Had to take our food to-go. Rude service and the restaurant is extremely loud. Opened our food and took a bite of eggs only to find eggshells throughout my eggs and plastic in the grits. They forgot our gravy and charged me 8.00 for two drinks we didn't even get to drink. When I called, I explained the situation and the manager (very rude may I add) instantly said "Well we aren't going to refund you" though I never asked for a refund. Save your money! 1st time at a CB since the woke takeover. And that's only be because my wife's friend gave her a $30 gift card. Breakfast menu only had 3 choices. No oat meal, no breakfast steak, no country ham, no English muffin.... Disgusting what those woKers did to this American restaurant. Trashy clients - adults with PJ's, chewing with their mouth open, no conversations with family members at the table, few smiles. Wait staff acted grumpy. They have always been somewhat inconsistent from day to day and month to month dependent on the cooks and management working. They have slowly gone downhill and are their way out as a brand. Service was friendly. That was the only good thing about this CB location. Our biscuits were undercooked and was like biting into dough. The chicken tenders with dipping sauce I got was the single most terrible meal I've had in years. The chicken was far from hot and barely warm; probably due to the heat lamp they must sit under. It's evident they cook a lot of it ahead of time instead of made to order. It was also chewy and had gristle. The fries were undercooked as well and were inedible. The green beans are usually a home run but also lacked flavor. They were not busy at all, so I'm not sure why the food was so terrible. As far as ambiance-there was a lady sitting next to us. It was evident she's a regular. She had a ton of bags with her and was charging her phone at the table. She walked around a lot and was pretty loud. I saw her walk to the back where the kitchen was situated. She walked much further back than should have been allowed due to cleanliness/sanitation reasons. I saw one employee dart in the other direction when she walked towards him. This was the single worst CB I've ever been to. The only reason we came here is because it was next to our hotel. Finally a manager looking person told us she'd get someone to seat us after about 10 minutes. No one in line barely 4 tables seated at that time. Cracker Barrel: Where Breakfast is Optional and Excuses Are Unlimited Ah, Cracker Barrel--the place where you go for a comforting, down-home meal, only to leave questioning every life choice that led you to walk through their doors. After three--with the Tifton location being the FINAL one, I've officially learned my lesson. Let's start with the absolute miracle of them not having coffee at 7:02 AM. That's right--coffee. The literal lifeblood of any breakfast establishment, the easiest thing to have ready before the doors even open. But no, not at Cracker Barrel. Instead, you get to sit there, caffeine-deprived, wondering if you mistakenly walked into a furniture store instead of a restaurant. I guess being ready before doors open is just too complicated for a place that's been in business since 1969. But don't worry! The waitress had a solution--she tried to upsell us lattes if we wanted something "caffeinated." Why settle for a basic necessity when you can be pressured into ordering an overpriced, unnecessary drink? Guess what else was behind door #2... No French toast because apparently, bread, eggs, and a griddle are some of the rarest commodities in Georgia. I must have missed the French toast famine of 2024--or maybe it was just sitting in the same imaginary stockroom as their coffee. It was almost comical, like being on some twisted game show where I had to spin the wheel and hope I landed on a breakfast item that was actually available. And now for the cherry on this disaster of a meal: the loaded hash brown casserole. Sounds delicious, right? Wrong. What I got was a thick, rubbery slice of processed cheese just sitting on top, completely unmelted--as if they had slapped it on as an afterthought and called it a day. It was so tough and rubbery, I've had government cheese from my childhood that melted faster than this garbage. Enter "the manager" or as I like to call him, the human embodiment of "Meh." The first thing out of his mouth? "These things happen." Oh, do they? Do these things just "happen" at every other Cracker Barrel too, or is it just a special feature of the Georgia locations? He then went on to tell us that a lot of things have changed--including the thickness of the gravy. The thickness of the gravy? Sir, there are so many better things you could have said in that moment. "I'm sorry" would have been a great start. "Let me go to the nearest grocery store and get coffee myself" OR get one of the many bags on the shelf in the gift shop. Instead, we got some philosophical nonsense about how he "lives this life every day" so he knows that "these things just happen." I will never, ever set foot in another Cracker Barrel again--unless, of course, I develop a strange craving for frustration and regret. Another disaster at CB. We were approached rather quickly to place our order. First off, no lemon for tea. Then no coleslaw. We still had hope of a good late lunch. NOT! My wife's chicken was way over cooked. And gravy we paid extra for was cold. No on to the Friday Fish Special. Fish was hot but a little over cooked. Carrots were cold and so were the fries. When the server returned after I was done with the fish she brought me 7 that's seven fries. And the carrots were microwaved. We were never asked about what type of bread we wanted so she just brought cold buttermilk biscuits with 2 pads of butter for the 6 biscuits. I asked for some cornbread muffins and brought some that needed to remain in the oven for another 4 or 5 minutes. Then came desert. Peach cobbler. Which considering all of the rest was not bad. I have ordered to go with the Cracker Barrel app several times. It was very easy and convenient to use. This restaurant has large variety of food from all day breakfast to homemade tasting meals to seafood. I highly recommend the chicken and dumplings. The dumplings are made in house so they are very flavorful and taste freshly made. The hash brown casserole and fried apples along with the hot and fresh biscuits make for delicious sides to go with your entree. The only thing that I wouldn't recommend is the fried shrimp. It is a bit overcooked and very hard to chew. My family and I also enjoy browsing the country store after our meal. There is a beautiful selection of clothing and home decor as well as toys and sweets. read more

First off we had to wait 10 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered a diet coke he ordered coffee. Server brought me a regular coke. We both ordered the old times with eggs scrambled well, bacon crispy, and I got grits, he got apples, plus it came with biscuits and gravy. The eggs were had snotty whites the first time, so manager took them back and brought out more. These had snotty whites too, so we couldn't eat the eggs. The biscuits were doughy and the gravy tasted like flour. The bacon and grits were the only part of the meal that was edible. $30 for bad service, 6 pieces of bacon and a cup of grits. The visit today was terrible. None of the food was plated right. My wife ordered chicken and dumplings and they mixed my vegetables with her food. The waiter, Steven, first told us he messed up the order then he said the kitchen did it. They had the wrong vegetables on her plate. My fries looked like they were burnt to a crisp. He took her plate to the back and it did not come back until after my son and I finished eating. She had to eat her meal after we finished but her chicken and dumplings looked like soup. When we got to the front to pay I told them what happened and the staff acted like they didn't care. Definitely not a place to get a good meal. We love stopping at Cracker Barrels because we can usually count on getting consistently good food. That was not the case here. Our server Tina was very nice, friendly and took our order very quickly. We ordered some of our favorites, meat loaf and chicken. My meat loaf order was an usual small portion, the mashed potatoes, another small portion were not very tasty and obviously were instant. My wife's fried chicken was a full 1/2 chicken but, was so salty she could hardly eat it. We both ordered the new brussel sprout/kale salad. It was so sweet we could hardly eat it. We mentioned all of this to the server and she just shrugged it off and went on to another table. And to top all this off the music was unusually load. The biscuits were half cooked and cornbread were like dry hockey pucks. Country fried breakfast chop was too tough to cut with a steak knife much less chew. Worst service ever. Sunday fried chicken at Cracker Barrel is God's gift to man since Chick-fil-A is closed and we must get our chicken elsewhere. It's almost like Cracker Barrel and Chick-fil-A made a pact for ensure the success of their fried chicken. On our way back to Atlanta from a weekend beach getaway, we stopped at Cracker Barrel in Tifton, GA for the final cheat meal. Fried chicken, mac and cheese, corn bread and fried okra makes for WAY too much food for one person but I didn't care! The fried okra was a little soggy for my tastes but flavor was on point. Service was ok, not the best for a restaurant that wasn't so busy in the late afternoon time. It's always fun browsing the store after eating such a big meal. Christmas items were already for sale, even though it was only September. Gotta be prepared, I suppose. Hard to say this about one our favorite places to eat across the country. I don't know what the issue was but I was not by myself in picking up a called in order tonight . We are in our 70's and had been driving all day on our way back to Ft Myers and were tired and hungry. I had to call three times and and waited on hold each time to place the order. I walked over from the hotel to get it. Got back with only part of the order, walked back over to get it corrected, walked back, still not right, and add not having utensil's (after asking for them) to eat with was the last straw. As I stood there from the first time to third time I watched someone else have issues with there order during my attempts. It's a problem that can be fixed. But I will think twice next time. read more
