They seemed way understaffed for the day. I found a woman to ask her for help, we showed her the app, and she confirmed they must have it in stock but not out on the floor. So she told us she would go and find it. Ten minutes later she came back with the collar. She had searched so deep into their store room and found it for us. That's dedication. The cashiers were also very sweet. The store stock was a bit disappointing, especially if half of it is still in the store room. The regular prices are SOOOO high. I miss Pat Catans for real. And the aisles are super tiny. No matter where you are you're in someone's way.

I was essentially ghosted three separate times during the ordering process. First, I submitted an inquiry through their website and never heard back. After two weeks, I went into the shop and was told someone would call me that day or the next. Another week passed with no response, so I had to follow up again myself. When I finally spoke with the designer, I emailed multiple inspiration photos showing exactly what I wanted: three bouquets with pastel pink and ivory flowers. She said she could do it and would call me the next day with a quote. Instead, I didn't hear from anyone for almost three weeks--until the day before pick-up, when they called asking if I was coming to get my order. By that point, I had already started making plans to arrange flowers myself because I assumed they weren't going to follow through. When I picked up the bouquets, they were bright red and looked nothing like the photos I had sent. To their credit, they did fix the color issue before the wedding, but I was still disappointed with the size and quality of the bouquets for what I paid. Grateful for the ladies at the counter that were very kind to me every time I came in. The flowers worked out in the end, but the stress and lack of communication made this experience far more difficult than it needed to be.

While at the store, we were helped by an associate-manager to select a font and were assured that the names of the groomsmen and dates would be centered on the hatchets once complete she even placed tape where the engraving was to be placed. Four days later, we went to pick up the hatchets expecting to love them instead the engraving was incomplete, the placement was not centered as we were told and the hatches appeared severely scratched from the engraving process. When we told the store we would not accept them they informed us "they thought so" and proceeded to engrave each hatchet anyway (instead of screwing up one or two they ruined all six). To make matters worse, the manager that helped us in the store was the same individual who did the engraving. Now we're stuck finding six new hatchets and need to have them engraved. Things Remembered in Mentor is one more retailer that has failed us in the process of completing our many wedding related purchases. This store will not receive our business in the future.

We were invited to an art show last night by a dear friend who is an excellent artist; in several mediums. We arrived and entered to find the establishment was SO much more than I ever dreamed. There are a multitude of local artists displaying their work as well as teaching classes. The various studios were extraordinary. So many different mediums, so many forms, so many interpretations... it was inspiring. There were so many works I wanted to take home I could have filled my car; but then where would my wife have sat? So I resigned myself to enjoying the beauty of it all in the moment. And commiting to return often. If you enjoy the experience of creativity and the amazement of people's talents, you should definitely make a trip to "Stella's Art Gallery".
