My friends had chicken and dumplings and meatloaf dinners and were all very happy. Waitstaff were terrific. Location is easily accessed near the I-65 exit and Blue Lick Road. Large parking lot and great for a quick stop. Restrooms are fairly well maintained and clean. Gift shop area was loaded with both Halloween and Christmas decor. I am writing another review because I returned over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. My friend got the trout that I had an issue with the last time and loved it, and I could tell that it was cooked and seasoned much better. New management needed here! We should've paid attention to the low ratings. The five of us stopped here tonight on a quiet Monday evening. The restaurant wasn't even half full, but it still took forever. We were seated promptly, but we waited 45 minutes to get our food. We were almost to the point of walking out when our food finally came out. Instead of being relieved, it only got worse. Not a single one of our orders was correct. There were missing dishes, wrong side items, the dumplings (my usual fave) were completely inedible - dried out and extremely salty, hubby's eggs were undercooked and loaded with cheese (which he can't eat and didn't order), my chicken was literally solid black, fresh tomato slices were green, ham was oversalted and could've been used as a frisbee, gravy was cold. The only food that was hot and appetizing were the biscuits. There were obviously problems in the back today or something, but the manager made no apologies and the food was hardly improved when he brought it out again. And our poor waitress was in tears because of whatever was going on with the manager(s) in the back. We let her know that we knew the bad experience was not her fault and we prayed with her and told the manager it was unacceptable for his servers to be treated this way. All around just a shockingly terrible dining experience. This was definitely our worst Cracker Barrel visit ever, and we have eaten at CBs on a regular basis for decades. Yes, Cracker Barrel tolerates overnight RV parking as long as you're just parking and not "camping." So if you can please not deploy all your slideouts if possible and maybe not set up your stadium chairs? This is a good location. The parking lot is tidy and i had no problems here. We were seated quickly, our server was attentive, got our beverages in a timely manner, and the food came out quickly. She checked with us several times to see if we needed anything else. Service team was very polite but seemed like they were short staffed and the food standards are starting to take a nose dive. 9 times out of 10 I stop at this location on my way to Cave City to see my parents. After driving about 400 miles, Cracker Barrel was just what the doctor ordered. We started off with their beignets which were nice and hot. The general store/hostess stand was unorganized and a bit chaotic with people lining up to be sat and those who just finished their meals and tried to pay. This is a go-to restroom stop when we're driving from Indiana to Tennessee. Sorry not sorry, Cracker Barrel: You typically have relatively clean restrooms, so this is where we choose to stop. It's also nice to stretch your legs here and just wander around the gift shop. And if you have kids, you must look at all the toys and books that are in the gift shop and touch each one. Absolutely filthy. Typically, Cracker Barrel has clean restrooms when you're on the road. Not this one. Feces smeared in one of the stalls and no toilet paper. This "Old Country Store and Restaurant" is awesome. The country store is merchandised in such a creative way. The colors are balanced; each section is a theme of some sort. Nautical, sweets, whites, naturals to name a few. With each display section you will find clothing (tops, bottoms) and accessories: bags, hats, earrings, scarves that work together. Today I found 2 bags and 2 pairs of earrings that I love. The shop is mostly for women and children sorry guys but this store is amazing. I love the décor in the restaurant as well. Old country tools and paintings, rustic appeal really beautiful to look at. I ordered one of the specials BBQ ribs half rack with 2 sides (fried okra and green beans) with sweet raspberry tea. The ribs were very tender and the okra and green beans had a nice flavor, the tea was delicious and refreshing. The prices were very reasonable and our waitress was wonderful, attentive, helpful and courteous. I would love to eat and shop here again and again. Not only were the salespeople friendly the customers were friendly. After 10 days on the road we wanted a nice meal for our last night. Cracker Barrel was a short walk from our hotel, so we decided that would be our "last supper" for this trip. We don't eat at Cracker Barrel frequently, so we weren't familiar with the menu. Kristin was our server, and she was very patient as we peppered her with questions. I did not believe him when he told me the chicken was chewy and rubbery. So I tried it for my own sake...OMG...it was the weirdest piece of chicken I have ever tasted. It was rubbery with a bouncy squeak when I chewed down on it....such weird texture...I even pried away the outer fried shell to make sure it was chicken meat. It appeared to be chicken meat. Typical Cracker Barrel store with rockers out front while waiting and the general store to shop for all those special goodies. Easy spacious parking with room for large campers &/or trailers. I ordered the haddock (fish) with double mash potatoes and green beans, along with cornbread. It was good and I would order it again. They were rather busy and our waitress Victoria did a much better job tonight with our party of 5. I've been to more then 20 Cracker Barrel stores, this one several times in the past but today, it was really really bad, my wife ordered pinto beans, was to come with corn bread and relish and onions, she got the soup beans only, the beans where really old, couldn't eat them, the waitress was nice, new and didn't know what went with them, so my wife explained that it should be with onions, corn bread and relish, she brought them out, the wife ate the corn bread some beans but the onions where really old, was nuts, I had breakfast, wasn't great either, the bacon was not done on one end and burnt on the other, no flavor, the gravy was all dried up, looked like it had been setting all day, my wife went out to the car, I waited a good 10 minutes for the bill.
