,I had fried catfish and two sides for just under $10.00. The fish, mac and cheese, and salad were all okay. My mom enjoyed her meal. I am a fan of their corn muffins, but you can get buttermilk biscuits, or one of each. It's fun to peruse their gift shop. I use to love buying their cheap candy sticks when I was a kid, and my mom always bought their lemon drops for our long drive to our Florida vacations. read more

This is the worse place I have ever seen for take out. I wanted to order some dinner for my family today and I called no one answered the phone at all! This is not the first time this has happened! I love to go to Cracker Barrel they have a great store you can shop in while you wait for your food and they have such a large selection of great candy . They also have great kids clothes as well as adults . Great for Michigan/Michigan Stare wear. There is a nice fireplace that gives it a warm and comfy feeling . The food is excellent and you can have breakfast at anytime . They have great biscuits and cornmeal that they bring you while you wait. read more

I love Cracker Barrel. They always have a great attitude and smile The food is delicious everytime. My favorite is the trout dish with hashbrown casserole and a salad. The fish filet are always so moist and well seasoned. I have loved pretty much every single thing I've gotten from there. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are good too for the amt of food you get. The portions are pretty big in my opinion. Definitely recommend them there are lots of neat things to look at and there's a big fireplace that makes the place seem cozy. read more

Cracker Barrel is one of a kind with great food, people, and atmosphere. Their hash brown casserole is the best I've ever had and have yet to find one that even compares to it.
