06/20/26 Once a month a group of about 8-10 men from our church gather at the Metro Diner at 9:00 am to have Breakfast together and they have a short devotional. They eat out on the patio room. and they get a different server each time. Today my husband's choice was the Bissell Breakfast. It comes with 2 (scrambled) Eggs, Bacon and a Waffle. He really enjoyed his breakfast. Reece W was his server and she checked on the table several times and to see if they needed any more help. She asked if anyone needed a carry out boxes. Their food is really good and their coffee is always fresh and hot. My husband told our daughter about how good the Metro Diner was and she went a couple of weeks ago with her family. Whether it's packed or not, this place is always wonderful! I have never been underwhelmed by what I've ordered. They offer so many options for even your pickiest palette! I love getting their fish & chips, the slaw is amazing! Meatloaf is paired well with the bashed potatoes a d their green beans. The waffles are so fluffy and you can get them nearly anyway your heart desires! Plus, I'm a huge sweet tea girly, little bit picky about it too and I LOVE how they make theirs! The kids love it here too, they like looking at the illustrated chalkboard with all the specials and coloring in the cute little kids menu they have. read more

This place is solid with hot and fresh food and very good customer service. I got the fish and chips and my wife got chicken sandwich with onions. Everything was solid and gotta try those onion rings next time. Our waitress kept checking on us and refilling our glasses. I love you get everything on the menu matter what time you arrive. We recently ate at Metro Diner after attending a local event with our daughter and daughter-n-law. While I typically prefer eating at locally owned, non-chain establishments, this was convenient and we had not tried it. The diner is huge with a plethora of seating, and we were seated immediately. Our server arrived within several minutes to get our order and returned in a timely manner with the drinks. Everyone in our party opted for breakfast options, despite it being mid-afternoon when we arrived. My review can only speak to the breakfast options. Everyone was pleased with their food, and I would compare the quality to that of the average diner experience. The portions were huge. One person in our party got the mimosa flight and they were just okay in my opinion. Our server was attentive, keeping our drinks topped off regularly. It appears that Metro is a well-loved spot as it remained very busy during our entire visit. Parking is plentiful as the diner is located in a strip mall. read more

Chicken and waffles combo is my fave! I love the tenders option! They have this spicy syrup that is the perfect accompaniment to the sweetness of the waffles! It stays busy but you can usually get seated quickly and service is always fantastic! We've never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for our food. I love the overall feel abs aesthetic of the restaurant it's very welcoming! read more

The portion was generous and everything came out hot and fresh. On top of that, our waitress was amazing, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. This place is really good especially for carry out. The food is always hot and fresh when I order and the service is quick and friendly! I love to order the grilled cheese and I add turkey. The fries are delicious! This place is always packed for dining in but it's never a long wait, I just prefer carry outs. read more

We stopped into this diner after The PUG FEST at the Kentucky Fairgrounds to grab dinner. As per my usual, I had breakfast for dinner (gravy w/ biscuit, eggs, hash browns, sausage). Right up there with the Waffle House albeit a bit more $$$. My daughter-in-law opted to include a Mimosa flight with her entree. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to locals and out-of-towners! My son and I came in from out of state for a family wedding and wanted breakfast after our flight.. After we checked into the hotel, we left and got there about 30 minutes before closing time and asked if they would still serve us, and they said yes. The restaurant was still 90% occupied at this point. Cassandra, our waitress, was fairly new, but she handled it like the pro that she was! This was one of the best breakfast restaurants we have been to. All of our food was delicious! Rhonda was our server and I could not recommend her enough. Rhonda was attentive, kind and had such a wonderful attitude. We did not have to wait when we got there despite the restaurant being packed. The food also came out very quickly. Our order was correct, even with making some changes. Our daughter has a dairy allergy; they were extremely accommodating! Rhonda was knowledgeable about the menu and did everything to help keep our kiddo safe. Our experience was so great we even came back the next day! 10/10 recommend. read more

Metro Diner is one of my favorite places for delivery comfort food; I've never been to the their physical location, but I've ordered many items from their menu and all have been some of the best comfort 'diner' food I've had! Recently we had their turkey dinner and pumpkin waffle (both seasonal); WOW. The pumpkin waffle might very well be the best waffle I've ever had - it was drizzled with marshmallow fluff and the cinnamon butter was *chef's kiss*. My daughter is obsessed with the shepherds pie and their chicken fingers are excellent! They also always pack everything exceedingly well and always include every condiment you could want. Since we were nearby at the Preston 16 Cinema this was a perfect stop for dinner. Reasonable prices and no nonsense home cooked meals is their forte. Service was very good and food was filling. We had a really good time during our very first trip to Metro Diner. The service was friendly and super efficient. We didn't wait very long to order and our food came out pretty quickly as well. I ordered the Avocado Bowl (minus Hollandaise Sauce) and it was DELICIOUS! My husband and I shared the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes to boot, mainly because I just HAD TO give those a try. My dad had a gift card for this place so he treated my boyfriend and I to brunch, and I was beyond pleasantly surprised. We started with the $9.99 mimosa flight - talk about bang for your buck. These things are huge! I got the croissant French toast, and it was so good! The waffles also looked beautiful but I didn't try those this time. The boys both got different scramble bowls, the southwest and the meat lovers. Both of them were happy with their choices. The portions were also huge to the point that we all ate a lot and still had leftovers. Had a craving for healthy not fried and ordered the meat loaf. The hard dried 2 pieces of meat and mashed potatoes were covered completely in brown gravy. I ordered a side salad that was small and I didn't finish it. I make it in a loaf pan with peppers and seasonings where it has volume and substance. I brought one piece home to add it to my dog's food. In my picture the meatloaf looks worse on the dog's plate than the homemade dog food. We have eaten there several times and enjoyed the food. Stuck furniture shopping on Derby day so as I was starving or as much as a fat guy can . I was looking for a place to eat and came across this metro dinner. Well let me say that this place is fantastic. We were seated right away and Olivia came to take care of us and was supper friendly and helpful in helping us to decide. Out food came out quick and let me tell you I was immediately transported from my shopping hell to a foodie bliss. The gravy was some of the best that I had and the crispy home fries were delicious bits of a potato heaven. My wife had the waffle and it must have been good because that is the first silence I have had all day. I would highly recommend trying metro out I can't wait to come back. read more

She was always one step ahead of our needs from extra napkins to suggesting we buy the bottle of champagne instead of by the glass ( didn't realize they did by the bottle). Had lunch today with family at Metro Diner. The dining room is open, bright and just a little bit on the noisy side, but we could have contributed to the noise as a large party of fifteen.
