The server was absolutely rude. Kept going on about we had to order food before we could get our coffee mind you we were there early in the morning driving from Biloxi to Georgia and just needed a little caffeine. We explained that we were not going to be ordering any food and she got irate and said you have to order food in order to receive a coffee. We have been to numerous waffle houses and never heard of this she kept insisting that it was a waffle House rule, and kept tapping her booklet at the top and saying that you see this number you have to order food and order to receive a drink.. we were traveling through. Stopped to get some caffeine to make us the rest of the way through our trip. We ended up in Leeds Alabama and ask them about this rule they said there is no such rule. Stopped 8:20pm cook and one waitress greeted us as we walked in, we went to sit and another waitress stopped us said the grill was down and turned us away. She was eating and playing on her phone. Mind you we are an interracial family, everyone else was black in there. We went to another drive thru and cars that were pulling in as we left this place were still there when we went back by. Had a hair in our food and they tried to act like we put it there and only took off $2.40, like wtf. The server said "Oh so you just saw it." And giving us looks like we PLANTED the hair. It was a curly short black hair and we both have long brown hair. And it was UNDER our hash browns, how tf are we supposed to see it when we get out food. And even then they should've took off the food that had the hair in it and not try to act like we put it there to get free food. I own a pressure washing business I don't need free food. We were staying in the Days Inn right next door, It wasn't very busy when I Went in & sat down waiting for my brother to come in for about twenty minutes, nobody even asked me if I needed anything, then my brother came in and asked the waitress if we could get some food, she said she was the only waitress there but never asked if we needed something to drink or if we needed menus, then ignored us for another twenty minutes, we Could not even place an order! My husband and I met an out of town family member at 11:00 AM on 7/19/23. During our visit at this location, at all times there were 4-5 booths available and all stools unoccupied except one. Our waitress made us feel unwelcome... examples: constantly staring at us, Continually wiping our table, even leaving her wet washcloth on our table, sweeping under our feet, placing the menus back in front of us saying "in case we need this table".... Remember there were always empty booths...When i actually heard her and another employee making derogatory remarks about us, we left.... Total time in this restaurant was 1 hour 15 minutes. I really don't like leaving bad reviews. Having said that my husband and I decided to stop at Waffle House on our way to the coast. Exit 130 on 65 south Evergreen, Do not go! My husband went to restroom and said it was disgusting( urine everywhere). But we already had ordered. My order came out and then when my husbands with no cheese in the eggs, no gravy on hash brown. So the waitress took it back and then said that the gravy wasn't warm and they had to warm it up. After about 7 or so mins later she came back cause she didn't want it getting cold which was nice. Coffee cup empty and still sat there. Then I asked for my waffle she went a got it and left again coffee cup still empty. So we finish our meal that below average. So the cook comes as we are done and asked tif we would like a side of gravy hash browns, we declined. We already had our check. As we got up to leave the cook and waitress were in the car in front. So we needed to pay and as she came back in as my husband attempted to use the restroom again. PLEASE do NOT go to this Waffle House. I wish I could give a ZERO. The most unfriendly Waffle House staff EVER! I ordered a cup of coffee when they sat us down and gave us our menus. She told me that I could order the coffee "when it was time to order drinks." Walked away and leaned against the counter and went back to their group complaining. It just got worse from there. We visited this Waffle House about the same time we visit most of them and that's after midnight. And it was packed. The staff did a great job at seating people as quick as they could and getting meals to tables as quick as they could and we appreciated it. As with all Waffle Houses the staff was friendly, down to earth and did their best to make our meal enjoyable even this late at night while we were driving down the interstate on our way to Mobile. We all know the quality of food available at the Waffle House and that isn't any different at this location. As long as you order breakfast you'll be in good shape and who could complain about the great sweet tea that have here? read more

I went to this Waffle House in Greenville this morning. I wanted breakfast. Love their food but before entering the restaurant I could see a worker on the front line waring a mask that WAS NOT COVERING HER NOSE! I actually take my health serious and did not want to be a casualty of Covid-19 so I never went in the place. I have to say Waffle House might need to change its name to the Covid Diner! I have gone to Waffle House locations near and far. EVERY TIME I see one or more workers NOT wearing masks covering both nose and mouth! I'll pass. read more

This Waffle House was the worst experience with one I had. The workers didn't act like they wanted to be here, one yelled at another. It took them forever to get something for you or they would just ignore you except for one lady they didn't cook the bacon crispy like we asked and just ignored us when we asked them to put it back on the grill. There has been one in Greenville pretty much all of my life. This was my first time ever trying it. I got the hash browns with cheese and Philly steak bowl. Not really sure what it's called. It was really good! I enjoyed it. No we didn't get our food right off the bat, but it did have to have time to cook. And when we got in there there was a group from a church in there. read more

The worst! Stopped in while traveling through Alabama close to 10am. They were not busy and the manager even greater us at the door and showed us where to be seated. Then proceeded to the counter to bs with the staff. We waited for 10 minutes without anyone coming to us, no water, drink orders, not any acknowledgement at all! While we were sitting there waiting, another patron walked up to the counter to let the staff know they were out of napkins at their table. We stopped here driving through Alabama. We are waffle house enthusiasts and this was hands-down one of the worst ones we've been to. The workers were friendly enough but the service was so slow it took over an hour to get our breakfast and when it came it was wrong! It wasn't busy at all, so we couldn't understand why everything took so long. Then when we got the bill, they had overcharged us! I wouldn't even give this place a smidgen of a star, but had to give one to post review. This was the MOST GOD AWFUL establishment my husband & I have EVER walked into. Outside the place was a lady-either a paramedic or security, cleaning her truck out and had little sidewalk all cluttered up, and on this little sidewalk sat a security guy in a chair-right at the entrance-just puffing away on cigarettes, inside there was not one table clean, and one table looked like the waitress just poured sugar or flour in the middle of it, I'm guessing so she wouldn't have to wait on anyone, because as we stood there in disbelief at the scene, this little waitress walked over to another table and picked up a fork--one piece of silverware and carried it to the sink-i guess she was going to clear the table one item at a time, the large waitress stood there wiping circles on waffle iron with her back to us, she wasn't going to turn around for fear of having to do something and the cook just stared at us. Needless to say, we turned and left!! There are other places where we can spend our money! We would NEVER GO BACK TO THIS WAFFLE HOUSE! read more
