The ambiance is your typical Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Our server was friendly and professional. I ordered the catfish and for my two sides, I went with hash brown casserole and turnip greens. Overall, my meal was good enough, though I was disappointed with the turnip greens. My client had the country fried steak and seemed to enjoy his meal. I also always enjoy walking around the store part of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and more often than not, I will walk out buying a few items. I would recommend checking out the specialty sodas that the store has. You will more than likely find something that will interest you. While I normally recommend seeking out a mom-and-pop local place, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is pretty consistent and the meal is decent enough. I will give it four stars overall. read more

Cracker Barrel usually does a good hot meal, but not this time. Ordered Chicken fried Chicken, green beans, smashed potatoes, slaw and gravy on the side. 1 biscuit and 1 corn bread muffin. Apparently the chicken was cooked the day before it was so dry, on side gravy was cold and thick they dabbed it on top and it was so thick it just laid there would not run off. So they decided let's put that gravy on top of these cold lumpy potatoes.. the green beans were good, the slaw was good, but to ruin the whole meal with cold dry chicken, lumpy cold potatoes and a gravy that I have no words for was a bad decision on their part. The biscuit was decent and the cornbread was OK. Service was fast. Totally disappointing meal. You can improve by going back to servicing a good hot freshly cooked meal. That meal wasn't cheap either! Disappointed and it's a shame because I don't give people a second chance when I spend good hard earned money on a bad meal. read more

We love Cracker Barrel. We eat here every weekend and it's delicious. We very rarely have issues and the staff is almost always friendly and goes above and beyond. The food is always good. About 35 minutes went by, and the waitress said that they are backed up and we were 9th. Again she was apologetic. Basically, we ended up waiting an hour and a half. She had very bad manners and would get aggravated and curse at me when she couldn't hear me properly, and then proceeded to put my order in wrong. Me and my husbands food was completely opposite from what we ordered and when we contacted Jordan again she did not offer us a discount or anything about fixing the problem she just sounded aggravated and then hung up. I absolutely love this place! It has some of the best food around and some of the best service as well. I like that you can look around in their store and find toys from your childhood while you're waiting. They've always been right on top of things while I was there...I can't speak for how it is for everyone. I've just never had bad service of any kind. First and foremost, if I could of gave this zero stars I would! Tried to eat lunch there today about 130 pm. I ordered roast beef dinner with mash potatoes, dumplings, and a salad, and iced tea to drink. After I waited 10 minutes to Oder these items with 8 customers in the entire restaurant the Duesch bag waiter never brings my iced tea or salad but brings my other food. He comes to the table with this beef that looks like leather from 1902 and I ask him about my salad and drink. He says I was on my way to get your drink and i am making your salad now?!?!? In amazement I tell him I would prefer to have my salad before my meal he tells me it was quicker to heat up your roast beef because it takes longer to make my salad. I tell him to take my food back and bring my salad . He tells me no... I told the idiot to go to hell and he can eat this crap and I got up and left. I think his name may have been Dustin or dusty something in that nature. This guy should not be a server or be handling food. My husband and I ate breakfast here one morning when we were staying at DeSoto State Park. I was very hesitant because I've never been impressed with their food. I should have listened to my gut instinct. I got the breakfast sampler and asked for scrambled eggs. Their cook certainly needs lessons how to do this. Those eggs were awful and runny.
