This has been a go to place for me as a treat . The bread that is so delicious was so salt that didn't eat it. My daughter ordered her filet med rare. I ordered mine med they both came out well done. I kept mine and my daughter sent hers back. We ordered sides of zip sauce which is amazing on a steak. Nope not tonight someone was so heavy handed with the salt in this too. Our sides and my granddaughters fries were barely warm. The second filet comes out just like the first. Your known for steaks med rare and well done are to different ends of the spectrum. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to steakhouses measuring everybody against places like Morton's and Ruths Chris. So I know my ratings can be a little bit tough. I have to say I like Luckys Now I will confess I've never ate one of their steaks. I have seen them on other tables and they look OK. But the crab stuff, salmon, and lobster sauce is outstanding The side salad was tasty and fresh. The steamed broccoli was fine. I had a martini and it was OK. The salmon was the star of the show. My Dad has been wanting to treat the family for this dining experience at Lucky's Steak House for months. We finally got a time for the six of us family members to go. I would highly recommend to call ahead to make a reservation. We had a little bit of a wait without one. The menu is vast and the portions are nice sizes. They have Prime Time, Lobster Tails, Filet Mignon, Grouper, King Crab, Mahi Mahi..... Everyone in our dining party ordered different things so we were able to sample several items from the menu. I ordered a steak with macaroni and cheese plus a side salad. The fresh bread was good. The winner for me was the take out carrot cake with the drizzle for later! Five stars! There was a full house on this day so the table and chairs are a little close in proximity. We were holding a hold conversation with the nice couple at the table next to us. I have a health condition !! so I normally i order off the kids menu ! tonight I was told no I couldn't then after my husband told them he would pay for a cheeseburger meal told no then I cancelled all food that I had ordered so the rest of my family could eat . then the so calleded manger said it was OK for us to go ahead and pay for a cheese burger, sub it for grilled cheese and fries as it was still against their policy but it was OK. She would tweak it because I would have to pay for an adult meal as I explained to her you can see we willing pay for the adult meal so I could have my grill cheese and fries I took a photo of what I received and one side wasn't even cooked very discussed it with the service and the food I received. This place is disgusting. The food was not good quality. My salad had rotten brown lettuce in it. The Brussels sprouts tasted like they were flash fried in old oil. The Mac n cheese was bland. I ordered a 9 oz filet, cooked medium. It came out nearly well done. My husband's porter house was also over cooked, he ordered medium rare, steak came out medium well. The bathroom is down right disgusting. The smell by the bathroom smells like a pop can return. There were also flies in the building and around the table while we ate, leading me to believe that this place has very poor cleaning standards. I would never come back here to eat. The young lady was taking peoples reservation and handling take out orders . Orders came out she went over looked at them - never called anyone 45 minutes go by and another employee comes out looks at the same bags of food and calls my name and another ladies , They had been sitting there for 20 minutes and even though the first employee checked them 2 times she never bothered to call us . First time at Lucky's. Though a long wait at 5 pm on Saturday, worth the wait. Just come ready to eat. The portions are fantastic. I had the Cajun Ribeye which was a huge and very flavorful 16 oz! Great spice and the grilled peppers are amazing. The onion rings are very crispy and delicious. My wife had the filet medallions with scampi shrimp. The shrimp are crunchy and the sauce is really tasty. We did not care for the key lime because it was more like ice cream or cool whip flavored. Our server Kurt was excellent and fun. Well if you don't like Lucky's, you're a fool. Lucky's is where you go to be "fancy" and still eat well for a decent price in Genesee County. Great homemade soup & unlimited free loaves of warm delicious bread. Their onion rings are huge & crunchy, and their ranch is great. Lucky's is about the same price as Applebee's, and is 100x better. I appreciate that their menu prices haven't increased drastically like many other places, especially the chains who serve microwaved food. I will forever be a loyal Lucky's customer. I'd say we as a community are the LUCKY ones, to have such a great priced steakhouse! read more

I called a week in advance for reservations for 6 people at 2:30pm. When i called i stated that i may have more and would that be okay. The woman i talked to said yes that was fine but to call the day of and let them no the specific number no later than 12:30. Fast forward day of reservation. I get a call at noon asking if i was still going to make my reservation and how many people. I said I believe it's 8 but I'm waiting for my sister to call me and I said I would call her as soon as we hung up and call back. The woman said that was fine. I call my sister and then call the resturant right back. Couldn't have been more than 2 minutes. I said it's going to be 9 people. The new woman i spoke to says very curtly "you have now changed your reservation 3 times. If you change it again we will not accommodate you. I say okay. She also goes on to state that we will not be sat until all the party has arrived and that i have 15 minute grace period. We all get to the restaurant and I tell her we are all here my dad is just getting out of the car. She looks at me and says "you all have to be in the building". I say ok fine. She then had us wait 20 minutes until we were sat. Where is your grace period. Never have I ever dealt with a more rude self entitled woman before in my life. Never did she great anyone with a smile. Way too woody. This was not sourced well. And steak houses go thru a lot of asparagus. Son's NY Strip looked magnificent coming to the table. Impeccable grill marks. Inside, so rare even I questioned it. And I prefer my steak to moo. Wife's prime rib on the other hand.... take a look at the attached picture. Not only was it overcooked it didn't really taste like a proper prime rib cut - 6 to 12th rib. Service was perfunctory at best. The girlfriend's tacos were brought out nearly 10 minutes before the other entrees. I saw the waitress come within an inch of braining a guy at the next table. And when she removed the salads she spun away with enough centrifugal force to fling some dressing soaked lettuce on another table. She made up for it with an attitude best described as dour. But she did keep glasses filled efficiently and responded to a couple of minor special requests - pro tip: ask for extra bread on the way out. Usually stop on the way home from Caseville to get carry-out dinners. Last time they had the order wrong, they made it right the next time. But this time they forgot to put asparagus and the lobster sauce on my Maryland Chicken. This Lucky's was so convenient for us to grab carry-out dinner, but it's not worth it to get home and find they messed up the order, especially since we are an hour away from them. I was reading other reviews and it looks like the past 6 months they've went downhill, seems they are messing up everyone's orders. Great service, amazing food! My family of 4 stopped in on a Friday evening around 7pm. We had a small wait, but they texted us when our table was ready which helped. Our waiter was so funny, attentive and full of personality -- perfect after the long day of walking we had. Lucky's bread is AMAZING! So soft and fluffy. Before you know it you'll eat the whole loaf! I opted for chicken tenders as my dinner entree. It came with soup or salad and a side. The salad was probably one of the best side salads I've ever had at a restaurant. The lettuce was a fresh spring mix and their croutons are homemade. My side was sweet potato fries and they were also delicious and full of flavor. Perfect to dip in with the homemade honey mustard dipping sauce. The chicken tenders were also some of the best I had at a restaurant. Very juicy, fresh and made to perfection. I barely had enough room to eat more than one but I happily brought my meal home for later. The total bill was around $65 for the 4 of us and I must say -- that's a steal! Everyone loved their meal and happily came home with leftovers for another meal for later. The service was horrible! My significant other and I visited here the day of the Super Bowl and noticed a sign saying they were closing early at 5:30pm. We arrived a little over a hour before closing after waiting about 5 minutes someone finally came to the front to seat us and said someone would be with us shortly. We noticed 10 and 15 minutes later after 4:35 two other families came in and were seated and both waited on. No one still never came to wait on us no drinks no bread nothing. It was the night before leaving our Frankenmuth, Michigan vacation and we wanted to have a nicer dinner. Someone from the visitor center recommended Lucky's and said generally they were a "steak/seafood/pasta" type place and we were game. We arrived around 8pm, and after a short 15 minute wait, we were seated. Our server, Courtney, was friendly and helped us zero in what we might like best from their mouth-watering menu choices. Hubby ordered an espresso martini and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a little more martini than would fit in the martini glass so a juice glass of extra martini was given to him. He's never had that happen and was quite happy! Okay, what is it with the fabulous, hot, homemade loaf of bread brought to the table as part of dinner?! They don't do that in Indiana! Better still, it was amazing bread and I honestly think think this was probably the most delicious bread I've ever eaten. Love, love, love that way of offering bread at dinner! Hubby ordered the crab-stuffed grouper in lobster sauce and fettuccine Alfredo as his side while I ordered the 16oz ribeye steak with a sweet potato side. It was all exceptionally good! Lucky's use to be our go to. Not so much anymore. You have to ask for bread with your meal now. They are using bagged croutons instead of their homemade. I always get a Caesar salad with my meal. Sadly, the past few times it's always tainted with slimy lettuce. Salad dressings are of..... they have seemed to have switched to cheap brands. Same with the ketchup. I've also noticed some of our favorites are bi linger in the menu. On a positive note, I always order the ribeye and it's delicious. Love their zip sauce. Servers are always a delight. I Eat Luckys pretty frequently. Bring back the A1 steak sauce please. That in house relabeled temu/Aldi/Dollar General steak sauce just ain't it.
