Thunderbird Trail - Near Crafton Ridges
    Michelle V.

Beautiful and uncongested. The trails are shared with riders so be courteous and cautious when hiking these parts. My group and I started on the Thunderbird trail at 10am and finished the loop at 12 noon. It was a clear but breezy Saturday with glimpses of super blooms along the ridges. I'd love to come back to make it to the flag pole next time!

Lots of different paths up the hills , you can access the top of the hills via the community college parking lot through the school.

We've been coming for a few years now to this trail and I love the different options that you have. It's very people, kid and pet friendly so I definitely recommend if you don't want to come out alone come out with a friend! We see people of every age and sometimes people on mountain bikes enjoying the trail. Always great weather, shady spots, nice breezes and of course great views! Two of the trails that we have done I would say are beginner to intermediate not too advanced or difficult if you're an avid walker/hiker. If you get a chance check it out!

    Dog having fun.

Nice walking/hiking trails located here. I basically stayed on the main Fire road and hiked up about 3 miles and back. Good views of the valley below. Not an aggressive hike at all. Easy and leisurely strolls available. Also you can take dogs, so it's a big plus. Good for exercise and getting outside. Good times!!

The Crafton Hills Open Space Preserve is a beautiful collection of trails and paths for every level of hiker, biker, walker, runner and dogs. The scenery on these trails is superb and breathtaking. Dogs are welcomed and the trails make for a terrific short walk to hikes that are several hours long through hill and dale amongst The Craftons! The trails are well marked and wide enough so it's safe and pleasant for both "man and bikes". Bring water, your phone or camera, some good running, hiking or evan athletic shoes for an excellent outing! . . . . #craftonhills #chosp #iloveyucaipa #gohiking #trails #mountainbikes #ilovemountains #ilovethecraftonhills #waynesalvatti #photografxworldwide #behealthy #behappy #walkforhealth #northface #blackdiamond #jthavn #hikingdogs #gravelgrinders #openspace #naturewalk #trailrunning #theconservancy #craftohillscollege #photography #nature

Beautifully kept trail very well-maintained awesome views even with smog in the air lots of different opportunities for more trails and adventure some shade but mostly unshaded paths great balance of incline verity not too many people but allows horses bikes and pets on a leash there is notice for wildlife around so definitely keep an eye on your pets and little ones would recommend for family hikes there's lots of little trails for kiddos

    Beautiful views!

Nice area right in our backyard. The flowers are blooming and the grass is green. We went early so we didn't have any trouble parking. Dog friendly, but don't forget your bags! Will definitely be hiking here again.

Great hike next to the college that goes back far into the hills. You can park on street or near college. Hiking difficulty is moderate.

Took my granddaughter today for her first horse experience. I believe it was Brian (long braided…read morehair) that gave the lesson. He was so trusting and relaxed that my granddaughter felt so proud of herself at the things she got to experience! One example is that she got to walk her horse--Mama Rose--back to the red "barn" all by herself once she had completed her session! She's 6! We arrived early and got to "self tour" without anyone being uptight, which included visiting the goats! Before my granddaughter took her helmet off, she asked to go again! I came home and purchased 3 more sessions! We plan to take her lifelong buddy next time! Experience over toys! Experience is the best gift ever!

Worst horseback riding facility ever!!!!!! I cannot believe a place that's supposed to cherish the…read morehearts of young children could be soooooo cold. Where to begin..... From the moment we entered the facility we were NEVER greeted, felt very unwelcomed. The trainers looked at us like they didnt even want us there if i am being very honest.... however, the non-refundable lessons were already purchased for my son and he insisted to have and complete them....which he did...as young boy, who spends most of his time introverted, he was immediately drawned to his horse"Josie" and insisted to continue with more lessons. So ofcourse threw jitted teeth I called back to schedule 1 months worth of lessons that they have advertised in their bathroom at the facility for $170 for the month...mind you the lady at the office also told us its $160 for 4 lessons....after 2 weeks of waiting to hear back from the facility to schedule more lessons, they finally decided on the 3rd week that they are able to book him for the following week...not the case as they actually were going out on vacation and decided to let me know week of his supposed lesson... Following week (end of july) they get back to me to schedule but asked if we can delay again to begin first week of August. Which I obliged.....Also they mentioned the price for lessons were $190 now!!!!!! Again I obliged and provided payment. Each delay has crushed my sons heart , mind you, as he just wants to have another lesson..... now today early morning I receive a text to let me know they had scheduling errors on their end and will provide lessons starting 2nd week of August....when I shared that these delays hurt my son and if they are able to provide ANY favor of good faith or compensation for their scheduling errors, they said I can go find another facility.....
