All I wanted for an afternoon snack was a beer hall pretzel and some mustard and lo and behold we walked by this place. Friendly staff, clean and perhaps spartan interior, lovely outdoor seating area although it did rain and we had to move inside. Thank you guys so much for having a red ale, so tired of going to breweries with 11 IPA's and nothing else. Overall, a great space, although $65 for a hoodie was a bit too rich for my blood. We stopped by for lunch on Sunday afternoon. They have a huge beer selection and a unique menu. We ordered the Caprese sliders and a Kale Caesar salad to share and a beer flight and Kolsch. They were out of kale, but offered to make the salad with the house lettuce. Both the sandwiches and salad were delicious with a lot of flavor. We enjoyed our beer as well. This is a brand new facility with a large interior with tons of tables, both low and high top tables. There's also a huge outside seating area with heaters, of course. I was pleasantly surprised they had a professional musician Mike Sinclair, singing songs in the lower patio. They have a huge beer selection, at reasonable prices. Today I got two different lagers, which were just what the doctor ordered. Don't overlook the food menu. They have quite a few light bites, in the categories nibbles, craft board, sliders, and logical greens. They also have nightly specials. Cute, modern looking bar with a wide range of Northern California beers and small bites to accompany them. The outdoor seating area is a great place for a drink with friends/family if you're in Truckee. Although I appreciate the rustic 50s era decor you'll find in most of the Tahoe area, it's refreshing to see people going a different way with this. When we were there, music wasn't playing so it had a quiet vibe but that was probably cause we were early. I think if they had a well curated and mellow music selection, it would be awesome. read more

The best dog-friendly place in downtown Truckee. We have been bringing our pup here since we got her. The outdoor seating is spacious, giving your pup enough room to move around while safely tucked by your table. The owner and entire staff are friendly, helpful,l and dog-friendly. Beer - the beers are tasty, and the staff all have solid recommendations on the beers based on your requests. We had beer and snacks here a few days ago. We tried a flight of beer - the Californian- all of the beers were great. Then we had the pretzel (absolutely amazing), the kimchi deviled eggs (overcooked but the flavor was great), and the kale salad (very flavorful, leaves were tenderized, although I'd recommend chopping them up a bit more). My husband and I visited on a weekend trip to Truckee and literally loved Craft + Logic so much that we went back the next day! We started off our mornings hiking some of the trails above Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake, and by the time we were finished a beer sounded really good! Spoiler alert: they were delicious. We stuck to the sours and IPAs (our favorite beers in general). Scott and Nate had such knowledge of each of the beers on tap and gave great recommendations. (And their kindness is what makes me want to write a review bc I want this place to thrive!!!) On top of the beer and food being yummy (check out the pretzels wow), the overall atmosphere and aesthetics of the taproom were lovely. (Anyone who can make a place feel cool + modern but also incorporate fresh flowers wins in my book.) There were people working, hanging out with a large group of friends, watching sports at the bar, and families hanging out outside. The table loved the Kimchi deviled eggs and Pretzel sticks & beer fondue. I ordered extra beer cheese with the pretzels, so the photo posted has extra beer cheese.
