This is the most disorganized Cracker Barrel I have ever eaten. It took two hours to get our food. When it finally came it took over 15 minutes to get everything. Once we did, several orders were wrong. If there is one thing I have learned about places like this, take what you get. You don't know when you will get the correct order. And with this place who knows what you would get. There are plenty of places to stop and eat along the interstate, pass this one by. When we caught our waitresses attention you could tell she knew it was going to be raw. What surprised me next was she told the manager and he never came to apologize and offer to compensate us with a free meal or a dessert. Decided to pop in for lunch while our Tesla was nextdoor charging up at the supercharger. We did not have to wait for a table. Breakfast is served all day, so menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner were all provided. I requested a gluten free menu and was given a laminated, spiral bound allergen menu. Our server AJ was nice and attentive. Lunch selections were made easily and delivered fairly quickly and accurately. AJ presented our check and reminded us to pay in the giftshop. After a long drive through the night from VA, we stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast with our kids. A nice cozy fire welcomed us in from the cold, & hot coffee & warm breakfast woke up our weary selves. This was me and my gangs second consecutive day of Cracker Barrel. It took 2.45 seconds to seat us which is alright, could be better. Our waitress didn't take our drink orders, instead, some other lady was very kind and took our order. The staff was not helpful when we .arrived We pre ordered on line and had to wait way too long. Even though one lady kindly said to help us. We waited for an hour, thinking we'd get our food soon, but no such luck. We had been driving from Ohio to Florida since 6:00 AM and were hoping for a quick stop, but the food took forever. We didn't get our meal for over an hour after ordering. When we finally got it, everything was cold. The mashed potatoes ,the eggs, our dumplings and the biscuits were hard. I typically get what I want from this establishment. The food has been consistent good and there is adequate variety. You can also eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner and find dishes to enjoy. The service is usually good, however at times the wait staff may not be in a cheerful mood, but they will respond to your requests. I am one who loves clean silverware. This area is a shortcoming of most Cracker Barrels I have patronized. I sometimes wonder if the ghost of Blind Melon Jelly is washing/wrapping the silverware. If so, I would rather hear him sing the blues than give me the blues over less than clean silverware. The ambiance is what you should expect from a country store. It has a low rating for a reason. Keep driving eat somewhere else. One of the worst Cracker Barrel's I've been to. They were out of country fried steak, Crayons, and they "weren't doing salad". They also took Grandpas breakfast off the menu which was super upsetting. You have to build it yourself and only get one side now. The burger was mediocre but the Mac and Cheese was good. My father says his food was amazing so kudos to the cooks for that one... Overall I would not go back to this location. Just left there. Was taken to a table in the corner that was blocked by an occupied table. We could not even get in to sit at it. I pointed out that we could not get in and could we have another table as there were easily over twenty other tables open. She refused to sit us somewhere else. Told us the other patrons were about to leave (only because WE were hovering over them) and it would be fine. I said Until you sit someone else. She still refused & said there probably won't be anybody sat there for awhile. My husband said-We'll just go somewhere else. She said nothing. Roast beef tasted really off. My fish dinner was fish strips not a fish dinner as is usually se bed there. Biscuits and corn bread arrived without jam and honey and we asked for them as well and received some. The ice tea was overloaded with sugar and no refills until we almost done with our meal. Came in while traveling north for a Tuesday morning breakfast. It was Thanksgiving week, so I certainly wasn't the only one there, but they weren't that busy. I had a tiny hope that they might have chicken and dumplings ready but you have to wait for lunch for those. No worries, that why French toast exists! Service was crazy slow. From the moment I got there it took five minutes just to get a seat. Then it took quite a while to get served. And once I had placed my order (just French toast, no sides or anything) it took another mini-eternity to get the food. Luckily the server was incredibly sweet and brought out extra beverages with the food so I wouldn't have to wait yet and once again for that. Overall, it was fine. The food was warm, the server was sweet, and the flavor was good. Not much you can do to French toast, it just took way too long for the entire process, especially since I just wanted to get back on the road. The restrooms were disgusting, but you never expect too much when you're on the road... I was just surprised given how early in the morning it was. There are six servers and the dining room is maybe 20-25% full. Yet it took them over 5 min to come greet us after we sat and take our drink order. Once we ordered (15 min after we sat down), it took over 45 min to be served. Manager keeps walking around with an iPad but no one seems to be eating. When food arrived- it was hard and cold. All of it. The hash browns were like a brick!!! Couldn't even get the servers attention to send it back. This is not the first time at this location that it has taken a super long time for service or food. Since it's near the interstate, you would expect they would know that a lot of their customers are traveling and would like prompt service. Shame on me for expecting them to change. read more
