First let me say the place has a great vibe, and this is the kind of place I love to support, I just wish the experience had been better. Stopped in to take an employee to lunch and the place was not super busy, so I am not sure what the problem was. We were greeted, our drink orders taken and we asked for some fried pickles while we looked over the menu. A few minutes later we placed our order...... almost 20 minutes later our pickles showed up followed by our food not 30 seconds later, and everything was cold. Cold and bland. Visited Vintage 1889 (March 21, 2026) around 1:15 PM with my psychiatric service dog. She is a trained service animal that assists with my disability. Upon attempting to enter, I was immediately told no dogs were allowed. I explained that she is a legitimate service dog under the ADA, but access was still denied. As a result, we were unable to dine there. This appears to be a misunderstanding of ADA rules, which require public accommodations like restaurants to allow trained service animals (including psychiatric service dogs) in customer areas, without exceptions for "no pets" policies when the animal qualifies. The location has a nice historic charm and I've seen positive mentions of the food and atmosphere elsewhere, but this experience was disappointing and prevented me from enjoying the restaurant. I hope they update their approach to better accommodate people with disabilities in the future. read more

This is an amazing place! The food and drinks were incredible, the employees were so friendly and easy to have a conversation with and the overall vibe told me that this is the place to be. Also they have live music playing throughout the week and they are really good. This was by far the best meal I had during the week while I was in town. We both had the Vintage burgers great flavor on a pretzel bun that came with fries. Wife decided to have a side salad which had lots of arugula lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cheese with ranch dressing. Our waitress was nice but needs to listen before running off. Waited an hour and 1/2 for our food barely checked on or had our drinks refilled no apologies for our wait I get it things happen if you are short staffed but at least check on your tables and try to make the experience so someone may come back and give you a second chance. Food was delish! we got the spinach dip appetizer (probably a skip next time but wasn't too horrible, chips just a little stale) I got a burger and fries and it was very good, the burger was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. I'm giving 2 stars because the sweet potato fries were really good but everything else was very subpar. If I'm gonna pay $18 for a steak sandwich I would expect a solid helping of steak. It was literally four tiny strips and all bread. Prices are way too high for what you get. Also, the service was terrible. read more

Service is good. The place is cool. They had live music the night we were there which was fun. The food was very average. My wife had a mufellata with pasta salad and I had a Ruben with seasoned fries. My sandwich was good but a little skimpy on the meat. Fries were good but probably just frozen seasoned fries dropped in a fryer. My wife's sandwich was a mess. The olive dressing was super greasy and soaked through the bread. The meat on the sandwich was fried until it was tough. None of this would be a big deal if we were eating at a gas station deli. But with the money you pay at a place like this the expectation was much higher. Not sure if I'll give them another chance on a follow up visit. It came with a caramel, dipping sauce, and ketchup. Definitely did not need to catch up. The caramel sauce was amazing. It could have been a dessert. However, it said it came with Rosemary on the fries, but I did not taste any of the rosemary. But would still order it My husband got the steak sandwich and it was wonderful. Wow ! They have a big burger called a Bonanza burger with a family homemade sauce. I get a craving and nothing will satisfy that want until I get to the Vintage and bite into that delicious burger with seasoned fries. A pleasant atmosphere inside or out on the patio. This used to be an old sock mill where they manufactured Made in The USA socks and my wife thought I'd like it because I've been supplying industrial sewing machines to the textile and apparel industry for 35 years. I love going to Vintage 1889 for lunch. I usually get the chicken salad salad with the raspberry vinaigrette or the Pimento cheese BLT. Even with the expanded dining room, my biggest complaint, especially at lunch, is that the music from the l kitchen bleeds into the dining area. My last visit they were listening to heavy metal, so a lot of heavy guitar and gravely screaming lyrics, which is not necessarily what everyone wants to hear on a Wednesday afternoon. We made a bit of a drive for a date night to check out Vintage 1889. Really cool atmosphere if you don't mind a kind of dive feel on the inside. Outside has more of a vintage feel. They also have some outside deck seating as well as a back room for larger events. We grabbed a seat on the inside since it was a little cool outside. Great selection of ciders (AO and Cider Boys). Couldn't resist the Blackberry .... and they had it on draft, so good! We started our meal with the fried green tomatoes. Judging by how we destroyed the plate in a matter of minutes, I'd go as far as to say they were good, dare I say great. My Wife had the Brown something (it's basically an open faced turkey sandwich with gravy). She really wasn't a fan as it didn't hold up to the original. They were really nice and offered a replacement meal which she swapped to a burger. I went with the cheese burger with bacon. Aged cheddar and great overall flavor. Burger was cooked exactly how I requested and came out really juicy. Fries were freshly cooked and done to perfection. Really good overall experience! We really enjoyed our evening here and will come back to try some additional menu items. read more

When order was received, I quickly noticed it was not on the proper bread, nor was it round like a true muffuletta.what's that oozing out of the sandwich that had very little meat and a thin slice of cheese. I've been curious about this place for awhile. Food was good. A little pricey for the simple sandwiches but that's the way things are now. It wasn't the great atmosphere that I had hoped for. My one suggestion is for them to put the meal descriptions on the menu. You have no idea what you are getting on some of the meals unless you ask the server. read more

We went there on Oct 25, 2022. I had the chicken salad. It was fresh, delicious, and I understand that all of their bread is made in-house. I really like the field greens served with the sadwich, not a fan of the ice-, berg lettuce that most other sandwich shops serve. We ate outside due to helth concerns. I like the his option.
