Not only were the places he took us perfect, he was so helpful and friendly in telling us more about the Charleston area. We did the wine, distillery, and beer tour. He was so kind and even let us drop of goods by our Airbnb before picking an amazing rooftop bar in town for our final drop off. We will definitely be using this tour company again. read more

Booking this trip was one of the best decisions I made for my sister in laws bachelorette party! We had a group of 6 people and booked the "Sippin Tour". We were picked up in a Mercedes sprinter van at our Airbnb by our driver, Terrell. The van has lights inside and you can connect your phone to play music through the speakers. Due to the size of our group we were paired with another bachelorette party of 5 people. We each received 1 bottle of champagne and OJ as well as a container of snacks and water. Our first stop was the Angel Oak Tree, which was lovely to see and learn about. Terrell took as many pictures as we wanted before getting back in the van and heading to the next stop. Our first tasting was at Deep Water Vineyard. We went inside and had a tasting of 6 different wines. For anyone that actually likes wine and knows what they are talking about this is not the place for you. The wines are all very sweet and lack any complexity or depth. But that's not Crafted Travels fault and the experience is still fun! The Firefly Distillery is right next door on the property. The really nice thing was because we were with CT we got to cut the long line waiting for a tasting. We got 6 shots and got to choose 1 out of 2 options each time- rum, whiskey, moonshine (so good), vodka and something else (who remembers at that point haha)! You can also order lemonade mixed with your choice of liquor. I got the lemonade with Peach Moonshine! We had time to walk the propoerty a bit after the tasting. Terrell took pictures in the vineyard for us and with the red, old-timey Firefly truck. Our last stop was Low Tide Brewery. There was a table reserved for us and they had our beers ready (you select your beer earlier in the day). We got souvenir glasses at each stop and as well as one from CT. Each one is wrapped up for travel and a nice touch for the end of the trip We accidentally forgot our wine glasses in the van after being dropped off and Terrell was nice enough to drive back and drop them off! I cannot recommend this company enough! They made everything so easy and were professional to the very end! read more

Visited a winery, distillery and brewery. As a bachelorette party we had a great time touring and I f you love history and stories, choose Coby. He is incredibly knowledgeable, super sweet and great company. We had a blast going from location to location, never rushed, got some incredible photos (courtesy of Coby!) and really enjoyed our time! She was willing to accommodate any of our needs and actually took pictures for me and my wife. The tour itself was great; they took us to a breathtaking 400 year old live oak tree (simply incredible to see), followed by a winery/distillery tour and finally to a craft beer location. Our tour guide, Joshua, picked us up at Poogan's Porch and from the beginning I knew it was going to be a great experience. He called and texted when he was on his way, spent extra time helping us sync our phones to play music in the party bus, and took excellent care of us during the entire excursion. I can't say enough nice things about Crafted Travel. The price was a bargain considering the service we received, the stops, the drinks, the snacks, and the goodies we took home. coby of crafted travel provided the absolute high point of my recent trip to charleston, when i booked a personalized tour of boone hall plantation. i wanted to see boone hall but i did not want to deal with finding the meeting point for a bus, nor did i want to deal with waiting for stragglers who bog down every bus tour. as a very quiet listener who is a sponge for information, i also desired an in-depth scholarly description of charleston and boone hall, not a watered down version for the masses. crafted travel's website seemed to offer exactly what i wanted - personal service at a price that was quite affordable. coby was absolutely perfect in every way. he appeared perfectly on time at the hotel with a spotless mercedes filled with snacks and water. he provided a very informative narrative of charleston (and beer!) on the way to boone hall. upon our arrival at boone hall, he arranged the tickets and timed everything perfectly so that i didn't miss any of the presentations. coby made everything flow, and with his guidance and perfect timing, i always had a front row seat for the presentations. on the tractor tour of the grounds, he enthralled the entire wagon with his narrative while we waited for the tractor driver. i only wish the boone hall guide would have handed him the mic and let him do the whole tractor tour. i encourage everyone to book a crafted travel tour. the door-to-door experience is delightful and offers you a luxury that is well worth the price. if you are lucky enough to have coby as your guide, all the better. i plan to book crafted travel again on my next trip to charleston. read more

My husband and I had a private tour with Josh, and it was an absolute blast! As we drove to our first location, Josh pointed out the cooler he packed for us in the back of the limo which was filled with local beers, as well as a basket full of snacks in case we got hungry or needed to sober up. We then arrived at our first location: High Wire Distillery, where we had a tour of the distillery and sampled their vodka, gin, rye whiskey, and dessert liquor. We then went to Frothy Beard where we sampled our favorite beers of the day, and Josh helped set up an outdoor game of corn hole for us once he heard how competitive my husband and I were. Additionally, once Josh heard we were in need of pictures on this trip, he kindly offered to drive by the waterfront where he took great pictures of us. We ended the day at Monkle which was a beautiful Belgian brewery where we tried the Belgian double, triple, and quad. All in all, Josh really went above and beyond. His friendly personality made for a comfortable environment, he was a great driver, and he was very professional. My husband and I went on the Sippin' Wadmalaw Island Tour on Saturday, April 7. I had booked this tour an entire month prior to our trip, but was called 2 days prior and told that one of their drivers was feeling ill, so instead of having a private tour we would have to be with another group. This was disappointing, but I didn't want to cancel so agreed to go ahead with the group tour. It turned out okay, as the ladies we were with were very pleasant, but it was not ideal. John, our driver was awesome. I give him 5 stars for his courteousness and go-with-the-flow attitude. He was very well-prepared and even had umbrellas on-hand when it started raining. The vehicle for our larger group was a Lincoln Navigator and was spotless and big enough for everyone. The Deep Water Winery and Firefly Distillery are in the same location, and were pretty crowded and the lines were long. I was kind of surprised that there wasn't a separate section just for tours... We had to stand around and wait for awhile. The Angel Tree was pretty neat and we finished up at Low Tide Brewery. Again, pretty crowded, but worth the wait. So why only 4 stars when everyone else has given 5? Well, it simply isn't a 5-star experience. Don't get me wrong, you'll have a good time, but it won't blow you away. Also, they solicit reviews (full disclosure:I was promised a $20 credit for my honest feedback), which is neither here nor there, but may explain the difference between my own and others' reviews.
