We were gifted this food tour from our family and were so happy to have the opportunity to go today. Since I am a lover of most all foods :-) the Delray Craft Food Tour was a wonderful gift! Our group met up with our tour guide Anthony at El Camino in Pineapple Grove. We were given a short introduction and sat down to our first tasting starting with Margaritas, Home Made Chips with Red and Green Salsa and Brisket Quesadillas. What a great way to start the fun. Next stop was a real surprise, an Asian Street Food location off the beaten path called Goodies. We sampled a delicious fruit tea and a new item to me JianBing, an Asian chicken burrito with a crunch which made the taste and texture exceptional. We actually watched the chef create this on a crepe maker! (see video) This is a great affordable lunch stop in Delray! Next stop, Beer Trade company very conveniently located next door to Goodies. Everyone was offered a beer of their choice from a HUGE selection in the cold case and on tap. It all started in Maryland so Old Bay was a great addition to their Honey Old Bay wings recipe marinated in what else BEER. They were crispy and sweet with quite a kick! We also sampled the risotto balls - yummy! We walked a few blocks to stop #4 Death by Pizza! The owner Koby greeted us and gave us some background of this Detroit style pizza company which has become a very popular location two blocks off Atlantic. What a treat! This business is take-out only so we stood outside and sampled a square thick crispy crust slice topped with amazing cheese and tomato sauce known as The Enemy! I can see why..i gained a pound in the sampling but boy was it worth it!! Sadly one last stop, (i was FULL but having way too much fun) @ Dekes Coffee. Nico, a young visionary, gave us a full explanation of the coffee making process as we sampled an affogato, espresso shot over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you like strong unsweetened coffee, this is your coffee shop. From coffee plant to green coffee beans to the roasting process, we saw it all. Unfortunately, I don't remember where the coffee beans originated in our espresso affogato, however Nico spoke of Ethiopian coffee as one they serve often. I would highly recommend this tour as a chance to sample some great independent restaurants in Delray. Our group seemed to be most impressed with the gems we found off the beaten path. Our group had a fantastic time on our food tour! Every stop was carefully crafted, and the tour group has clearly built lasting relationships with a lot of the restaurants in the area because we had executive chefs and owners speak with our group at nearly every stop. You are given a lot more food on this food tour than on others we have done, so come hungry! What a wonderful afternoon!! Julie was our tour guide and was awesome. We had such a great and fun group with us. We laughed, ate and drank our way through Delray Beach. As a local, there are so many places we want to try that it's impossible to hit them all. This was a great way to try a bunch of really great local places in one afternoon. We took the Tour November 28, 2025 with a party of four. The first stop was at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach restaurant. The tacos were good but not exceptional and the Margarita was very strong. No non-alcoholic beverages were offered. The second stop was at Casablanca, a charming restaurant in a historic building. Awesome location, but the food was a bowl with yellow rice, pico de gallo and some other ingredients that were good, but again, not great. A bit confusing. The drink was Sangria and again, no non-alcoholic option offered. The third stop was at Wild Thyme, another beach front hotel restaurant. They served fried shrimp and conch fritters - one per person. Decent, but nothing to write home about. And once more an alcoholic beverage which tasted lovely. By now, you would have been pretty wasted, if you finished them all. The last stop was at Archibald's Bakery; the only time, we veered away from beachfront tourist locations. The scones tasted great but were super dry. A coffee would have hit the spot, but none was offered. All in all, we were done in under two hours. I would have loved to have fewer beachfront locations or hotel restaurants that you would go to anyways and more "off the beaten path" options. Also, for a lunch tour, there is a lot of alcohol involved. The tour description is confusing, with 8 stops being mentioned as included, but then four in another part and five restaurants on the list. read more

What a great experience, the tour guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the city, the restaurant, and the food being served. I have never done a tour like this but would highly recommend Craft Food Tours. During the tour, we were actually stopped by a couple that returned to the restaurant we were at because they had been there on a previous tour with Craft Food tour. My friend and I looked to find something foodie to do while in Delray. A quick web search turned up Craft Food Tour. The food in Delray is a paradise for foodies like us, so we decided to sign up . Registration and payment were smoothly done online . We met at 11:00 for a 3 hour walking food tour . We started out at El Camino -WOW- and ended up at DaDa- EXCELLENT! We toured 6 places for a great sampling of local fresh foods and drinks. Aside from the two restaurants mentioned , we sampled The Popcorn House , the New Vegan , Beer Trade Company ,and Eat Market. Hard to pick my favorite stop. Eat Market had the best Cuban sandwich sampling !!! Wish I had another one right , now! The owners of the restaurants all came out to meet and greet. That was fun. The tour owners , Matt and Anthony, gave us local history lessons and very much conveyed their passion for fresh gourmet foods . My friend and I made friends with a couple and ended up having drinks after the tour ended . Fun! Put on your comfy walking shoes and steel yourself for the heat of Delray. The heat from the brief walk from restaurant to restaurant could be off-putting for some , but we were back in AC with a cool beverage/cocktail in hand soon enough. Hey, this heat is nothing for this Dallas girl ! The food on this tour was delicious, the drinks were awesome and Matt and Anthony better hire more help because I see many tours in their futures . Spent the afternoon in Delray Beach with Craft Food Tours; hands-down it was one of the best I've ever joined. Our guide Matt was the perfect host and the selection of restaurants was superb. We visited traditional spots like El Camino and Cabana El Rey as well as enjoyed some Asian streetcar food at Delray Goodies. If you've never tried Jian Bing before it's definitely worth the trip for a full immersion in Asian cuisine and culture. For those who love Garrick's you'll definitely switch loyalty after visiting The Original Popcorn House, the flavor Board was packed with unlimited combinations and options. Amazing day today. Of course the weather was in our favor. We met at El Camino Restaurant at 11 am. We had 8 people in our tour group. Two young guys led us on an eating, architectural, history tour of Delray Beach. Yummy brisket quesadilla and for the vegans in the group, vegetable quesadilla. Loved the brisket one but the other was pretty darn good. A tasty Margareta with only half rim salted followed. I thought that was clever because it satisfied the salt lovers and the not salt haters. Next stop was Eat Market where we tasted sandwich of turkey, avocado, bacon etc. Fantastic Beer Trade Co had obviously beer and food and games if you want to hang out. Risotto balls go well with beer. I, myself am not a beer drinker. The Original Popcorn House was one of my favorites because I am a fanatic, avid, devoted popcorn FAN! Banyan house served slushy and creme brulee cheesecake. Delicious Pineapple Grove is a very neat place in Delray Beach Tour guides Matt and Anthony were super charming. Craft Food Tour was a five star experience. My girlfriend and I did the Thursday happy hour tour where we recieved a cocktail and snacks or appetizers at every stop. If we were to purchase everything individually it would've cost more than the tour itself. Went on a tour with a large group of friends, honestly was not sure what to expect. I have to say was pleasantly surprised. From the start the tour guides were amazing, they gave us a rundown of our tour and provided us history behind every stop we made. Mat made the tour truly enjoyable and informative.
