She brought ponchos so we could continue on as it rained. It was beautiful to learn about and see this neighborhood through the eyes of someone who grew up here. Toni knows so much history and seemed to know so many of the people, too! The tour has so much food - I was honestly more than full at the end and I didn't even finish all of my portions. I think it was a really good range of drinks, desserts, and food. Even though that coffee cup looks small, that's a full serving size and it was strong! I really really appreciate that this tour not only accommodated for vegetarians but also chose options for me that were realllllly good. Instead of the cubano, I had these fried plantain cups stuffed with veggies. They were SO good and seasoned well! And the spinach and cheese empanada was also amazing. My friend who got the meat options also loved her food. This tour is the perfect way to learn more about Cuban history, the history of the neighborhood, see all the street art, watch a game at domino park, and experience some of the best food in Miami. I cannot recommend this enough!!!

We even stopped by a cigar store and learned all about cigar making while watching a woman roll cigars. The time went by so quickly and it wouldn't have been the same experience without Mariela as our guide. She is so passionate and knowledgeable. Her energy was so upbeat. I think this a great tour for visitors who want to learn about a culture that shapes Miami as well as locals who want to learn about a neighborhood they may not know the ins and outs of. Mariels brought Cuba to us and we can't thank her enough! We highly recommend this tour!

Its all culturally narrated with stops that include cigar factory, Domino Park, Callejon Del Gallo, Ice Cream, Cuban Memorial, classic cars, and the theatre. NOTE: As self-professed coffee snob (Jamaican Blue Mountain, Kona Hawaiian, ect) this was added to my list! Less is best when it comes to Cuban coffee. Very rich and powerful little cup. The locals warned us to sip slow, woke me right up and offered good advice on adding sweetened condensed milk. Cost 5/5 $69.99 As a self-proclaimed high low girl, this tour was right up my alley. A good cultural tour which included food, drinks, historical facts, and opportunities to socialize. I also purchased food from the bakery, cigars, Cuban coffee, drinks, and souvenirs. I had plenty of leftovers and was full when it ended. This tour is included on the "Top 10 Food Tours in the U.S." for a reason, worth the cost. Location was central and rich with cultural from the elders in Domino Park playing dominions to the colorful roosters nearby. Great experience, I learned a lot. Danny knew so many people on the street who stopped to speak to him. Sure, most of those people had something to sell and they hoped we would be their customers- but it was a joy to be exposed to it all- a person with parrots for photographs, a man selling peanuts for a dollar, and all the people in all the shops we stopped in . We ate cuban sandwich (amazing!) , guava pastries, empanadas, and churros- it was basically two meals!. Danny also told lots of stories and we learned about the hobby of dominos with a Cuban twist, and the history of the Bay of Pigs. This was not a serious history tour, but it was super fun and I highly recommend it. He pointed out a jazz club on the tour, Ball & Chain- we stopped there for a cuban mojito after the tour and listened to the band. It was a wonderful afternoon.

Alex our instructor was fun, engaging, and an intelligent instructor that broke the dances down for even beginners to follow easily. We first had bachata lesson at 8pm, followed by complimentary mojito and Cuban bites, then wrapped up with salsa lesson at 9:20pm. I wished salsa lesson was a full hour, followed by more fun salsa dancing with instructor dancing alongside (you know, cuz regular student folks won't keep dancing salsa on their own without pros' boosting presence) because afterwards everyone pretty much stopped dancing salsa after the last song after lesson ended. Then it was regular club time. Good vibe and we had fun. The wristband we got allowed free entry to the club downstairs so we could enjoy the cabaret performance and backstage live music band a bit too. Overall I would recommend Alex and Salsa Mia without any reservation for anyone with an open mind looking to have a good dancing time! Try it - don't be scared as there's no need to be! Gracias Alex!

I loved the setting - Mango Cafe is a vibrant and fun place - the class takes place in a side room on the second floor. We had 15-20 people, and the space was starting to get tight, but bearable. Appetizers were tasty, and enough for a couple of helpings. For the free drink, they accommodated the request for a virgin mojito. Includes a wristband for Mango Cafe entry after 10:00p (they close at 5:00a). Highly recommend the class, it's a great value.

Just today we took the tour and were amazed. My husband and I had a wonderful time! Everything about THIS food tour was 5 stars. Steve was our guide and he is such a nice person, we felt really comfortable asking questions and speaking with him. Also, he is very knowledgeable about Miami and its history. But more than that, he made the tour very personal. The four places we ate at were great. By the end of the tour I was quite satisfied with the range of foods we had tried. I'm also glad that now I have some new places to go to on South Beach that I never would have tried before. I am sworn to secrecy on which places you'll visit, as each tour should be a fun surprise, just as Steve intends it to be. Believe me, you will have an amazing time. I would definitely recommend this tour to others and I myself will definitely go back for more! This tour would be perfect for a date, group of friends, or just for those foodies who want to try new places!

We met at the Westin Hotel and started at its eatery, the Lona Cocina Tequileria, where we had salsa (I was not a fan, too smokey and not tomatoey enough) and chips, a chicken taco (one of the best items on the tour), and a tasty margarita. Next, our tour guide Kat took us to the Takato in the Conrad Hotel where we were served delicious, melt-in-your-mouth sushi; angry chicken; and a Korean Zombie alcoholic drink that was so strong I had to trade it in for a mocktail. (Yes, I don't like my drinks too strong.) I was looking forward to the bao but the restaurant did not provide that on the menu for our group. Our tour guide was left apologizing for the missing item, though it wasn't her fault. At the Wild Thyme in the Atlantic Hotel we had coconut shrimp and conch fritters. We were limited to one each of the two items. The fruity alcoholic drink tasted somewhat like a pina colada (but I forgot the name). We topped off our tour with a trip to Archibalds Village Bakery, where we were given either a blueberry scone or a cream scone. I would have much preferred to choose my bakery item (like we did at Hollywood Donut on the Las Olas tour). Nevertheless, we had a fun few hours with a superb tour guide, and we were full enough from our tastings that all we had for dinner was some fresh fruit.
